This Venissimos is a little hard to find, but walk into Bottlecraft and you will see it in the back of the store. Small selection but still gets the job done! I always love their bleu cheeses and will always grab a cheese sandwich with a nice fruit jam to pair with it and a fruit. This is a must and will always be a must even if I’m full to the max. Also, we are ever in a fight, get me Venissimo’s! I love this place and love what they’ve done with the partnership with the Bottlecraft store for pairings.

Large Bottlecraft cheese plate: $ 18 for cheese & $ 14 for paired tasters. It’s a little much, but it’s also a meal I would gladly indulge in again, and again, and again. The beer & cheese pairing is perfect for 2 people, and makes for a really great casual brunch date. They’re a little short on seating here since it is, firstly, a bottle shop, but the tables remain mostly vacant when the shop first opens up. Everyone working here is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. A definite must-try for beer and cheese lovers!

Very friendly and helpful people here. I needed some cheeses for two small parties I was going to so I decided to check this place out. They helped me pick a nice variety of cheese and let me sample each one. Some may say a little pricey, but the selected cheeses were big hits at the parties and I believe you get what you pay for. I will be back!

I’m in love with this place! My boyfriend and I were looking to grab some Cheese and cured meats to go with our sparkling Chenin Blanc I got from ClubW. They offer a 3 cheese 3 meats board for $ 25. I told the worker which wine we wanted to pair our food with and we let her take over the selections. We ordered it to go and they wrote down on the side of the plate what exactly was what. Everything was perfect!!! We got a goat, sheep and cow cheese. Check the photo for the names. Each was sharp but had its own unique flavor. It did not over power my sparkling wine and brought out different notes in my wine. Then for the meats a wine cured salami, speck and a spicy salami. The wine cured was my favorite! The plate came with a ton of dried fruits(cherries, apples, apricots and figs), gherkins, bread and chocolate covered almonds. I’ll definitely be back to try more cheese and wine. I’d say for the amount and quality of food they put on the plate, it’s definitely worth the price. Seriously, they know their stuff!

I’m a big fan of this shop. It isn’t cheap at all, but since you can specify how much cheese you want(most cheeses are priced by weight), you can at the very least get a little bit of cheese at any price point. The very best part of this place is the ability to have a taste before you buy. You always know what you are getting. I love to take my mother and father-in-law here when they visit. A great spot to really appreciate cheese in all its glory. It is only a 4 star because the store is very smallish(it is tucked in the back of Bottlecraft). I do love Bottlecraft, but there is no space to really spread out and relish your cheese choices. On a plus, you can easily grab your hard-to-get craft beers to pair with your cheese along with advice on which beers to choose.

I was going to the Venissimo in downtown but when they moves to Seaport Village I didn’t go anymore. So when I found out there was one in North Park I knew I had to check it out. OK so they don’t have their own store but at least it’s something. They’re actually sharing a space with Bottle Craft which is a cool little beer spot. You can try any of the cheeses which is nice and they also keep track of what you buy just in case you can’t remember what you got the last. My favorite is Moonlight something well see all they would have to do is look it up and tell me exactly what my favorite is. They have cheese plates, grilled cheese sandwiches and jams. You don’t have to buy a whole pound of cheese if you don’t want you can just buy a few ounces. The employees are friendly and not that stuck up which you would think they would be. Also you can eat your sandwiches at the little bar at Bottle Craft while enjoying a beer. I think this is a good combination of beer and cheese and I will be back soon.

I love the variety of cheeses they have here. Everything I tried was really good. I will definitely need to come back here again and get more. I really want to try the buffalo cheese next time I go in.

Last stop on our North Park food tour. I knew beer and cheese was a thing, but they take it to another level. They’re located in a beer store and insist that beer and cheese is better than wine and cheese. I’m a wine person so I’m a little skeptical about that. It’s pretty cool though. We tried three different cheeses: Humboldt Fog Grande(goat cheese), Zamorano(sheep cheese), and Mimolette Jeune(cow cheese). I didn’t like the goat cheese much, but the others were pretty good. If it wasn’t for the food tour, I probably wouldn’t even think twice to try a place like this. I’m glad I did. It makes me want to go on cheese adventures, learn more about different ones, and try some more!

This is a small cheese shop INSIDE Bottlecraft on University. So, the reason I have to review this place is because I recently had the most delicious bite of my life. Seriously. I think I almost cried tears of joy and the woman working that night had a look on her face like«Yeah, I know, right?» That bite was the goat cheese chocolate truffle. I happen to live walking distance from this place, but I swear I would travel 50 miles(maybe more, depending on gas prices) for this one truffle bite. The rest of my experience was also superb. Walked out with a brie and a bleu cheese, and an urge to come back. The woman working(wish I remembered her name) was as sweet as can be. She was patient, and offered us samples to make sure we walked out with the perfect cheese. I felt like she wasn’t trying to just sell us on anything, she really wanted to find something that tickled out palettes. Anyways, I feel like there are many places to find good cheese. However, Venissimo made it a whole experience. When I walked out I was like«Whoa…lets do that again next week!» They also offer party plates and it looked like you could pretty much customize them however you want – so definitely keeping that in mind for events.

I stopped in for a grilled cheese today… We could back this up to say, I stopped in here for the third time(after procuring delicious cheese by the pound once and a cheese cone of dried fruits and cheese pieces for $ 4) this time for the grilled cheese, The Nutty to be exact. It’s gruyère and onion confit, added some Jacobsen Salt mustard. I want to say it was just some grilled cheese, that it maybe didn’t change my life and change forever how I view any future grilled cheeses, but I would be wrong. Holy crap that thing turned my whole day around. They even give you a choice of fruit to go with it. Today it was pear, apple, or grapes. I went pear. Between Bazinga and this… there’s a lot of cheesy goodness in North Park right now. I’m sorry they killed Juke. But you guys, Juke left us first, they said they’d be back, but they just left…

Thank you very much you are the devil, THEDEVIL I SAY! How dare Juke abandon us! But my dreams were not too crushed because they opened the best place in the world in it’s place, my favorite cheese shop. The finest Cheeses and beer in walking distance oh great. Anyway Miho otherwise known as Juke is too stuck up to sell retail anymore they’re only doing weddings which really irritates me because I loved the juke and I have no desire to get married just to eat their food. They got me hooked and then abandoned me and I will never forgive you Juke! But I will be full of delicious cheese and beer so easy come easy go!
