Everyone on campus seems to love to hate on Sub Connection. I would agree with the statements that they aren’t NEARLY as good as Subway, but they aren’t that bad in terms of prices. The sandwiches are somewhat bland but they aren’t on the bad side. Never go here if you aren’t using a meal plan from SDSU. If you are, it’s all right to stop by every once and a while. It’s run by students but for the most part they tend to be friendly.

Wannabe Subway. It’s employed by a bunch of students and the subs are the worst. Never going here again. Wish I could rate this zero. Oh and the seating sucks if you go in when its the most busy, noon. Try to skip this option.

The sandwiches are mediocre, bread is disgusting, veggies semi fresh, employees are terrible, and you’ll never see me pay once again for a 5 dollar six-inch sub when I can get a good footlong sandwich at Subway for the same price. The service is quick, that’s it. I’m only there for its convenience, but lately I’ve considered just bringing my own lunch(I don’t like most of the food on campus). They have the self-serve fountain drinks, and they actually charge for refills. It’s probably for the sake of being fast, but people refill for free regardless. The staff should take note(if they care).

The SDSU iteration of the on-campus student-staffed sub shop. Seating depends on time of day; forget seating a group at peak lunch hours. The counter service can range from earnest to surly. Beyond its location, it’s pretty much the same as any franchise sandwich shop. Sub Connection takes its cues from recent Subway«innovations,» like multiple kinds of bread, adding pepperjack as a cheese option, carrying exotic sauces like honey mustard or creamy chipotle. You’ll pay a cheap fast-food premium for the convenience, but it’s in the top-five of campus eats.

These sandwiches really aren’t very good, but they’re convenient, otherwise I’d probably never, ever go here. The stuff is just kind of slopped together and sometimes it’s not even fresh! The bread will be stale, the tomatoes will be hard, as will the lettuce. To make a good sandwich you need to put love into it, and 9 times out of 10, this place doesn’t feel the love at all.

Fake Subway but even better. The best thing here is their chicken salad. Made fresh and yummy everyday.
