@CEOofECO shared this coffee stand with me, and wow, what a mission! The Jitter Bean is a small business created and run by a team of six inspiring adults working though intellectual disabilities. They are supported by the statewide, San Diego based, nonprofit Employment and Community Options . They work with disabled adults to help them become independent. As a coffee snob I’m fairly particular about my cappuccinos, and these guys give great attention to detail. In addition to a full menu of espresso drinks, they also have grab-and-go deli sandwiches and salads. They’re located inside an open garden area of a business complex, but it’s completely open to the public and parking is free. Even if it’s a bit out of your way, make it a point to stop in and support this awesome endeavor, you’ll be glad you did :-)

This is one of those coffee carts that greets you with a smile and knows your name! They have a great coffee selection of hot, iced and blended(Hawaiian Hazelnut is my favorite!), delicious fresh pastries, fruit cups, sandwiches, salads and more! Incredibly affordable when compared to large coffee chains. And the icing on the cake is that it’s run by adults with disabilities so you’re business helps guarantee them and job and provides great social skills! I highly recommend visiting the Jitter Bean!
