This park is great for those who have kids involved in sports; Otherwise, it is not my park of choice in the SR community. Lots of practices and games happen at Dingeman Elementary or the field across from the elementary school. This park can keep little ones or other kids busy for an hour or so. It isn’t a big park with a big playground… so bring a bike or get into the habit of walking to pass time. I mainly use this park to park my car in for the Farmer’s Market or the Food Truck event at the adjacent elementary school. *When there are baseball games going on, the snack bar at this park is usually open. They sell the usual hot dog, pretzels, candies and drinks.

Pros: Conveniently placed next to Dingeman Elementary’s playground with easy access. Wide open with lots of room to stretch and run. Three primary baseball/softball fields with a large playground area. Roomy bleachers, well kept grounds and restrooms. Lots of shady trees for cool relaxation and for watching the Little League Games, Soccer Tourneys, etc. Cons: Limited parking, exiting the lot can be dangerous as it funnels into a fast moving thoroughfare(Scripps Poway Parkway), when foul balls go over the fence they can land onto the street, don’t let your kids play or wander beyond the smaller fence or they’ll go into the street. Tips: Park in the staff parking lot of Dingeman Elementary or Scripps Ranch Farmers Market(old Ellen Browning Scripps Elementary) after school hours then walk across.

This is only a review of the grounds. I haven’t used the community center or played on the playset… This park has a baseball diamond and a playground. It’s really close to the roads so I felt like I’m inhaling the exhaust a little, but both roads are not heavily traveled in the evenings. There are a couple gates that I’m not sure what it locks out? It’s pretty small so it takes only a few minutes to walk around it.
