Let me just say, I have to buy a lot of food and VONS gives the best sales… so when food and items are on sale… I buy, buy, buy! I usually go into this old Cashier’s line … I could kick myself because I forgot his name… He knows me because I usually buy a lot. I can’t help buying a lot… my husband eats because he is in the Navy, and his ship’s food is terrible. I want to be a great wife to fill him up with food. Today was terrible, and I didn’t buy what I could have… today I was alone because my husband has to work… the old man never called bagging when it was my turn. He just sat there looking at me to bag not own stuff… and his friends where all up on me talking to him, and being disrespectful. Like I’m not trying have people know my pin number and stuff. Not giving me space. I had to bag while he bagged a Shit job. He barley bagged anythinff anyways. I bagged most of my stuff… he turns to me and goes «You make this extremely difficult each time you come.» ‚(He wasn’t being funny either… asked could I swap and he goes yeah while rolling his eye’s. I’ve never been rude to my elders… and I kept my mouth shut. I am not the one to cause a fight. I went to put my stuff in my truck and everything broke and fell out of the ripped bags ‚(. I called my husband crying. How poorly the elder gentlemen was… I shouldn’t feel that way. I shouldn’t feel anxiety when I go through his line and he has been rude to me everytime. And I won’t, I refuse too now. My husband is coming home tomorrow morning, and we are going to the Manager. I just can’t call or go there today. I am busy with up coming life stufd. they don’t have enough worker’s either. lines are backed up, and baggers aren’t there to bag. I just don’t ever want to feel disrespected. I buy a lot of food. I want my husband happy. Don’t be rude… and don’t make me angry to the point I’m crying, and having an anxiety attack. The older guy looks like a bald man, and has a grey and white goatee… and hangs his glasses around his neck. Just hurt… i dislike him.

This place really disappoints me. One of the worst grocery stores that I have ever frequented. Unfortunately, not any other legitimate choices nearby. Wear a coat. It is always freezing in there. I find the prices high. No matter what time of day or how slow it is, you can expect to have to wait in a long line to check out. They never anticipate and always have way too few check stands open. Their rewards card gives you discounts on gas as you build points, however, there are no Vons with gas stations anywhere around here. Chevron participates, but only allows a 20 cent discount to their already sky high prices. You are still better off to go elsewhere and get a lower price.

This Vons needs major training and customer service I was there yesterday on Saturday to buy a money order and because I wanted it to money orders in the mail that I wanted them and they felt I was aggressive and refused to sell them to me when I ask for a supervisor the customer service comes over she was really rude only because I was asking to get clear understanding Big turnaround and refused to provide service clearly stated that I was aggressive because I raise questions and I spoke to them I understand this vons used to treating customers any way they want to and getting away with it no one probably is reporting how rude they are to customers dislocation obviously has forgotten that they’re in the same Shopping Center with Walmart and down the street on H Street is a Smart & Final dislocation need some major training and customer service skills I’ve seen them be rude two others and they’re very judgemental this occasion deserves a triple zero they have a lot to be desired of when it comes to customer service care I plan on letting everyone how rude they are. It is amazing how much money they spend all sending advertisements out every week to get customers to shop at their store and yet be so rude I will be letting everyone that I know how rude this location is up to and including the church that I attend and asking them to spread the word the management staff needs training and needs to be transferred to another location, they forgot that there’s at Walmart and the new Smart & Final on H Street

The Von’s Café here is a joke. The menu states options that they don’t even offer –_​– … Maybe they shouldn’t sell sandwiches if they can’t even keep it up to standard. Can’t even toast some bread smh

THE rudest employees EVER. They never greet the customer and you will ALWAYS get the juiciest gossip about their fellow employees because all they do is talk and talk and talk the entire time you are being rung up. God forbid they have to ask you a question, you will see them visibly upset that they have to stop and ask you something in the rudest tone imaginable. APRIL is next month. I suggest management do some spring cleaning.

Very nice store not crowded and the soups are very good. Today I tried the sushi and it was delicious I really like this store

Meh. actually the worst Vons I’ve been in. To bad is my local one. Seriously, this place is kind of a dump… but it sure beats the hell out of giving my money to Wally!

Why would there be a code on the woman’s restroom. I’m pregnant and nearly peed myself. I wish I did so they would take the damn code off. Vent over. AND OUT OF DAMN PAPER TOWELS

So… last night we were once again at Vons… and they disappoint yet again… I see they finally bring out the CoffeeMate holidays creamers… you know like peppermint mocha… oh wait… thats the only one and yet they have a sign next to the coffee cream saying they have my favorite… the one Im actually looking for… pumpkin spice… and yet nothing, nada! Not in the small size, not in the big size, not in the off brand, not in any brand! Seriously, its like every freakin year I go thru this with them… Im fixin to take my weekly grocery shopping elsewhere… I mean have you read my other post? The molded tortillas? Yeah… still looking for a better place to buy tortillas cause apparently places in IB and local area like to let theirs mold and then hang out with the fresh ones…

Lately my visits to vons have been a bit uncomfortable. This has always been my go to store for everything. I used to be asked if I needed help out with my groceries and I always thought that was a nice gesture since I would go around 10:30 pm, recently though the people there are just talking and goofing off with each other. The young male employees are flirting with the cashiers and I just think it’s weird… I don’t get asked if I need help or anything… Their customer service sucks now :(

This location has been going downhill and it’s sad cause every grocery store in IB sucks ok I went to vons yesterday and bought some mozzarella cheese for a salad when I got home I realized the cheese was over a month expired so I returned it when I went to find a new mozzarella I found over six that were more than a month expired one was over 4 months expired how gross vons

Bought a week old expired lunch meat today. Ate a whole sandwich until sandwich number two! Wtf!!!

Usually great store. But two nights ago we purchased garlic bread for dinner and when we pulled it out the oven and opened it … To our disgust it had mold. Yes you read it correctly MOLD. Our dinner was ruined. No expiration dates or prepared on dates were written on the package if a place is going to sell pre made food put a label on it…

This place has really gone downhill.
The bakery girls are absolutely clueless. It almost seems like they are hiring just about anyone to work in those departments regardless of experience.
Last Friday, I special ordered a birthday cake for my husband.
It was supposed to be a
German chocolate buttercream cake.
The message on it was simple:
Happy Birthday Anthony
With the #23 underneath his name.
(A joke between he and I. He’s really 32)
I noticed the girl didn’t write any of my special requests on the paper/​order form.
When I asked her to, she said
«I will remember, don’t worry!» And then mentioned that she was late for her break and tried to take off.
Hell no! I stopped her! I told her I need it written down. So she came back and wrote it on the endpaper of a notepad, (like the back page) urged me not to worry and took off.
Come Sunday, the day to pick up the cake (3 days later).
When I asked the lady in the bakery to show me the cake before handing it to me, she pretended to not hear me. She promptly closed it up in a pink box, taped it shut and put it in my cart.
I could NOT believe it, I received a horrible cake!!!
There was no buttercream in sight.
Just whipped frosting, which my husband HATES.
Oh, and the message:
«Happy Birthday Anthoy»
If she hadn’t misspelled it, I’d still be upset.
The letters weren’t even centered.
The writing was sloppy.
The #23 was nowhere to be found.
Luckily they have candles with numbers. But still.
Extra money spent on a special order cake that was dry and tasted AWFUL. :-(

Every time I come in after work the lines are so long as if I’m crossing the border they need more cashiers!!! Or a sentri line

I love coming here for two reasons…
1. Not crowded.
2. They have everything you are probably looking for.
The only thing I don’t like about vons is the price. I come here and spend so much money on very little items. Sometimes I would rather pay than to go somewhere that is overcrowded or vise versa. Depends on my patience lol.

Well… not joking: Just had a German chocolate cake out of the bakery, aaaaaannnnnnddddd it had a maggot in it. That’s right. A real, honest to god, maggot. «Maybe it was coconut!», we tried to convince ourselves. We came to terms that it wasn’t coconut, as coconut doesn’t move on its own accord and has tiny little brown feet. Nope. A maggot. When I called the manager to let him know that he should throw THEM ALL OUT… he was nonplussed and cavalier about
.A.PIECE.OF.CAKE…makes one wonder how many times this has happened. Beware of the bakery. I’m not entirely convinced that he is going to throw out the rest of the cakes on the shelves. Good god. Good god.

This Von’s is okay. Doesn’t have a Starbucks inside. Every time we come here on a Friday night, the $ 5 dollar specials on Friday are always gone. This place is clean & the lines can get kind of long. Traffic coming into the shopping center is crazy since there’s a Walmart across from Von’s.

My favorite Vons in the South Bay area. The staff is always friendly and almost overly chatty, but I suppose that’s better than sullen and borderline suicidal high school students at other stores. The deli is outstanding at this location; I love the fried chicken deals– I just got 50 pieces for $ 40 for my party today, and was impressed how well it was packed and presented. The meat counter is tops; if you don’t see the cut you want, even on sale, let the butcher know– He’ll chop your selected cut of tasty dead animal and wrap it with the good price. Lots of tasty baked treats as well, and a good bread section. Hey, the AC is always extra chilly, too, which is why I don’t go to Savalot (Calimax North, lol). I’ve always wondered about grocers that keep it hit and sweaty inside. Pretty iffy. Anyway, Vons Palm City is awesome!

Love the muffins, pastries, cakes, my faves are pineapple upside down & tres leches. My kids are addicted to their baked croissant!!! Our 2^nd fave grocery store & close to our home.
