I’m not one to write a bad review but I felt this needed to be heard. I bought a Groupon for a haircut, style, blow dry, and single process color. My hair stylist’s name was Eden Starr. My fiancé came with me to this appointment but after entering I soon regretted having him stay. The«waiting area» was in a very uncomfortable spot for anyone to sit. Workers walk through this tight area and the seats are extremely uncomfortable and if anyone sits next to you, they’re on top of you. The whole vibe of the place was very unwelcoming. When I got started with my stylist, we sat down for a shampoo and condition. We started talking about what I wanted done with my hair. I told her about the style of cut I wanted and the color that would work best for my hair. She said, wait I didn’t know you were getting color. She said I wish you would’ve told me that. She didn’t even bother to look at the Groupon i had purchased so she would know what I was having done. She seemed irritated at this. We then sat down and she started cutting. The cut took longer than usual. Then as we talk about the color she explains that the one process color is actually a touch up, not an all over color. I was not aware of this. She said she should’ve explained when I set up the appointment. The color job also took a very long time and this was just a touch up. I asked how long it will take under the dryer for the color to process. She said about a half hour. It had already been an hour and a half at this point. I felt horrible for my fiancé who had been waiting patiently. We then walked over to the dryer and said, as you are drying I have to take another client and then I’ll come in to get you in a half hour. I thought taking another client on my time was unprofessional but that’s just me. The half hour goes by and the dryer goes off. I lift the dryer off my head and wait patiently for 10 minutes more for her to come check on me. I was debating on coming out to grab her but I did not want to be rude. She finally comes back and says she’s still working on the other client and that it’ll be another 10 to 15 minutes. I say well the half hour is up. And she snaps back very irritated with me, well that’s just how long it takes and storms out. I was stuck in a tight spot. I still have color on my head and all I wanted to do was run out of there. Five minutes later she comes back and we head to the sink. As she’s washing out the dye she asks, were you mad that it takes that long to process? I said no. Confused she had the gall to ask me. I wanted to say you are very unprofessional and you should really learn how to speak to your clients. Biting my tongue so we could get out of there, we head back to the chair to blow dry. At that point she acted as if nothing had happened. I did not speak the rest of the session. She invited me back as I nodded my head to avoid conflict. I gave her the measly tip I should not have left her(I was always taught to tip your stylist under any circumstances) and high tailed it out of there. I will never come back to this salon and I would never work with this stylist again. Save your money and go to a professional.

The place to go for a cheap Brazilian wax — «cheap» in every sense of the word. I bought a Groupon for Hair Galleria for the service, was told I was over-charged for it(which was strange because I thought $ 25 for a Brazilian was already a great deal), and given a business card with«Free Brazilian wax $ 15.00 value» written on the back to compensate the difference — basically, she told me she does Brazilian waxes for $ 15(not $ 25 like I paid) and asked me to pay another $ 5 at that time toward my next appointment with her. I came back a few months later and to to use it, only to have her tell me that the coupon was just applicable for touch ups within 10 days — not full Brazilian waxes. So looking back I paid $ 25 for my first wax + $ 5 to be applicable toward my second, which she made me pay $ 15 for despite my voucher. It’s hard to complain about a $ 30 first wax /$ 15 second wax but now I’m just sketched out and feel like I was scammed into coming back, because based on the quality of service alone, there was no way I was going to. The first time I got waxed here, she missed entire PATCHES. The wax wasn’t the right temp so it felt like she was pulling at the hairs as she applied it – super uncomfortable. Her methodology was basically just to spread globs of wax around and rip it off with a linen paper(she used the same ONE paper for the entire session), which explains how/why I got the results I did. TLDR: «$ 15» Brazilian waxes are too good to be true and this place is really sketchy with how they do business.

I found this place via Groupon and I’m happy I did. This is a long overdue review, so please forgive me. I called to make an appointment and to make sure the offer still existed(fortunately, it was). I was set to meet with Kristin, such a lovely lady! I told her I wanted to keep my hair long, as always, but to have more layers so that it will be lighter on my head. Kristin paid close attention to my request and the outcome was incredible! I loved what she did to my hair and even offered me to come back if I needed my cut to be fixed. No fix was needed because I was a happy customer and I would go back to make another appointment with her. The other ladies were also sweet and had a great time chatting with them. Thank you, Kristin!

I found a deal on Groupon for a $ 75 service including a shampoo, deep conditioning, haircut, blow dry and style for $ 25.00. Can’t go wrong with that, right? WRONG! The stylist shampooed my hair and RUSHED thru my hair cut so fast. She never did the deep condition, blow dry or style at all. She was friendly, but I guess once she knew I got the deal through Groupon, maybe she decided my hair wasn’t worth the time and effort? I left with a horrible cut. Luckily, hair grows back. But I wouldn’t recommend this place ATALL. Save yourself the time and money.

This is a great little spot to get your hair cut, very nice looking interior, comfortable, quiet. Ask for Natalie if she’s available, she cut my hair and it looks great, it’s very professional looking while still contemporary, people were asking me if I was famous at Comic Con. 5 Stars! –Andy

Went here in a groupon and had Eden as my stylist. I had straight boring hair and wanted a fresh look. Eden listened to what I wanted and I got my hair layered and cut shoulder length. She made it match my face shape really well and I have been receiving many compliments since!

I really enjoyed going here with my boyfriend. We both received our haircuts from Eden Starr and found her quite nice and knowledgeable. Although you may not think it, my boyfriends hair can be quite hard to cut/shape. He said that this was his best haircut ever!

Have been going to the Hair Galleria, for the past 20 years And have never been disappointed in a service received yet. Cindy provides the best haircuts in san diego and the other stylist are not bad to look at.;-)

I’m very shy and unsure about how to work with a new hairstylist. The hairstylist wasn’t new she actually had over 20 years experience. She was new to this shop though. I was able to just walk right in and she helped me right away. I had destroyed my long hair by dying it from a box I bought at rite-aid. I had long hair and she was able to cut the fried stuff off give me some bangs and I actually walked out of there with a better looking hairstyle than I had before the destruction I did dying my hair. Her rates were reasonalbe and will defiantely be going back. Her name is Shelley Carlson and her cell is 619−807−7718. I’m so glad to have a new hairperson in the neighborhood.

I get my hair cut here and I have never had a bad cut. I also got highlights one time, but it’s not really my thing. The color looked good and people liked it, but Im too lazy for the upkeep! I also got my hair done for my wedding there and it was perfect. I see Natalie and she is always fun to talk with and makes my hair gorgeous!

The worst stylist in San Diego. I USED to go see Natalie to have my hair highlighted blonde. Everytime I went back to have my roots touched up I would walk out of there blonder and blonder. The Playboy bunny look was not what I was going for. She weaved the wrong colors in my hair and let it over process. Anyways… she messed up my hair, I had to come back 3 times for a color correction and she STILL did NOT get it right. My hair is chemically fried. I had to wear a hat for 4 days and cried my eyes out until I went somewhere else to have my hair CORRECTLY colored. If you do go here, AVOIDNATALIE at all costs. She needs to go back to beauty school.
