After paying my copay and that my insurance covered my visit, several months later I received a bill for ~$ 300. Insurance company said doctor requested some tests which was totally not related with the symptom I saw the doctor. So the doctor cheats!!! Do not use this service. In addition, when I tried to call the office to discuss about the bill issue, they hang up my phone call after hearing my description.

Dr. Wong is a relatively good doc and very nice person, but unfortunately his staff(in the downtown location) are why he gets this rating. The female who greeted me for my physical in the morning wasn’t friendly(one of the nurses/MAs) which didn’t set a good first impression as a new patient. Again I was there for a physical(which did involve xrays), and I was there about 2 hours total which is WAY too long for a physical — unacceptable. Lastly, I had to call 3 – 4 times to get my lab work records sent to me — again, unacceptable. But the worst part of all was that they actually had a medical assistant STUDENT to take my vials of blood(which was about 3 – 4 vials). I could tell this poor kid was nervous right from the start which made me nervous and it was downhill from there. His hand was trembling and sweating the entire time which caused him to push the needle deeper into my veins causing me pain(and later a large bruise on that arm). I tried to breathe through the pain not to embarrass him but told him he had to stop and try the other arm. He yanks the vial out which shoots blood onto the exam table(which he didn’t wipe up). After one more vial of torture on my other arm, I told him he had to stop and the other MA had to come into draw my blood. A medical student(whom I doubt even has experience drawing blood based on what I went through) should NEVER be used to draw 4 vials of blood in a new patient. This was the main reason I will never be back… sorry Dr. Wong.

Agreed with Melanie. I had an insurance billing issue(I’m supposed to get an annual physical for free) and they NEVER resolved it even after monthly phone calls from April 2010 through May 2011. I finally gave up and paid $ 130 out of pocket for my physical, which again should have been free for me. Dr. Wong was an alright guy in person, but this billing nightmare(and their failure to help me resolve this with the insurance company) prompted me to seek a new doctor. And write about my experience on Unilocal, too.

Unbelievable incompetence on the part of his assistant. She’s late, doesn’t return phone calls, and it takes weeks to get a prescription refilled. We are changing Doctors because of her.

Dr. Wong is great. I have had a series of problems the past year and he has been great working with me. His office downtown is very nice and convenient.
