I was VERY happy with my purchase here. I believe the guy that I worked with was Mark, but I’m not positive of his name(he’s got long hair) — sorry if I got it wrong. We came in knowing what we wanted because we had looked all over for it online. We found the item we wanted on a «deal» site and looked everywhere for a better price, and then finally found it at The Elephant’s trunk for SIGNIFICANTLY less than the rest of the sites and stores we found. We are very happy with our purchase and very happy with service received.

Great Furniture… unique and different style. Staff is pretty darn non-responsive ! Been here twice bought several items, they have a take it or leave it approach. I get you won’t deal on prices– however when I buy it on the floor and it’s clearly damaged… you basically tell me it’s my problem? Shop with caution! Expect little service! Great stuff though… if they had service to match it it be amazing!!!

this store is awesome! if you want a piece of furniture that stands out, a conversation piece, then come here. the customer service was exceptional, so i don’t understand the negative reviews. i was asked several times if i needed help, and the guy was happy to answer all of my questions and discuss where the pieces are made and what they are made of. i wish i had more space in my house because i saw so many things i wanted!

I have walked in Elephant’s Trunk twice and both times I was not greeted once entering the store. Both of the employees that I could see were not assisting other customers(I was the only one in the store). They were behind the customer service counter doing what seemed like paper work. I made eye contact with one of the employees several times and never a friendly smile or was offered any assistance. I was ready to purchase a couple pieces of furniture I viewed online. But by the way they seemed to not care about customer service I was out of there and purchased my second choices from another store. Obviously they didn’t care to have my business. Their loss.

The people who work in this store are horrific, Roger especially. I bought a $ 2,600 table, and placed a decorative ceramic bowl on it. I followed all the care instructions, including keeping it out of sunlight. Well, lo and behold, a big round mark where the bowl was, only after having the table for three weeks. When I asked them to repair it, I was told by Roger only an idiot would place a ceramic bowl on a rustic table without a coaster under it. Really? I have a doctorate degree, have owned many tables, and have never had this happen to any of them. I wanted to speak with a manager, and was told by Roger he is the only person to contact, to send him an email, and he would see if he wants to forward it to the owners. Buy here at your own risk, they don’t give a darn about anybody.

What a gem. I walked in and was blown away by the selection of gorgeous, unique furniture. I would outfit my whole house with their stuff if I could afford it! The manager, Roger, was super helpful, and we picked out an end table that we’ll keep forever. We were able to fit it in our car, so I can’t speak to the delivery service, but as far as I experienced it, Elephant’s Trunk gets five stars.

They have really cool stuff, the prices are reasonable but I would really think twice about buying there based solely on the fact that the employees and owner were so unfriendly and so unwelcoming. I spent a good 20 – 25 minutes in the store and was never greeted or asked if I needed help. I went up to the desk and asked if I could move a piece of furniture down and one guy managed to mutter«sure». Wouldn’t you at that point help your customer or ask if they needed assistance? They were so busy eating at the counter and chatting that they couldn’t be bothered. Not very impressive…

Very cool stuff and the people working there don’t bug you! I was able to wander around and put different chairs with different tables and I wasn’t constantly bothered but when I needed and asked for help that’s exactly what I got.

On my recent trip to the Elephant’s Trunk, I decided that it’s as fun as going to a museum(and I love museums, mind you). I absolutely adore looking at all of the lovely furniture they carry — which you won’t find anywhere else. Two years ago, I bought two nightstands, a large dresser, and a microwave stand. Two years later, they look as good as new, and I was back for more; another dresser and a counter-height dining table with 4 chairs. I plan to replace other pieces in the house with furniture from them, as needed. The solid wood pieces may have a heftier price tag than furniture you’ll find elsewhere, but the superior quality is worth every penny. The delivery fee is $ 75 for the first item, and $ 10 for each additional item. If you’re getting a big piece of furniture(solid wood = heavy), it’s worth paying for delivery.

Don’t buy here. The owner is a nasty person. Rude and unfriendly only out for profit.

i recently purchased some furniture from the Elephant’s Trunk and would give these guys 5 stars if only they had been willing to negotiate the exorbitant delivery fee with me. they wouldn’t budge, not one little bit, which caused me to pick up the furniture myself, but aside from that, the shopping experience was fabulous. the furniture itself is beautiful in a way that only solid wood, hand crafted, heavy furniture can be. the wood is from indonesia and comes with a sustainable forested tag, meaning that they harvest already fallen trees or trees from plantations, only. we purchased a large dresser, two night stands, a plant stand, and a dining room table and chairs, all for under $ 3,000. not IKEA prices, for sure, but not IKEA quality, either. the wood in each piece has been lovingly polished to exhibit it’s natural striated beauty and i feel like finally, i have acquired some furnishings that will be with me for the rest of my life. you can check out the store’s website for sales and available inventory, as well. something that is both convenient and rare in a furniture store. i’ll be heading back their way in a bit to look for a book case and wall mirror… one of which i’ve already found to be marked down on the website!

The only thing I hate more than shopping is shopping for furniture. Walking into the furniture section of a major Dept store(no names, but Macy’s was one of them) you’re decended upon by a «consultant» like the vultures that work in the cosmetics section at Nordstrom’s. All so I can decide between two couches that are identically ugly in my eyes, like caskets covered in unnaturally colored fabric. But the Elephant’s Trunk is my kind of furniture place(if such a place exists). It’s got beautiful solid wood pieces from Asia arranged sort of warehouse style in a big room that you wander in until you find something you like. The guy working there was just hanging out at his desk working until I had a question, and then he was really helpful. Low key, too. Excellent prices and the main ingredient — the pieces are unique. I may not like shopping but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a good sense of style…
