The owner Robert is truly an artisan. His coffee is exquisite. Very high quality coffee beans combined with exceptional brewing techniques. There are some good coffee shops in OB but I daresay this may be the best. Some nice Paleo snacks on hand also but this place is about quality coffee.

Oh man! This is the best chai tea latte I’ve ever had! It was sweet and relaxing. Not heavy. And had a little heart on it. Clearly made with love. It’s a florist and a coffee shop so it’s cute and lovely and they have board games and stuff you can play while you enjoy the drink. Lovely!

Maybe we came in on one the baristas bad days, but the service was not friendly (as I’ve read in other reviews) he actually seemed rather annoyed that we walked in. The place seems like a community staple so maybe being the newbie in town I just don’t get the vibe in the shop, but The last thing I want is to be treated like an inconvenience when I’m paying you for something you’re offering/​selling ! If you’re not big on customer service, hire someone who is. The coffee is legitimately good, far better than Starbucks, but at least there they make you feel like they appreciate your business ! Edited to add that I had the iced mocha and my roommate had a cappuccino

From the first sip I could immediately tell that the quality of coffee is beyond anything I’ve tasted around here! I got a latte and it was truly delicious — dare I say orgasmic. So happy I decided to try this place, I’m within walking distance and definitely plan to return.

I went here this morning for a quick latte on my way to the beach. Back home we have an amazing coffee scene so it’s hard to beat but this spot holds up to any coffee I can get back home. I ordered a iced latte and the espresso is perfect and the milk used was high quality. Thanks for helping me get my morning coffee buzz off to the right start.

Been here quite a few times now and everytime the cappuccino does not disappoint! I am a coffee lover and the owner makes a damn great cappuccino. So creamy smooth just enough espresso bitter a little latte art and cheerful service!
Also had iced coffee here and its delicious. The owner knows his coffee and I love the new art on the wall explaining the «coffee method»

Smooth, high quality coffee. I only drink americanos because I luv the flavor of coffee. I’ve had a really hard time since I moved to San Diego finding good coffee. This is the place! A must try!

Great latte. Just be aware they only give 2 espresso shots whether you choose a 16oz or a 20oz beverage. that said, unless you want a complete milk bomb in your 20oz bevvie, stick with the 16oz size so you can taste the coffee. Crazy cool barrel stave chairs out front to sit in and watch the world go by. Dig it.

Their Mocha Blended drink is amazing. Such a chill little café. Flowers when your first walk in and to the right is the coffee area, table and books.

The owner is awesome and extremely knowledgeable about the various aspects of coffee and the process of making a delicious cup of joe. Talked with him about life/​coffee/​food and had an awesome experience… and a delicious cup of coffee that was made to order. Can’t wait to go back!

Friendly — but not overly — and competent service.
After 2 months of looking since moving to the area I’ve finally found my coffee spot.

This coffee is really high grade and delicious. I’m not a HUGE Coffee person. Most of my exposure to coffee (like most American’s I would imagine) is limited to mocha’s at Starbucks and from working with an espresso machine when I was young at kiosks and restaurants. I get what a Latte and Capuccino are but as far as «Methods» and or what beans from what regions smell and taste like– uh yeh forget it.
It’s nice to have a coffee shop that is more minimalist and offers these types of things; different methods, and descriptions of their beans (yes I call them beans– whatever.)
The owner is like this cool cat, introvert, nerdy guy definitely has more of a «east coast» vibe. But I like that about this place! Its quiet and when I go in its always dead. I love it. Coffee shops are way to over stimulating. You can go in here and relax without a bunch of annoying people.
The guy that works there I can see being a TAD unapproachable but i’m sure like anyone in customer service he is sick of talking to morons. Yes folks there are a LOT of them out there. If your a real coffee drinker, and or want to try better coffee check this place out!

We stopped in here in a recent visit to Ocean Beach. They share a space with a msall gift shop, or maybe owned by the gift shop.
Their iced latte was cool and refreshing, much needed for a 85 degree plus OB day.
Great service and a great pour!

If you need a cup of coffee and some fresh cut flowers, this place is for you. This place is all about fine organic coffee. I stopped in had a two shot Americano with room, and I saw some Bread and Cie Biscottis and I just had to have one. (

The American was very good. It was light but full of flavor and very aromatic. No doubt, the biscotti was perfect for dunking into the Americano. (
) The biscotti had slivered almonds and chocolate chips in it, which were very good The biscotti was very crunchy, the way it should be. (

You can get a variety of coffees here, including Pour overs, espresso, French Press, and Chemex. The owner is quite knowledgeable about his practice and methods to get the best flavor out of a coffee bean.
A smooth Americano indeed.
