TSS is not a police department. Their officers are NOT police officers, they are security guards. They also are owned by Universal Protection Service. If I were you, I wouldn’t work for them. I never worked for TSS but I worked for Universal before they bought TSS, It was a pretty bad experience.

San Diego, CA
Private security company, that is employed by Universal Services of America (current) and Heritage Security (past), that work for and secure the Metro Transit System. Security company that have this contract is worth more than one million dollars. Security Guards are improperly trained and underpaid yet are asked to act like a police officer. Other cities have police to run their security for trolleys.
TSS officers had tried to Unionize with «Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America» but the negotiations had failed when the contract ended, then was sold to Universal.
