I love coffee bean, service and their teas. This location is not a favorite, for a small shop it has lots of employees working in a small space. If your looking for a place that’s quiet, this is not the place. Not professional as you hear the girls stories behind the counter and so much chatter like birds chirping in the trees. I heard a customer ordering 3 different items and they were all out. Why? Does management set up some kind of inventory to ensure this is prevented? Nice place to study if your outside. A great place if your ordering and leaving. I often do not rate low, I had to wipe down my table as it was full of crumbs. If You do mind chatter and can focus on noise, this can be a place for you.

Very bland coffee. Not sure how their sugar blended drinks are because I stick to coffee. Giving it two stars simply because the barista was very friendly.

We love the Mexican hot chocolate or blended Mexican chocolate. We meet here with our teams for work before hitting the pavement.

Always a joy to visit my favorite coffee place. Pleasant service, always with a smile. And the perfect expresso to start my day. Thanks, coffee bean.

I love this Coffee Bean location! It looks like a barn yard! I’ve passed by this location plenty of times but I never came in. Today I had time after church to make a visit. I was greeted by the friendliest barista!(Forgot to get her name) It’s a nice and quiet location. Perfect for relaxing, not really a studying place. I love the atmosphere is low-key and not hectic like most Starbucks places. You can take your time here. I ordered a large iced white mocha and a strawberry lemonade danish. Both were good. Parking is super easy and they also have a drive-thru. They have outdoor seating and I was able to enjoy my coffee and snack in fresh air. I’ll definitely be making this my weekend coffee place :)

Love stopping by this coffee shop on my way to work. The staff is always friendly and they provide excellent customer service. Special shout out to Roger for getting me with my tea dilemma this morning. You’re awesome and both teas were a hit!

I’ve been a patron of the Claremont Mesa store for 10 years. A consistent beverage, expanded food line, great patio & warm, courteous staff. Special kudos to Roger, Jacki, Faith, but also to the other steady hands running this place, making every visit a satisfying one.

Negatives Long wait in the drive thru. Less than chipper attitude at the window. Scones priced too high in ratio to small product. Positives Lotsa blueberries :)

I get more and more disappointed by this place the more I go. The brewed coffee is never ready or they let themselves run out even though they are not busy. The baristas are super slow so never get the intricate drinks unless you have time to waste. Too bad they actually have a decent product that people will gladly not come back for due to the slow/bad service.

Coffee Bean is my go to coffee shop on my way in to work(and my husband and I will even commute from East County on the weekends just to come here to get coffee). They are quick, friendly, welcoming and my coffee is always on point. Only 1 time did my drink not come out right and without hesitation, they fixed it. Roger, who I believe is their manager, apologized and made my drink for me. It was perfect(like it usually is). We all make mistakes so it wasn’t a big deal but it was awesome that they corrected it and made it right. I’m always welcomed with a «good morning» and smiles from all of the staff. I love this Coffee Bean! Thanks Coffee Bean baristas for being so awesome :)

They have a drive thru! The coffee is strong and the place is clean, what more could you want from a coffee shop. The staff is also friendly.

I love Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. This is a free standing location and they have a drive-thru for added convenience. Their coffee is very good, not too acidic, and does not taste burnt compared to other places. They have large selection of drinks, pastries, and items you won’t find other places like the Iced Tea Latte. They also sell their powders so you can make drinks at home. The employees are always very friendly and I have never had a problem when I come here. This is one of my favorite coffee/tea places.

I absolutely adore The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. The coffees and teas are exceptional in flavor and I have never found them to taste bitter. They always have something new when I am in town but I love their iced tea lattes and my new favorite is the dark chocolate latte. This location even added some cherry juice upon request for an additional amazing flavor. The service is great the lady at the window was very helpful and nice. This is a free standing location and it has a drive thru if you don’t feel like getting out of the car. Definitely try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Thought we would try the iced hazelnut and iced caramel coffees here. They were okay. The staff was great– and super fast. I think my taste buds are just geared more towards caramel macchiatos. But I would be open to trying this place again

You cannot go wrong with their Pomegranate Blueberry Tea Latte! I like it on the sweeter side so I ask for an extra scope of Vanilla Powder for extra! I like this location because it is the only one I know of in San Diego that has a drive through. Unfortunately, I waited in line for about 15 minutes last time I came & there were only 2 cars in front of me! Granted, it was 7a & rush time but still, I found that to be way too long for a drive through! Customer service is always great, there is free wi-fi inside, & patio seating. There is a discount for military & emergency service personnel(depending on the cashier, they will give this discount to nurses).

I love Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s coffee but their order accuracy at this specific location is awful. I would venture that at least one out of every three trips my order gets messed up. Today I was presented with a small instead of a large. Last week I was handed an iced decaf coffee instead of my large caramel latte. Two weeks ago in the drive through after they took my money then I was left waiting for 13 minutes after. No one would come back to the window to give me a refund when all I wanted to do was leave. I was late to work that day for the first time EVER. So what I’m saying is their coffee is great but double check your order and avoid the drive through at THIS Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf unless time is on your side. I haven’t experienced this at any other Coffee Bean.

Very good service yesterday. That is why I am giving it a high rating. I have some health issues which severely restrict what I can eat or drink. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any drink on the menu that I could have. The staff tried really hard to help. I ended up staying with a friend who got something to drink. The manager sent me home with a vanilla rooibos tea to try. I love it!!! Now I can go back to the coffee shop and actually buy something to drink and enjoy myself. I don’t give the place 5 stars because the donut I bought to eat was nasty. I spit it out. :(Also, not enough tables. I mean, I know this place has a lot of drive through service, so not a lot of tables were needed, but the tables they did have were few in number and very small. My friend and I barely had room to play cards. I don’t suppose the size of the place or the number or size of tables is the manager’s fault, so no blame goes to the management. Overall, a good experience. I will be back. I just won’t order the donut.

I’ve started to gravitate from Starbucks to Coffee bean in the last few years. Mostly because the Ice Blended drinks from Coffee Bean do not separate. This is due to the fact that they use powder instead of syrup. Another reason ive been liking them more is because the deals from Starbucks have been few and the prices continue to rise. So all things being equal… i’d choose coffee bean. Their Vanilla Ice blended drink is hands down my favorite drink here. I’ve tried their new Thai Ice blended but it did not taste as good. It actually tasted better once it had melted. I’ve yet to really branch out and try their full menu but I hope to do so soon! The cashiers are very friendly at this location and they have a drive thru which is nice.

This place is pretty small. Its a good location on a main street & near a freeway. Its kind of a burden the way the drive through is built in the parking lot. It blocks off the entrance to get into the rest of the stores of this complex. The coffee bean staff is very friendly. I dont remember any of their names but they make good suggestions.

First few times trying Coffee Bean. I always go to starbucks because when I like something, I’m always stuck on it. But I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the iced mocha(half powder — less sweetened) and it was pretty good. I liked how the ice is crushed into small circles. The coffee was not too sweet but not too biter which is how I like it. Still not the best coffee ever, but it was better than I expected. Service was good. The employees were really friendly and made my drink very quickly. I would probably go again and try other drinks on the menu!
