Victoria’s Mexican Food

This is one of the better taco shops in the IB area. Their hot sauce is delicious. One of my favorite items is their carne asada chips. It’s worth giving it a try.

This place has changed for the worse! I used to live in IB and eat at this place for many years. Even after I moved to other parts of California, I still would make sure to stop by. A few months ago I orderED the Verde Burrito which is my favorite there and could not recognize what the hell I got when I received it. I thought this was just a one-​off so I gave it another chance a few weeks ago and got the same crap. Obviously, the old recipe was not passed on to the newer cooks. Nothing is green in the Verde Burrito any more. You basically get Carnitas with rice and some red sauce. Hopefully, one of the owners reads this makes some changes. To have frequented a place for so long and to come back to to food that doesn’t resemble or taste anything like you grew up with is VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

The very best breakfast burrito in the whole world!!!
So, for you to order this bad boy your going to ask for the «bacon, cheese, potato, egg burrito.» Chances are you ordered 4 of them or something because when anybody hears your going for burritos people are going to ask you to grab some for them. Then the workers just refer to it as «4 bacon» or whatever number you ordered.
The place is outdated, The prices on the boards are just taped over, and the vending machine items look like they came from a grocery store from 1986, but not the good ones, exclusively the rejected ones.
The point is that you didn’t come here for some crappy vending machine or to rate the chipping tables and perpetually dirty floors. You came for the food and they do that fantastically. I love these burritos and you will too. Try both salsas as they are fantastic.

Came here to fulfil a late night craving for Carne asada fries and was disappointed at how oily the fries were. It was a soggy mess — as if someone used the potatoes to soak the oil, plated it, and I could ring out the excess oil like a wet rag. After a few bites, I knew I couldn’t eat it. Picked at the Carne asada instead. Fortunately, the rolled tacos we ordered were just right, wish we got more of those.
3 stars for the rolled tacos and being open 24hrs, minus 1 star for the super oily fries.

Bean and cheese, Goood. Salsa, gooood. Spicy! Just like I like it.

I really like this place. Hot sauce is spicy yet savory. Carne Asada fries are awesome. Burritos are great. I take a star off because of the portions. They are smaller than most restaurants but the quality is definitely there.

Great taco shop, epitomizes a true taco shop. Open late, cheap good food, great prices, super fast. Their rolled tacos are the best!

This place is just good! They have a wide variety of food. It is obviously family run. Love the burritos, tortas, tacos. I have many other items I’m waiting to try. I will say the service is not the fastest in the world. But good food made with love takes time. Will definitely be back!

Heavily disappointed in the California Burrito. I was craving one for the longest time and was not impressed by their version of it. They do not put any sour cream or guacamole. The cheese was cold and not melted. This is the only place I’ve been to that doesn’t serve it with either sour cream or guacamole. My sister ordered Carne Asada Fries and they were decent. I don’t have high standards when it comes to food or am I a picky eater but I simply didn’t like it. I will give the place another shot as sometimes restaurants have bad days.

I went to this place bc I was hung over and wanted menudo. The service and the menudo needed some serious work. The menudo wasn’t anything to brag about and the lady who took my order argued with me after she got my drink wrong. Not stopping here again. As I was leaving I heard the same lady arguing with another customer.

This place used to be good, but the guy at the cashier just started getting an attitude like hell, no smile, just hurry an order, he messed up my order and on the clarification i had to pay another dollar to swipe my debit card for his own inability to take my order.
Now i go and asked for small tostadas they always used to make and they tell me now «we dont have them» he could have just said «its extra» and I would be happy to pay.
But now on top of all im supposed to eat what he wants because he doesnt care to make a simple order?
Im done with this restaurant, what a shame. they know how to make good food but dont longer care.

Good food available 24 hours. Parking is a little tight. Place is really lit up inside. Staff is friendly. The tacos are a good size with a lot of toppings. Definitely worth a stop.

What the menu says and what they charge you are not the same I pointed it out to the employee and he said «I will tell the manager but then didn’t offer to refund the discrepancy. I waited until my food was done to ask me for my change. Although it was only 75 cents it’s my 75 cents

I ordered the carne asada burrito with only sour cream & Cheese Luke always. I hope this money spent is worth it for real because I haven’t been here in over 10 years due to me being in job corps. Let’s see if this spot still has it…

This place has been in IB for years. When I was little I was taken here for the first time and I was told I loved it. I come here now and I still love it. I introduce people to this place and they fall in love with it. My go to meal is Carne Asada Chips with Sour Cream and a large Horchata. Amazing. My Boyfriend and I always share a big plate. They are also open late and they have decent prices. Please stop by and try this place you won’t regret it!

This place has been around the Nestor area for quite a long time. In a crowded hole in the wall market, Victoria’s is a good solid local choice. I enjoy the Adobada tacos and the California burritos. One really big plus about Victoria’s is the level of friendliness with the cooks and cashiers. I have always had a pleasant if not spectacular experience here, although we’re at four and not five stats due to some inconsistency with the overall quality. The Carne Asana and Adobada chips /​fries are also a great choice. I’m not a big fan of their horchatas, but there are plenty of other options. If you haven’t been by Victoria’s and its very quirky parking lot, give them a shot. Really great choice for light night tasty vittles, although it can get a little rough after 9pm or so. Recommended!

A lot of food for what you order, but it wasn’t as tasty as I had hoped for it to be. I felt like the carne asada burrito I had gotten was missing flavor and I didn’t really like the meat. The rice and beans were okay. The parking lot is tiny — shared with a few other businesses, but when I had gone there were empty spaces open. I heard the carne asada fries were the thing to get here… judging by what others had ordered.

I can’t believe I live right down the street and I had never given this plce a chance! The employees were super friendly and my food was ready in no more than 6 or 7 minutes. I got 5 rolled tacos with guacamole for like $ 3 something. good deal! They wre beef and they were awesome! I hadn’t had rolled tacos in a few years and these really hit the spot.
The inside has about 4 tables to sit at and there is no outside seating…
So the bestest part is, THEY ARE OPEN 24 HRS! :D
