I was pleasantly surprised to find a prototype 12′ 6″ Doyle R/​T in stock. Bob spent time with me as if he was my best friend. Great suggestions without over selling. To me this is the best SUP store in San Diego.

Mr big wasn’t working the day I was sent in there to purchase a paddle, but a guy named Sean helped me, and he excelled! Sean sold me what I needed not what made the most money for the store. The paddle works great and he fitted it perfect for my height, same length as my old one, which I forgot to bring with me.
The store have everything you could dream of for stand up paddling

I’m very pleased with the deck pad Bob installed on my new custom board. Bob trimmed my 3 price rear kick pad into the deck pad and it came out amazing tight. I was able to leave my board while the pad was ordered to a color my wife choose, thank goodness for inviting her to help out.

A five star experience. Informative owner and employees. A well stocked shop for all things SUP including boards paddles and all accessories. The price points were surprisingly fair. Takes credit cards and a great place to stay abreast of all things SUP happening around the county. Like them on FB to get info on upcoming events.

Great place to fulfill your stand up or outrigger paddling needs. I bought a pair of fingerless paddling gloves (Dakine). Bob was helpful with tips on the sizing. I’m excited to return one day to purchase a Quickblade! Thank you!

I am so happy I found this place. Bob was incredibly knowledgeable about all things SUP. After a failed attempt at replacing the deckpad myself, he was happy to take on the task of removing the old adhesive, at what I believe was a more than fair price. I am particular about my surfboards, so I was initially nervous leaving it to someone else, but the end result showed that he cares as much as I do. The board was polished, and looked better than new.
The selection of boards was also amazing. He represents some of the best brands in the business. I will be back!

This is the best SUP shop in San Diego. Great selection, fair pricing, and expert advice tailored to the skill and familiarity of the customer. Excellent customer service. Went to West Coast Paddle Sports when it was time to upgrade my paddle. They were very helpful and friendly helping me find the right paddle for my SUP’n needs. I’m very happy with the selection I made. They also host a SUP swap meet which people can bring their boards and paddle to sell.

If you need to rent or are on the market to buy, no one is nicer or more patient than Bob Long! We’ve been customers since his days at Mission Surf, and he is always super helpful and up-​beat.
He even leads Wednesday morning paddle tours on the Bay for any and all. If you ask nicely in advance, he’ll bring along a loaner board if you don’t have one yet. Pretty awesome!
