I work for these idiots who can’t seem to get my paychecks correct each week they cut me short. When I do complained or go to their supervisor? They remove me from my post. I am the reliable one who comes to work early, but never get relieved on time. The guards even leave the post or I am left alone working a two man post often. They ROBBED the clients and they don’t seem to care. Now I am seeking work elsewhere.

Universal protection services is absolutely horrible.
I live at la jolla crossroads and have to deal with an upstairs neighbor who stomps across the world and into my room from morning til night when I am there. Sometimes 20 – 30 minutes at a time.
I have no idea what he/​she is doing up there and have tried to send a knock his way to signal a «please god stop this man» from disrupting my sleep at 7 – 8 in the morning or an attempt to rest and fall asleep at 12 – 2 at night. Finals is the worst and I can’t study with the heavy noise and vibration distracting.
Anyway that’s the problem I had and I wanted security to witness the continuous stomping for 20 – 30 minutes before crossroads workers send a message to the resident. Well as I’m writing this it has been 30 minutes. The person has stopped stomping after 20 minutes and at the moment is stomping sporadically every now and then throughout the room.
So universal protection services, please shut down your services your company is absolutely useless if you can’t simply respond to a problem. 30minutes?! I gaurantee its going to pass the 40 minutes soon and 50 etc. I feel like if I was a robber I can rob the whole apartment complex and escape before you even get here
Update: so it’s been 2 hours and I didn’t post this review yet and guess what else? Universal protection services still not here. Such great service will call again!

This company is the worst! My point of view is that of a tenant and the thing that I constantly deal with is their faulty alarm service and terrible response time/​customer service.
The alarm system for our condo complex constantly goes off and it can go off for a WHOLE WEEKEND before they fix it. I am not exaggerating when I say that this has happened 10 times within the past year.
If this alarm system is supposed to protect us, God help us because it literally goes off for days without them noticing it.
Imagine not being able to open your windows on those 90 degree Santa Ana days because of the loud beeping.
That’s my point of view and this has been going on for over a year now. I hope that we get rid of them and I highly advise against using them for anything.

My first day in crossroad, Danial (Soorry I can’t remember the exact name) helps me a lot. He has a lot of patience to help me find room and parking lot. Appreciate it!

If you want a toothless meth head as a security officer, you should call this company. Truly abysmal service. Their guards are completely worthless and do nothing more than open a gate for you. It is shocking that my country club hired these idiots. I should sue the association for lack of due diligence in hiring theses morons.
This is the same company that has now moved to the Palm Desert/​Rancho Mirage area.

My door was wide open when I came home from work one day so I called to have security walk through with me because I live alone. The guy literally said to me «they didn’t steal anything so that means they’re looking for you so they’ll be back. Put a sofa in front of your door you’ll be fine.» WTF!!!

Today one of the so called SECURITY people showed poor judgement and definately no form of professional behavioral whatsoever. Not only did he use sexual /​disrespectful /​disciminative remarks, but also challenged my husband to fight with him. Throwing down his bicycle and removing his vest all on video …
Reported the individual and was told I will be contacted in day or two …
Seriously doubt a person like that would be in position which unsuitable for mentally and shame on UNIVERSAL PROTECTION if they dont terminate him then atleast re train his ass !!

This is the worst security ever. Formerly Summit Security, I believe.
Costa Verde Village apartments uses their «services» (which are a joke) to secure the premises. Yeah right. My car was broken into in my apartments underground garage.
The gates to this garage have been broken for at least 3 months.
There are no security cameras.
Gee thanks, guys. The shattered glass littering the garage should be a nice reminder to all the residents of how great your «security» is.

I am a resident of Casa Mira View Apartments San Diego.
Casa Mira View has contracted Universal Protection Services for maintenance and security.
I am really frustrated and will never recommend any one to use Universal protection services or stay in Casa Mira View.
Dishwasher: I had complained about my dishwasher almost 2 months before but the dishwasher is not yet fixed. I have opened multiple issues from their websites, called them, called the leasing office. No one gets back to you and all you get is bunch lies saying that it will be done tomorrow or next week etc.
Do not do business with these guys.

These people are horrible! Seriously horrible.
I received a «Parking Violation» on my car that my car had been abandoned for 48 – 72 hours. I work at this address and park in the same spot everyday, apparently they do not mark tires or have anyway to verify how long your car has been parked, they just like to pretend they are working.
On a side note, none of their phone numbers have professional voice mails or even a voice mail at all for that matter. I have called every single line I could find online, finally after calling (888) 294‑1200 a total of 6 times, someone decided to answer.
If you are a business and are considering hiring this service, I would reconsider, the pictures and reviews online about this business speak volumes about their character or lack there of.
Universal Protection if you are reading this, I hope you go out of business. Trying to scam people into being able to tow their car for a finders fee is a shameful way to do business. You should sell drugs to children instead; it is much more ethical than your current business plan.

These guys @ the Summit of Eastlake are a joke, they either sit down 3−4hours at a time or like the rest of the reviews harass homeowners. I will complain to the homeowners association hope they finish this contract and termination of this guys.

On the phone for over 10 minutes to report an «emergency» situation according to their «Issue Reporting» tool online… NO HOT WATER. They are Johnny On The Spot if they can tow a car for being in a 20 minutes parking spot for 21 minutes. They have Western Towing waiting to snag and drag to get the car of the property quickly.

I am resident of Eastlake Chula Vista Area. My wife has an ID of Eastlake in order to use the pool and facilities. We come to the pool with my daughter quite often and I have never seen a guard or been asked for an ID. Anyway, 4^th of July 2014 my family and I make our way to the pool. We have the key to get access to the pool and DLs at all times. We get there and Mr Martinez a guard says we can’t go in because we don’t have the 2014 sticker. All right then, let me show you my DL and other forms of ID that shows we still residents here. No Sir, that won’t work.
Conclusion: the sticker is the key.
Now my big concern is the following.
Mr Martinez said to me that he is a dog. No clue where that came from.
I told him that he needs to call his supervisor and please stop saying we are illegals. Yes, you heard it. Illegals.
So, I have this on video. Next twitter and facebook.
End: daughter crying, supervisor on the phone saying we can’t go in and nobody had the nerve of checking if I was telling the truth. They keep asking for the sticker.
By the way. If something happens no worries this company only works office hours.

Job related review: I agree with the previous post. This is a bad place. They will keep you waiting and wasting your time at every turn. Worst of all, they will screw up your paycheck and they will take their sweet ass time to fix their screw up. Management here are the lowest form of life. I have more respect for the bacteria that helps me poo. I don’t feel bad for saying that because they will think of you as that once you become of their employees. By the way, the first «orientation» day is UNPAID. Apply here if it the absolute last resort. Try Securitas, a lesser evil.

Think twice before you APPLY FOR OR HIRE this company. I have been looking for full time employment for a year now. I have been rejected so many times by different companies… but this company was the worst. I applied online late Saturday night/​early Sunday morning because I thought that the security position seemed legit. I filled in all the blanks and answered their assessment True/​False questionnaire and submitted the application. I received a voice mail on Monday (the next day) from this location about coming in for an interview. I called back on Tuesday and we set an appointment for Thursday at 10:00am. I arrived at 9:45 — 9:50 a.m. at the office and filled out the paperwork that they had given me… returned everything and resume to the receptionist by 10:05am. I sat back down and waited… and waited… and waited. I should have asked at the 30 min mark but I made excuses to myself about how much I needed this job and continued to wait. 5 till 11:00 I asked the receptionist if anyone was coming out to interview me. She replied with an annoyed tone «I don’t know.» I sat back down and the receptionist informed me that someone was coming out for my interview. I waited about 5 minutes more and when I realized that whoever was coming out was taking his sweet time… I asked the receptionist for my resume and let her know I was leaving. When I walked outside I ran into an employee and talked to him about the situation. This person said that they treat their employees like this all the time and that it was not a good company to work for.
I should have noticed a few of the warning signs before applied and then when I talked to whoever on the phone for the interview. Also when I walked into the lobby there were 5 people waiting for an interview. This is a staffing company… not a real place of employment.
I called the Corporate Offices and left a voice message with the head of HR. Today I received an email:
«Thank you for your recent inquiry concerning the possibility of joining Universal Protection Service. Your online application was successfully submitted on 11/​25/​2012 8:35:51 AM
We appreciate your interest in considering a career with our company. Although your experience and skills are impressive, we have identified other candidates who more closely meet our hiring needs at this time. As a result, we will not be pursuing the employment application process further with you. If our needs change in the future, we may contact you as your application information will remain in our database.»
I am not bitter that I was not chosen for the position because I am use to the rejection. My intentions are good… I just would not like to see others in the same boat waste their time.
