My kids went in this store and recieved TERRIBLE service! It was disappointing to hear that a candy store was rude to its most popular consumer; CHILDREN! I highly suggest going to a different candy store.

For a Sweet factory, the sour puss old lady that either owns and runs this place needs schooling in customer service. There are printed signs posted everywhere in the store warning you of «NOSAMPLES!!» My kids could not reach for anything thing in this place without(incomprehensibe) words from across the store(there is obviously a cultural/language barrier). After 5 minutes of browsing and an attempted purchase, I was(incomprehensibly) spoken to and even got a return demonstration on how my son dropped a roll of sweet tarts. For crying out loud. its a candy store, not an antique store with Tiffany Lamps. Kids are going to touch things. I politely took back my $ 4 from the counter and made my way out. She was minus $ 3.57 but even more sad is how this lady had NOINSIGHT on how her service affected the excitement of innocent kids in a candy store.

While they have some good items(like a variety of Pop Rocks flavors, Jelly Bellys galore), this Sweet Factory is pretty bad. All ‘bag your own candy’ vendor are always overpriced so I won’t complain about that. This is a customer service issue. The woman who works there is so helpless it really hurts the business. I saw several people walk in and right back out after she was unable to assist them. For the sack of their business, they really should hire some new people!

The old lady who works her followed me and my son around saying«no sample». I had a bag filling it with jelly beans and she kept saying it over and over so I threw the bag and watched the jelly beans fly and told her to «sample that». Then I walked my son out of that place.

Worst Sweet Factory I have been too. First I walk in and ask the lady behind the counter about sour watermelons and she just stares at me not saying a word, so I asked her again and she tried to say something but i couldnt understand becuase of her lack of speaking english. Then I just decide to look for it myself I walk over to the wall and see them as she is standing right behind me watching what I am doing. I get the candy then I walk to the register to pay, $ 4.78 for like 12 pieces of tiny watermelon slices, to make things worse they were rock hard. Lets just say I will not return to this Sweet Factory.

O.K., where do I start? First off, let me say that both I and my kids love candy so we were excited to check this place out in Horton Plaza. They do have a decent supply of mostly hard candies but that’s about all I can say that is nice. The prices are not only insane(I mean… are they selling some revolutionary product here that you can find anywhere else?). What’s much worse is that the price is only posted on little, tiny cards by the candy and in even smaller print, it indicates that the cost is per ¼ lb., not per lb. Finally, after paying nearly $ 20 for a small bag of semi-precious candy, the highly-trained staff member at the register copped a major attitude when I asked about parking validation for the mall. «There are machines in the mall that do that». Not«sorry Sir, but we don’t validate but there is a machine that is located…». For the deceptive business practices and the major lack of customer service, buy your kid’s candy elsewhere.

The lady working stalked my 2yr old bc she was holding a stuffed animal she wanted. The lady acted like my 2yr old was going to steal it. Are u kidding me? I’m Never going back!

Typical sweet factory. I needed a specific type of jelly bean and they went and found them for me!(they were hard and stale and i should have gotten a discount, but i really needed them, so i didn’t haggle) It is a smaller version than normal, but i assume that is due to the cost of rent in hutton place! Of course i’d stop in again if i was in the area!

one coconut white chocolate haystack(for the bf) banana split chews a few french vanilla Jelly Bellys strawberry salt water taffy strawberry puff gummi cherry rings gummi filled strawberries Total: $ 4.80 I like chocolate(white chocolate & milk chocolate only) but I LOVE candy. It reminds me of being a little girly girl; wearing a dress, a RINGPOP on my finger, candy necklace & bracelet(half eaten, all sticky) & a Barnum Animal Crackers box-on-a-string on my wrist. Even at 4 years old, i was PROPERLY accessorized. I can’t believe my mom let me ingest all that sugar – must be why i have never experienced a sugar high. My tolerance is through the roof. P. S. The Asian couple that runs the store is super friendly – go buy some sweets from them.
