Keeping it simple… AWESOMENESS! I highly recommend the Machaca and Egg Burrito! I’m saving the MONSTERSIZE Bean and Cheese for later

I live in mission valley. if you’re from the area you know we don’t have any good food joints. especially any half way decent Mexican joints. This place is by far the best place for a near by location. I don’t have too many complaints for this place other than they don’t have a salsa bar or free spicy carrots. That’s just being picky but those are 2 of my favorite things about taco spots. The burritos are large and tasty but the salsa is kinda ehhhhh. I’d give it a try!

It’s been nearly 7 years and I must post an update. After 7 years of seeing and tasting awesome changes, I am so happy to say that Super Bronco has won over my heart. I’ve been coming back to Super Bronco every 2 – 4 weeks since I first started posting. The taco shop is 1 block away from my work so I walk there in no time at all. Let me start off by saying that their burritos have cut down so much on greasiness. I fully enjoy their carne asada and carnitas burritos. I’ve also been frequently coming back for their breakfast burritos. They are huge and price is awesome. Even better the flavor is perfect. I love their bacon, egg and cheese burritos. But the one thing I come here so often for is their flautas de pollo: rolled chicken tacos. I love these so much. They are usually smoothing to hell with guacamole, sour cream and cheese but you can ask them to put it on the side. For work parties, I often order 30 of these then have them cut it in half to make 60. They also give me all the sides in nice little containers. My coworkers devour them insanely fast. So… Super Bronco. I love you guys. Thanks for turning me into a huge fan!

I stopped in here based on a recommendation. The carne asada tacos were pretty good. Only complaint was that the meat was a little overcooked then I like but it was ok. The inside looks like it has not changed in years compared to some of the pictures posted. Service was your standard taco shop variety, quick and efficient. It is located in the 7 Eleven. They are two different entities even though they are located in the same building. The parking can get tight with the big rigs and the drive thru of the adjacent business.

I come here a lot since I work down the street from here and there is hardly anything good around here to eat. Anyway all I ever order from here is roll tacos and carne asada taco. Lol. I’ve ordered burrito de machaca but it had eggs and they seemed like they were cooked on top of something else which tasted nasty and plus I didn’t want eggs in it. The burrito was very small too. I saw someone at work buy one a couple days later and his was waaaay bigger than mine so never again. I also bought taco de carnitas and it had all this fat in it and like hard pieces so I didn’t like it. Other than that roll tacos are delicious they are full of lettuce tomato and avocado which all tastes good not like other avocado with no flavor and what not. The roll tacos are full of meat and yummy cause trust me it’s hard to find a taco shop that has good roll tacos some hardly put any toppings and roll tacos are all tortilla like one little line of meat gross anyway well worth the pay. The tacos are really good too big so I make two out of them lol and they have these chilies they cook and have by the cashier there soooo good :) everyone is nice and they know me and what I get since I pretty much always order the same thing hahahah

This place is just steps from the border crossing in Otay Mesa at Nicola Tesla Court. It is inside of a gas station and 7⁄11 store. I work just 2 miles north of this taco shop. Some items in the menu are great. I stopped coming here because at times the place is so crowded that the tables and the floor is just nasty. It makes me wonder of the kitchen. The food is good ans some plates are great and other not so good. They need to hire someone to just keep up with the table, the trash cans and the the floor. At peak times, it is hard to almost impossible find parking.

Don’t let the exterior fool you — this little dive taco stand inside a 7 – 11 has the best Mexican food in San Diego. I discovered this place after a co-worker questioned why I frequented the local El Roach Coach so often. Since eating here, I have not returned to my other Taco joints! The 5 mini Carne Asada Tacos are the BEST I’ve ever had. The Carne Asada Burrito is filling and tasty. and the salsa bar — in particular the light green sauce is worth bottling. The prices are great, the food is consistently outstanding, and you can buy your drinks from 7 – 11. Go now, go often.

This little dive taco shop is a gem. It looks like a pit stop for truck drivers and construction workers. I was reluctant at first but I had to give it a shot. To my surprise, it’s one of the best place to have a carne asada burrito. Definitely top 3 I’ve ever had. I’ve also tried their caldo de res. Simply amazing. Their green avocado salsa takes it over the top. I have to go here once a week to get a fix.

The torta cubana is good and the chile rellenos are yummy but dont go too early or the food doesnt seem to be as good. Go around 9 am to 1pm there a bit busy but thats seems tobe when the cook is at his best the menudo and caldo de res are also good. Update 4÷5÷2015 this place has turned into a dump the tables are filthy the floor is dirty and everything inside is old and needs to be replaced. I wouldn’t trust this place they need to burn the place down and start over.

Some people think this place isn’t as great as most other taco shops I happen to disagree they’re the best thing next to the otay border… my family and I go to tijuana often and since there is hardly any places in mexico that serve rolled fish tacos we go here they’re alllllways hot and tasty they. Have a full salsa bar … you can get as much a u please… and the burritos and chimicangas are great make u wana slap someone. They reason I only. Give 4 stars is bc they don’t reallly like speaking. English I’m black(I. Happen to speak spanish). That’s all they need to work on! Have a nice day and p. s. they have great specials

Okay, here I go… I stumbled upon this place by recommendation from a coworker. The taco shop we were going to kept closing at all hours(never following his«open» hours) and she suggested Super Bronco. She told me how to get there and I couldn’t believe it. It was inside a 7-Eleven. I had been inside there dozens of times and NEVER noticed there was a restaurant inside this place I’ve eaten here dozens(and I do mean DOZENS) of times in the last months and I have only had 1 meal which I described as unpleasant. perhaps that is the reason I gave it 4 starts). There are 2 cooks; 1 good and 1 great. I have yet to focus on which one is cooking my food as I am always in a rush. The meal I wasn’t happy about was something not on their menu(well, not how I ordered it… a Milanesa Burrito). I won’t go into details as to why I didn’t like it, but will say this, it’s not on their menu and for a reason. The Milanesa Torta is very good, by the way. Well, back on track. I have focused on burritos at this place and will say this… THEY’REFREAKIN’ AWESOME. PERIOD! Want something that will drive your taste-buds crazy? Try the Campechano… Carne al pastor(kind of like a BBQ Pork; it’s the meat that is cooked on a skewer, like Shawarma), Carne Asada, guacamole, onions and cilantro. MMmmmmm. My god ! Put their green salsa in it and WOW. Most of their burritos have been great… I’ve had their fish burrito, carne asada burrito, chicken burrito, machaca burrito(oh my god, add guacamole to this one and WOW). They will make pretty much anything you want given the vast ingredients they carry, Their prices by the way are extremely affordable, I think they are the least expensive place I’ve eaten at(taco shop). They have been in business for over 20 years(from what one of the employee’s told me) and the seasoning shows it. If you’re ever in the Otay area(I can’t say anything about their other locations, as I’ve never been to them) do your taste-buds a favor and stop to get a bite to eat. You WON’T regret it !

Wow, reading the other reviews you would think that this place is terrible. Well let me tell you that this is not the case. I work in the Otay Mesa area and when it comes lunch time Super Bronco is one of my Favorite Places. They have amazing variety for a taco shop and have new specials everyday that keeps the taste buds excited. They also have a fairly large section of healthy meals for those of us that need to mix up the diet every once in a while in order to keep the belly from growing too much. When it comes to the quality of the food I would say that everything that I have had was excellent except for one of the daily specials which was some kind of crab cake. Take in mind that I have been to Super Bronco’s over twenty times and have a propensity to pick things that I have no idea what they are, so their track record is pretty darn good. Just today I had a chile relleno burrito that was amazing. If you are in Otay and you want good Mexican food this is the place to go. Side note, the picture that Mike C posted makes me want to get a shrimp burrito immediately.
