They still just can’t get any thing right. Went just for milk shakes last time and they were not as good as before. I won’t be back unless some one has to have this like my brother, but not likely. We love the Thia place now!’

We have been consistently going to this place since our last visit. My kids love this place. Smash Burger is now a great addition to a great town. Great tasting gourmet burgers. Outside of the burgers(which are freaking awesome), they have fried pickles.yummy. The service was great, super nice & friendly.

I don’t get why Smash Burger has such low ratings. Years ago when this location first opened, my friend and I tried it out and were not won over.(But also, this was when we were younger and thought Jack in the Box was fantastic. Oh my, how the times have changed!) It was a brand new burger joint(the concept and all) to the area so I can see why the community needed to warm up to the new establishment. Just at the start of our new year, my husband and I were on the prowl for a burger; No fancy crap, just a good homemade-tasting patty with the classic fixings! We ordered 2 of their Smash classics(I think this is what their original burger was called). The menu doesn’t state the prices of their food, although I am sure it’s probably listed somewhere and I missed it. I honestly didn’t let that deter me from ordering.(Nor did I ask what the price was, because 2 classic burgers with 1 large Smash fries and 1 large fountain drink to share came out to $ 18 – a steal). My husband loved the egg bun. The bun was toasted but was still very soft and warm. We thought the burgers were very tasty. As a potato lovin kind of gal, I enjoyed their olive oil and rosemary seasoned fries. They were crispy and plentiful. We will definitely be back.

My past 4 visits have only gotten, to the point I can no longer subject myself to paying premium price for subpar service and food. My order was up quick, with the exception of my shake, which took an additional 15 minutes too receive(had to remind the service person). My buffalo fries were tasty, but I was hard pressed to find buffalo anything on them. Good by Smash Burger, you were good last year.

Used to frequent this location when they first opened up and actually enjoyed their food and concept. Just came in tonight and ordered to go for a party of four. Got home with several bags of food and drink and was ready to enjoy our meal. Turns out I was charged for items that we didn’t receive. Had requested eggs on two of the burgers and there were none! I don’t think it is difficult to put a meal together, to charge and specifically add a desperate line item and totally miss it. Very disappointing. Not sure if I’ll come back again but my friends who chose the place were upset. I wasn’t going to drive back to ask for eggs… But when you’re expecting something and it’s not there when you’re ready to eat… I’d be upset too. Smash burger didn’t come through this time around. Fortunately, I’ve been here before and have had a better experience to base my rating on otherwise I’d seriously give them a 1 star review.

My best friend and I were really hungry… so she recommended this place. I walk in thinking, «oh it smells pretty good.» I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich that looked really good! As I look closer… there was a huge black hair on the lettuce! I took it back to one of the employees and he politely took off the charge from my card and fetched me another. As I look closer to my sandwich… ANOTHERNEWHAIRWASINIT! x___x Seriously… I don’t blame the kid but honestly, if a customer brings back the food because of hair… make sure there isn’t another one! I even tipped the kid a few bucks because I felt bad… The only good thing I can say is that the peppermint milkshake with added chocolate syrup was waaay yummy! But I will never be eating there again…

Arrived at this place at 930 pm. Place closes at 10 but was denied to place an order bc they said they were closed. Last time I ate here we walked in at 945 pm and was still able to place an order. Needless to say we won’t be coming here anymore. If you’re going to get paid to work until 10 then keep the place open until 10 because ITSYOURJOB.

I would give zero stars if I could. We found«fried» staples with the fried chicken tenders we ordered to go. I had taken the larger pieces to cut into smaller pieces for my toddler. My toddler refused to eat them so not wanting to waste, I started finishing them instead. Then I noticed at the bottom of the cup container there were staples! I don’t think they were embedded into the chicken tenders or my scissors would have felt them as I was cutting them into smaller pieces. I believe the staples were in the deep fryer and got pulled out together with the chicken. Still gross! We’ve eaten at this Smash Burger before with no issues and actually liked their burgers and fries. It’s a shame we now have to blacklist this place.

Date of visit: 10÷7÷2015 If I go somewhere regretting what I just ate, the highest rating I can give is a 3 star. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a die hard fan of In N Out so wasting my burger ration on Smashburger was extremely disappointing. I get it — it’s cool to create your own burger with lots of different toppings, but I prefer the simplicity of an In N Out burger and knowing exactly what I’ll get. Something cool about this Smashburger — I noticed that most people in line had called their order ahead and were just picking it up. I thought this was pretty cool, especially considering PQ is full of busy families that may not want to have to go out to eat. Eating at home is so much more comfortable. Classic Smash. No onion, no pickle. The burger was just okay, albeit a little on the greasier side of burgers. The bun was also just okay and the fries were mediocre. I didn’t even finish the fries and I love fries. They were just lacking in taste. Cam and my Dad seemed to really enjoy their burgers, but this joint just isn’t for me. If I want a burger, I’ll go to In N Out. On the plus side, the staff here was really nice and kept a good handle on the customers coming in and out of the restaurant.

Went to smash burger for the first time today. I had no idea what I was getting into. However Aj, the gentleman that worked the cash register. Thoroughly took me through the entire menu and explained everything in a great way with the attitude to match. I ended up with a create your own chicken sandwich. Aj’s customer service skills were excellent and made my time here great. He had my girlfriend and I laughing and everything. Really impressed man, good job!

Had the trufle mushroom swiss with lettuce and tomato regular patty size, burger was cooked right with great flavors, side of trufle fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries were shared and enjoyed around our group. Wifey had the black bean burger which she didn’t quite enjoy as much as I enjoyed my real burger lol… lemon herbal honest tea had bit too much ginger taste to it for me… my girls enjoyed their kids cheeseburger and hotdog too Will definitely come back again

Smash and dash does NOT work. I came in and they looked confused, had to «look» for my order. They then«found» my order and«pushed it through» and said they did that even though I didn’t pay for it, which I clearly did. Before I could insist I had paid for it they handed me a credit card receipt to sign… So… I guess I had paid for it? Anyway from the customer service, cleanliness of the restaurant, etc… A step above a fast food restaurants this place clearly is NOT. Amazeballs: San Diego burger/chicken sandwich Bummer: everything that u have to deal with along with it.

Honestly one of the best burgers I have ever had. I always have the mushroom regular burger and I am never disappointed. I also order the sweet potato smash fries which are always very delicious. It’s definitely in a great place with a big shopping market so lots of parking space. It is usually pretty crowded but I take that as a good sign showing you that the food is good. When I drive here I go 20 minutes out of my way to pass by many other burger places I could have eaten with so that tells you how good they are.

Not a fan of Smashburger! Way too expensive for food that isn’t fresh – their signature smash fries have such a great flavor but any time I’ve ever gone it isn’t fresh and it’s always soggy. The burgers themselves are good but just like the fries don’t taste fresh. Save the extra $ 10 for a meal and have In N Out that’s actually hot and fresh every time.

I was anxious to try this local San Diego chain in my ongoing quest for the perfect burger. Overall, not a bad combination of fast food-style ordering with table service. The combinations and toppings are vast, if not a touch pricy. The Buffalo fries are a must. I want to give it 5⁄5 but the the kid behind the counter looked like I woke him up so he wouldn’t miss the buss to school. He was tired, didn’t know the menu, and clearly didn’t want to be at work. My daughter’s order was brought out wrong — twice. Considering the theme is customization — not a good sign. Also, as they say at McDonald’s… time to lean, time to clean. There were a number of staff doing nothing, while the drink station was not stocked with many items, had and empty iced-tea dispenser, and every surface looked stickier than Strawberry Shortcake’s restroom after several months of no maid service. But the burger and fries save this from a 3⁄5 rating. Seriously though — management — a simple checklist for stock and sanitation, and a supervisor checking the tickets before they are brought out, and I’d be there a few times a month.

Love making my own burger and their shoestring fries are delicious. Their patties are fresh, not frozen hockey pucks like most fast food hamburger joints. I like to get the bacon cheeseburger w/avocado, onion strings and a fried egg! Try it! It’s the BEST burger combo, IMO :)

This is the only Smashburger location I have been to. It is always busy, but service is fast for dine in or take out. The staff is friendly and quick to clean the tables in the dining area so there is always a place to sit and enjoy their food. I have tried all their burgers on the menu and they all taste good. I always tend to go for the Classic Smashburger with fries. The food always comes out cooked perfect and hot when served. Price to food serving ratio is about right. As for the restaurant itself, I noticed a wallpaper in the dining area was peeling off. The beverage area was a little dirty, just needed some attention to detail. The men’s restroom tonight was clean but there was no toilet paper in the stall!

A bunch of friends and I came here after hiking the potato chip rock after our friend who is from the area had recommended it. There were plenty of seating and the concept is similar to The Habit. I had ordered a San Diego and opt for the grilled chicken instead of beef patty. The burger arrives with on bun with sauce, lettuce, red onions, avocado, and another bun with a piece of grilled chicken with melted cheese on another bun. It was good and was what I had expected. My order of just the burger was $ 7.87. I had given the cashier $ 8.07 and had expected $ 0.20 back. Instead, no change was given back and when i was waiting the cashier had just given me a look. I know its just $ 0.20, but I don’t understand how the cashier had just assume to just keep the change… Besides that fact, Smashburger was an okay experience.

Smashburger does not get the credit it deserves! Today, I came in to order my favorite shake, Nutter Butter, but I also caved in & bought a burger & fries. The Nutter Butter shake is so delicious & they use real ice cream. You can ask them to add more Nutter Butter or ask them to not blend it so much so that you get big pieces to eat, which I love! I ordered the San Diego burger & it is great! It comes with a juicy burger, tomato, lettuce, onions, cilantro, avocado, cheese. They give very generous portions of the avocado. Get the bun extra toasted! I order the SmashFries, & these are the best fries I have ever had. They are thin cut & tossed in Rosemary olive oil goodness.

Clean, trendy environment — gives me the idea of an upscale fast food joint. I think I came here originally when it first opened, and came back more recently for a quick dinner. I remember my first impression was a good one, but upon return I think it’s gone a little downhill. I ordered a make your own chicken sandwich with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and cheddar cheese. It was great — except for the chicken freaked me out a little. It was REALLY thin, and really greasy with the cheese on top. I understand that putting a slice of cheese on a hot sandwich is going to generate some grease — but this just confused me. When I received the burger I thought it was an egg! I ate it anyway — and it was good. The toppings were fresh and the bun was fluffy. Also ordered their smash fries which I really liked! They were covered in herbs(rosemary maybe) and very thin. I thought the fries were really what brought the meal a big step above a fast food joint. When we came here — it was very empty and the servers were very attentive and friendly. Not sure if this is how they’d behave if the place were busier, but they took good care of us even though we weren’t being served. Definitely will be back — and hope to try their milkshakes next time! Definitely rather come to smashburger than any of the neighboring fast food spots in PQ. They also gave us a coupon for $ 2 off $ 8 last time we visited!
