Thanks Chris! You da Bomb! I have a terminal diagnosis of NASH and have about 1.5 /2 years left. It is SO very difficult to find food banks with proteins. I do not need some complacent employee’s abuse. I have enough on my plate when it comes to frustration. WHY do these food banks treat people so horribly? They could take a page from Mama’s Pantry. They are always so nice.

Évaluation du lieu : 2 Long Beach, CA
They are real full of themselves here, they give you an appointment time, you Chris show up, & this individual with the lack of people skills rivaling Rush Limbaugh tells the client I brought in, «You are late!» Yes, first time here with their new system in place(which IS a major improvement from before), and this individual was so condescending, his picture should be next to the word in the dictionary; THIS individual who clearly demonstrated his lack of people skills is not trained(and should be) to work with those less fortunate, confused, dual diagnosed & the forgotten or worse, except the young man at the front desk, who was very professional and kind. NOLP in Long Beach via CARE Program is better every Tuesday-truly like day & night! Okay, so Special Delivery has a new system now where you show up on select days at 8AM, get an appointment for that day, then come back, easy enough right? Ah…NOPE! ================================================================ The person I brought-«I have a 12:30 appointment(the time is 12:25) Chris-Too bad, you’re late, we processed all of the 12:30 appointments at 12:15PM!» My client-«How does that make me late.?» Chris-«It just does, now either you want to come in or leave, your choice.» So after my client went in: Arrives a disheveled but pleasant young man– someone who was an hour & ½ late-«I missed my 11:15AM appointment.» Chris-«No problem, come in, and we will get you started.» Arrives a young African –American girl-«I’ve never been here before, and don’t have an appointment.» Chris-«No problem, show your paperwork to the front desk person, proving your income or lack there of, and you’re set.» *The lack there of, what does that mean, do you want her to show you a picture of the cardboard box where she lives under the 805 freeway?! Way to go Mr. Finesse, how about«Or some documentation from a case manager, your MD, Social worker, or agency that is attempting to assist you with income?» Better still, how about not saying that at all for ALL to hear, and say«If you are homeless or have no income, we will work with you.» I’m standing outside waiting for my client, then I received more ‘tude from this turd, who BTW refused to let me accompany that person inside, I was his volunteer for this errand, «Nope, to crowded, don’t care who you are, he was late, we get too crowded!» I understand that they must deal with many people, with lots of questions, who are rude, manipulative, deliberately ignorant, forgetful, suffering from being indigent, and many other maladies and, all of that and more which I’m sure gets overwhelming and, you are volunteers too, so the only rewarding experience you would have is that you enjoy helping people, offer that & your time unconditionally-if not, then you are volunteering at the wrong place or you should not volunteer at all. I truly wonder where your training for this type of volunteer position came from Chris if, there is any at all. Also, SIR, you get to go home, have a roof over your head, food in your home, loved ones and for the most part have good health & medical coverage, and lastly enough of a stable income apparently so volunteering again, is supposed to be a joy and not about money or talking down to people one minute and being as cordial as Glenda the Good Witch the next. So, the quality of the donated items from what I saw provided, are quite good(Hence the second star), distributed fairly and, only once a month are you allowed to [Shop] here as they refer to it; have heard that many are given more than once a month privileges allegedly, but people receive what they need and it is regulated accordingly. Yet if this individual of whom I speak(That would be you Chris) was involved in the medical groups programs that I used to oversee and still do periodically for this type of service, volunteered and behaved in the manner as you did & do(because I’ve heard this from MANY clients too) and, what I saw today and treated our patients this way I would remind you«That it costs you NOTHING to be nice to people.» A gift, talent & skill you lack so severely Chris, and are in need of, you would have been told, your services are no longer required and, I would have ended it ALL with this:
