We come here regularly. There are many things I like about this restaurant. Huge portions. Delicious food. Excellent service. Great prices. Lovely atmosphere. Great Location. They also have lots of coupons that they send to local homes in Carmel Valley. And they have a great family style special offer on Monday nights.

So disappointed… I could cry. We ordered garlic clam pasta, veal, and stuffed mushrooms. Will never order from this establishment again. The bread was better than the entire meal which was totally lacking in flavor. I would say Ragu is better and Ragu sucks.

So I order from this place all the time. Their deliver is great, but DON’T PICKUPTHERE!!! I went there tonight and it was supposed to be ready at 7:11 pm(they sent me a confirmation email). I got there at exactly 7:11. I waited for 15 minutes. No «would you like to sit down?» No «would you like something to drink while you wait?» No «I’m sorry it is late.» No «let us give you a dessert because we fucked up.» I won’t be back for a long long long long(did I say long?) time.

One of the most frequented restaurants of my family’s Italian dinner night rotation picks. Vittorio’s is located just down the street from my old high school and is one out of the handful of restaurants in the Torrey Highlands Village Center off the 56 that has endured the constant center changes. *knock on wood* Albertsons — Haggens — Albertsons, Peri Peri, Bread Bites and More, etc. *cough cough* My family and I have both dined in and ordered to go. Usually these trips are prompted by very generous groupon offers, however the family take-out family packs are also a good bang for your buck. One of my go-to dishes is the Vittorio’s Salad(sliced Anjou pear, mixed greens, caramelized walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, and balsamico vinaigrette). It’s always fresh and filling. You can even ask the waiter/waitress to split it if you want to share — split between two people, the portion is perfect and always a great start to a meal! Comforting Italian food and excellent service, Vittorio’s is a consistent dining choice.

We typically order carryout or delivery(wonderful to be in the delivery area for such a good restaurant) but I finally had the chance to eat dinner here on a Saturday evening. I had the Penne Elena and it was delicious. Pasta, shrimp and sauce were cooked to perfection. Also had calamari, which was tasty, and a good gin and tonic. Nice ambiance for a date or intimate family dinner. I’ve also ordered the tiramisu before and that was excellent. Definitely recommend Vittorios!

Love this establishment! The food is so good and staff is so friendly and kind. I honestly have nothing bad to say say. The portions are generous. I go here starving and yet I can barely make a dint in my meal which is fine with me… I’ll take the rest to enjoy again later.

The service is really good. Unfortunately the food does not match the ambience nor the prices. The free bread and sauce came out. Ordered a pasta dish, Cioppino and the mussels and clams. ALL has the same sauce as the sauce that came with the free bread. We also ordered the side of meatballs and they were cold and in the same red sauce as everything else. It’s like a can of tomatoes opened up with sliced garlic. It’s really disappointing. Portions aren’t too bad in size.

A lovely, unpretentious bistro. Victor is a great host. The Happy Hour eggplant parmigiana appetizer is a great lite dinner

This place has an amazing happy hour. Everyone is very friendly, food is tasty, prices are great! I like the relaxed atmosphere with the swanky bar. The bartender Brian is welcoming and outgoing. This is my go to spot when I’m in the area. I recommended this place to my friends and family and they like it too.

Literally the worst food I have ever eaten… Customer service was great. Besides that, food had zero flavor. I put about 12 seasonings on it and still fed it to the dogs. It was awful. Do yourself a favor –never buy food here!

My husband and I visited for happy hour yesterday and had a lovely time. I had called ahead to ask if they had a place to store our bicycles safely, as we didn’t want to leave them in front of a busy shopping center — they were SO accommodating and even met us outside to show us the safe spot to lock them! Our bartender, Brian, was friendly and helpful, serving us quickly and accurately taking our order(because capers are evil). We were first provided foccacia that was warm and dense alongside a marinara dip, but that was cold and weird. We ordered 4 appetizers(half off!) and devoured every bite. I am in love with the artichokes and the carpaccio was delicate and flavorful. My husband ate every bite of the mussel and clam dish, as well as beautifully presented proscuttio with mozzarella that had a lovely balsamic drizzled over. The ambiance was lovely — intimate but not too dark, and the fans kept the air moving so we weren’t all dying from the stifling heat outside. There is a large, separate dining room in the back that would be good for hosting events. Classy without being too pricey, great service — will definitely return.

Super food. Excellent décor. Reasonable prices. The lobster ravioli was a light subtle flavor in a wonderful delicate sauce. Never been here before. Will definitely come back.

Haven’t been here for a while, but Victor and two of the waiters recognized me and greeted me warmly as I walked in. So nice to see the same faces over years of business! The food is always good– hot bread fresh out of the oven at 2:30pm, pasta cooked perfectly al dente, lots of fresh veggies in the fettuccine primavera with just a light olive oil and garlic sauce, nice full bodied Chardonnay… heaven! Service is friendly and attentive, and very quick! A party of 11 came in halfway through my lunch, and they were enjoying appetizers before I left. Plenty of parking, lots of seating, esp in the open air patio room. They also deliver if you live close by. Love this place!

3.5STARS Nice italian ambiance vibe to the restaurant. Dimmed lighting and nicely set up tables. Customer service was great. Our server was very attentive and made sure everything was going great. FOOD: We ordered two dishes that were not on the menu. But were on the chef’s special menu. Lamb Chops $ 29.95 I really have to mention that these were the tiniest lamb chops I have ever received. You might as well call them lamb chop lollipops! Although they were cooked to a perfect medium rare. They were good but a little bit on the salty side. They were drizzled with a type of gravy sauce and you can taste the salt in the sauce too. I felt like the steamed carrots and broccoli was such a standard side to go with such a great dish. They were flavorless so I had to dip them i the gravy sauce to make them better. I feel like the dish has potential, but they could definitely give larger portions of lamb chops and make a better side dish to go with it. Seafood Linguine Pescatore $ 22.95 This dish was a nice presentation. I can see lots of mixed seafood in the noodles. Mussels, clams, fish, squid and shrimp. My favorites in this dish was the nice chunks of fish and large shrimp. The squid didn’t seem fresh though, tasted more like something you buy frozen and reheat from a grocery store. The sauce was very light and I enjoyed dipping my bread in it. It tasted like a white wine tomato sauce. Complimentary Bread I did enjoy the bread very much. It was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It is baked fresh before your orders which i nice. They also have a tomato sauce dipping sauce to go with it. We did also order a half bottle of red wine which was very good. The half bottle was $ 16 which isn’t that bad at all but I guess it really depends on what wine you order. My only complaint is that it wasn’t enough food. My boyfriend and I shared the two plates and I found myself having to indulge in more bread in order to be content. I was still hungry afterwards which sucked. And I don’t usually eat too much Italian food either because it’s too much carbs for me and I usually don’t even finish my whole plate of pasta/noodles and I found it quite shocking that I was still hungry afterwards. Overall, this place is okay. Pretty good but not amazing.

DISCLAIMER: I have not ordered from their full menu and this review is based on two ‘Wine Dinners’ that I’ve gone to. Summary: First wine dinner was marginal, the second was a total waste of money. Location: 3 Stars. In a strip mall but I can’t hold that against them since some of the best food I’ve had is from places in strip malls. Atmosphere: 3 Stars. Not bad but nothing special Service 4 Stars. Service for the wine dinner was good and efficient considering the size of the crowd. Food 1 Stars: Pretty weak at both wine dinners. There was a ravioli one night that I swear came out of a Chef Boyardee can. Everything else was mediocre at best and the wine pairings were out of sync with the food or the wine just wasn’t all that good.

Accidently stumbled upon this little gem! My dad and I were starving and this was the next restaurant we could find, and I’m glad we did! It’s a great little neighborhood restaurant with a fun Italian ambiance. They have a great looking happy hour and they also have tequila specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We opted to split a bottle of wine, only $ 20! The food was amazing too! My dad got the classic spaghetti and meatballs, can’t go wrong! I got the spinach salad with chicken, which was perfect. If I were a salad, I would be this spinach salad. I highly recommend it! We will definitely come back and being the whole family! It looks like they have paint and wine nights on Tuesdays, I will have to try that too!

Date of visit: 4÷2÷2015 This is an extremely delayed post as I just found the pictures from Vittorio’s today. My family loves the food at Vittorio’s and the staff is always super nice. Caesar Salad — I ordered this as is, but should have asked for the dressing on the side. It’s a pretty typical salad, but I like starting off my meals with some greens. The«small» was pretty big though and I shared it with Cam and my dad. Spicy Fettuccine with Chicken — This dish has a fancier name and usually comes with shrimp, but I asked for chicken instead. The sauce is pretty spicy and and I enjoyed it, but I thought it would have tasted better with the gnocchi.(Tip: I came here again with some friends and the server said I could order the gnocchi with spicy sauce). The lighting in here is very dim, so my pictures don’t come out well, but this is definitely some comforting Italian food near the PQ area. We’ll definitely be back!

I made a reservation for 7pm, I came and got sat right away. Some guy filled our glasses with water and gave us bread. The server came 10 – 15 min after I got sat. When the server finally came he didn’t introduce himself and was quickly to be like«what do you want». He made no personal connection not even the simple«Hi I’m blah blah, how is everyone tonight?». I noticed after he took my order he took two other tables order. Then it was 7:40 and the other two tables who came after me got their appetizer before me. I waited 40 minutes to get food on the table! 40MINUTES! The food was okay. I would NOT go back again. I wasted $ 72 for bad service and okay food.

Came here with a groupon! Food was just as expected, family style Italian. The sampler platter was a nice start: grilled veggies, cheese, salami, bruschetta, etc! I’m a huge calamari fan. While the calamari here was definitely tasty, I’ve had better at a number of places.(Also the marinara dip that came with it was bland.) We shared a linguine linguine pasta that wasn’t too memorable. Service was excellent. Very well trained staff. For me, worth the groupon, but not the dollar!

After returning to Vittorio’s on Friday night, I sadly have to remove one star from my rating. This recent visit was far less impressive than my previous one, which actually almost earned five stars. My boyfriend and I arrived around 7 without reservations and, despite the restaurant appearing to be quite full, were seated within five minutes. We received, as usual, complimentary hot, fresh bread and a delicious marinara dipping sauce. Unfortunately, the meal began to go downhill from here. We ordered the Caesar Salad and Bruscetta Duo for appetizers and were disappointed with both. The salad had very little dressing and hardly any flavor. My boyfriend’s bruscetta didn’t taste fresh either. My entrée wasn’t any better. Since I enjoyed my Farfalle al Pesto e Pollo so much last time, I ordered it again. Sadly, it was not the same dish that I remembered. The sauce seemed watery and lacked any taste. It’s advertised as being a creamy pesto but it seemed like the cream was missing. I ate a couple of bites and brought the rest home to fix up with extra alfredo sauce. I also ordered a side of garlic bread with my meal and it was quite good. But when the only thing that I enjoyed from the meal was bread, there’s definitely a problem. Had I not visited before and had such a good first experience, I likely would give Vittorio’s a two star rating. But I’ll give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and hope that they were simply having an off-night.
