Sony entertainment at its finest. Be sure to check out the cafeteria. Good food, good people, make sure you bring your ID to check in. #inviteonly

Arturo’s sushi is the best. Dan is the best waiter you could ask for. Food is pretty good. This review is for the restaurant and not the caf.

Love the views from Sony Skyview Café! Great 360 panorama of perennially sunny Rancho Bernardo. I was glad when an ex colleague now working at Sony invited me to go there for lunch(you can only go if you are employee or guest of an employee). I missed the sushi but got excellent salad variety and soup. This is a great corporate cafeteria in a prime location, but yes, prices can be a little too high. The place is very spacious and organized, and outside the lounge area is just awesome. I need to be invited again soon!

It’s definitely better than most work cafeterias I’ve had the privilege of eating at. You do need to badge in so it’s open to Sony employees only. That means it’s off-limits to me now. Sad face. I can’t speak too much for the other foods but I would go to this place 2 – 3 times a week for sushi. The chef there is very experienced(over 25 yrs) and makes some mean rolls. His brother happens to make sushi for Qualcomm on Thursday’s and he’s equally skilled in this trade. Great guys that go the extra mile to make regulars happy. Carlos who now comes to Qualcomm for sushi days makes me custom made rolls which makes me very happy. :)

The Sony Skyview Café is for Sony employees only, you need a badge or to be an employee’s visitor to eat here. The food is decent, what this place really has going for it though is the view. It has an amazing outdoor, sky scraper view of Rancho Bernardo from the top of the Sony HQ building. Makes for a very nice place to enjoy my breakfast or lunch. I think the food is slightly overpriced for a cafeteria style place, but reasonable nonetheless. I love the salad bar when I’m feeling healthy. The Mongolian grill is really good when it’s open, I think it’s only open twice a week though. The pizza is OK, not horrible, but nothing spectacular. They like to switch it up and offer wraps or pasta bowls on some days as well. The grill is really good if you’re looking for a burger or a nice piece of fish. The grill seems to be standard for most customers I’ve noticed, it always has the longest line. Overall, this place is OK. Quick and easy food stop if you’re a Sony employee. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast burrito, mmmmm good with hash browns inside. Everything else is about average. It is nice to be able to order grilled steak, salmon, or shrimp at work if you don’t want to go out for lunch, Sky View Café is a quick and decent lunch time alternative if you need to get back to your desk or make a 1pm meeting. If you really want a salad and end up paying full price for it you might as well get as much salad as possible to fit in your to go box because its basically«all you can fit». Then again, it probably defeats the purpose of getting a salad in the first place. TIP: if you’re an employee or contractor that frequents this eating joint, get the Sony debit rewards card and get points for every purchase. eat here about 5 times during the week and you get a free meal item by Friday.

The salad bar is decent and they have a max price of $ 7.50 or so if you pile it high. They are lacking in protein though. Sometimes they have bacon which is way fatty and today they were out of the chopped up egg. Still fatty but great protein. They have 3 greens to choose from and a bunch of veggie topping. I also had the veggie pizza today. It was pretty bad. Ok I’m not gonna get sick or anything but with Sublime Pizza near by and Costco even you have way better choices. Also the Mongolian BBQ is not running regularly anymore. I think the smart people stick to the grilled stuff. Pretty pricey for lunch time fare. Convenient if you work here at Sony.

Food was pretty good but a tad expensive for what you get. They do have a good variety of options available which is nice. Anything from grilled food, salads, sandwiches, Italian, Asian, etc. Great view of Rancho Bernardo which is pretty amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating too.

Good selection. Nothing particularly great or bad. Maybe avoid the mongolian bbq. Private and behind secure enty. Available to Sony employees only!
