Excellent, friendly service seems to be a scarcity at some places these days, but Wow Wow Waffle has it down! Love the great attitudes from everyone I encountered working here. Our three waffle plates came out super quick. I was blown away by how scrumptious my Number 7 was(their best seller!) They def do not skimp on the bacon and avocado, which I seriously appreciate. The lemonade was v. yummy! So glad this place is in North Park. We’ll be back.

What a find! I love Belgian waffles, and these are fantastic. My wife is a fan of savory, so on our several visits we’ve had the candied bacon, goat cheese and avocado, brie and jam, and the plain waffles(2 for 7) with powdered sugar. Yum! Drinks are very good, with iced coffee and brewed coffee from smaller roasters. Relaxing to sit near the back now, like relaxing at home, in the back yard. The staff is friendly, and very engaged with their customers, so the overall vibe is relaxed but efficient. We’re considering ordering a dozen(advanced notice required) to freeze at home for sudden waffle craving(on M, Tu, Wed). In fact, we’re looking for larger things to bring to the laundry, so that we can feast on waffles while we clean comforters and such. Well worth a trip!

A must visit if you’re in San Diego. I’m honestly not much into waffles, I don’t know that I’ve ever ordered them for breakfast over eggs and more savory items, but Wow Wow Waffle is so different, and has so many unique options, it really didn’t matter. Arriving a little after 9am on a Friday the place wasn’t too busy, it was actually mostly our group that took over. We were greeted at the entrance. Now this isn’t actually a building. It’s pretty much a courtyard, and it makes for a really great atmosphere given the San Diego weather. You place your order at the front entrace, then take a seat inside the courtyard area(benches, picnic tables, cute little pergolas) It was the first day of my visit, and we had arrived late the night before. I was pretty hungry so looking over the menu it was difficult to make a choice… then I remembered, I’m on vacation! I’ll just get two. I ended up ordering the brie and jam waffle since the jam of the week was cherry, and the turkey melt. Now I don’t eat meat, but the sandwich looked so good with cheese, mayo, arugula, and roasted red peppers, and they were super accommodating letting me sub out avocado for turkey. I also went way out of my comfort zone as I drink almost exclusively water and ordered one of their special lemonades, this one was Arnold Palmer-esque with tea mixed in. Now I don’t not order lemonade because I don’t like it, I don’t usually order lemonade because I LOVE it, and can’t be trusted with liquid calories, but again, vacation. Our beverages came out first and the lemonade was amazing. It’s a little on the sour end which I love. Our food started arriving shortly. My brie and jam waffle was really special, The waffles themselves are perfect with a little crispness and great flavor. The cherry jam went so well with the brie, and wasn’t too sweet. My «turkey» turned avocado melt was amazing as well. The peppery arugula went great with the waffle. that combo needs to happen more often. I wasn’t able to finish everything, because I did order two entrees, but the great thing about being out with a group of Unilocalers is that everyone is willing to chip in to make sure food doesn’t go to waste. Being an outdoor location the restroom was located in the next door«hipster» laundromat and was much cleaner than I expected it to be when they first sent me to the laundromat. The service here was great, with the staff being super accommodating getting the group syrup(if you do a breakfast waffle definitely ask about it, they have some special ones) and just overall making sure our experience was perfect. The atmosphere is great for a group to hang out for breakfast, and the food is amazing, a must stop in San Diego for sure.

Been wanting to come here forever, but they have weird hours so make sure you check the hours of operation before randomly coming here. It’s a cute little establishment wedged between a laundry mat and a house. It’s completely outdoors with some unique table settings. If you go to the far back left, there’s some tables around a fire pit which is also really cool. Menu is simple and easy. Choose between savory or sweet waffles. Food came out pretty quick. Prices are a little bit expensive. The Number Seven $ 7.99 (Caramelized candied bacons, goat cheese spread, sliced avocado, pink sea salt) The waffle was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There was a good amount of avocado and bacon. The avocado was a bit overpowering, could use more goat cheese spread. But the bacon was slightly thick cut up pieces and had food flavor. Monte Melt $ 8.50 (Sliced honey ham, swiss cheese, strawberry jam, powered sugar) It’s basically like a monte cristo waffle sandwich. Slightly sweet but delicious. Overall, it’s a unique place for some waffles.

I was in North Park and came across this cute, yet«hippie» spot. I’ve seen their food at farmers markets and was excited to try out the actual spot. I love their vibes and location. Reminded me of LA. Their waffles are pretty dang good. The service was on point as well. I got their Waffles with nutella & strawberries. SO yummy. I’m hoping they will open one up North in Del Sur. I just reached out to see if they would open a brick & mortar out there. Hope to hear from them soon. a girl can only dream.

We stumbled upon this charming breakfast spot. Food was awesome, pearl sugar stuffed fresh waffles with various options ranging from a fresh fruit parfait piled on top, to a unique version of a monte Christo. All staff, including our server Demitrie, were super kind and helpful. Wander to the back of the restaurant to find a fire pit with salvaged furniture including chairs made from skate boards, stadium seats and dairy crates. Definitely someplace I would love to visit again. Oh yeah, and they gave us a reusable bag as gift. Thank you WWW!!!

Gotta give this place 5 stars because everything about this place was great. It was pretty confusing to find, but once I did I was an interesting place. I can only imagine how great this place would be at night as well, because during the day it was a nice experience. The menu had combinations of flavors that I found really cool such as watermelon basil lemonade?! Definitely gonna have to try that out next time. I ordered the # seven waffle, it was savory heaven. The portioning of it looked small, however after I was finished with my waffle it was really worth my money. The waffle itself wasn’t too sweet and it was tasty. The combination of goat cheese, avocado and candied bacon really worked. The goat cheese and avocado were really creamy, and the candied bacon was cooked to perfection. Overall, I understand why this is their #1 selling waffle. The customer service was excellent. I was served by Dimitri, and he was very attentive and threw away any of our trash, even the wrappers! He has a bright attitude that would make me want to come back. He made the whole environment a very welcoming, relaxing place. 10⁄10 would recommend this place to anyone.

First time here… I arrived, and since I had friends already seated, I went right«in»(it’s all outside seating). Thankfully, the rest of my friends with me are used to reading and notices that we had to order at the entrance. Ok, back«out» I go. Menu is displayed in a white board next to the host/cashier. They have sweet waffles, savory waffles, a mixed of both waffles, coffee, and an assorted selection of ices fruit teas. The teas come in different sizes, the best are the two large ones since they come in a «souvenir» mason jar. Once you place your order, go in a grab a table. Floor is simulating grass, and tables feel like you’re at a park or picnic. Coffee is self-serve and unlimited refills. They offer milk, half and half, almond milk, and I think I even saw some flavored syrup. When your order is ready, they call your name and you just raise your hand for them to bring your waffle to you. I ordered the Mote Cristo one and was delicious! I love the salty combination of the sandwich, with the sweetness of the powdered sugar from the waffles. It was enough that I didn’t even need syrup. Now, if you do, they have several for you to choose from. Staff is very friendly, making conversation with us, recommending other places for us to visit on our trip… one of our friends realized they ordered the wrong flavored tea and they brought it out without a problem. They also have no problem customizing the waffles for you. The orders come out fast and they make sure you have everything you need while enjoying your waffles. Place is a bit small, so, I’m sure there’s days that the wait can be long, but love the concept and really cool place.

Every Breakfast-Brunch Should Be Here! SITREP You will not be disappointed in the great waffle options, delicious additions, inexpensive set-up & easy-going vibe of this wonderful spot! Pro-Tip: Fantastic as a meet-up spot for groups laying out a day’s strategy for touring throughout San Diego and points beyond. But also awesome as a casual off-site work conference should a needed change of work-venue can freshen the spirits. THESETUP Primarily boosted as a Belgian Waffle House, this enjoyable venue is much much more than that — think all things pertaining to a good breakfast and you have the main«ingredients». The«set-up» is indeed hassle free, and low-cost to you, the consumer: * Pay as you come in: go to the counter and tell the register what you want, what you you’d like to add that departs from the set options, and all you can drink self-serve local roasted coffee. * Choose a spot in back(if staying), and find a nice picnic table where you and friends can congregate for a nice table-discussion * Share items with each other, because each waffle combo is unique and delicious in it’s own way: many are savory with bacon & avocado, etc.; some are sweet with the blueberries and other sweet jams; some are BOTH SWAG! Very cool that Wow Wow Waffle knows how to market itself in a fun fashion with it’s own Wow Wow Waffle bags! We all picked up one and then come to find out that they have different kinds on different days/weeks. What’s hiLARious is Wow Wow’s own tongue-in-cheek obvious nod to Unilocal!: So as the cereal boxes used to say about the toys inside, ««Collect them all!» and as Tony the Tiger roars, «They’re GREAT!» P-A-T-I-O The back area is totally open-area and a features roomy picnic tables that are set amid some fun wall-art. So if wanting enjoy some fresh air with your waffles and coffee, this is zee place! THELOWDOWN If this was next door to my house, I’d eat breakfast everyday here(or nearly) before going off to work!

My absolutely favorite spot in terms of food/ambiance/vibe etc in San Diego! Super glad I did some research beforehand and found this place(and subsequently dragged all my friends lol). We arrived at ~9:15am on a Friday so the place wasn’t too busy… though I imagine weekends are crazy here. After ordering up front we headed to the back and grabbed seats at one of the larger picnic tables. Wow Wow Waffle is pretty much wedged in an alleyway between two businesses, but don’t let that deter you — they’ve beautified the place and it’s a fabulous spot to enjoy the outdoors! Of course I had to go with the award winning Number Seven waffle featuring — avocado, goat cheese, bacon and of course waffle. The waffle was light and perfectly cooked, but the star of the show was the bacon! I like bacon, but I’m not exactly a member of the bacon cult… however, this was perhaps the best I’ve ever had! PROTIP — add bacon to the brie and jam waffle to really set it above and beyond! And I washed it all down with a specialty lemonade! Love this place! Ok, so yes the waffle was good… but really what set this place apart was the overall vibe and service. Our«server/owner?» was attentive, and more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were all happy, and we were delighted to share in the home-made maple syrup from his friend’s tree!

This location is a hidden gem in north park and behind the laundromat. Order your food first and then find a place to sit. It is a nicely decorated backyard with school chair seats, books to read and very chill atmosphere. I had the number seven waffle with avocados, bacon and goat cheese but had the goat cheese on the side. It was delicious and you can’t go wrong with waffles!!! The staff is very friendly. Stopping in to meet the Ft Lauderdale crew, the Detroit pack and I ordered our waffles at the front and went to the back to rustle up some seating. My waffle was amazing. So light and flavor-rich. I wanted to keep eating and devour the whole lot of them! Service was fantastic and we were given the super cute« Unilocal Critic» bags for stopping by. The honey enjoyed his lemonade with re-useable mason jar and we headed off to our next adventure full of sugar and dough. The only way it should be.

Came here today with some Unilocal friends during YSB and it was fantastic. It’s a bit hidden — it’s adjacent to the laundromat, and feels like an outdoor patio atmosphere. Waffles are $ 5−6+ and you can choose your toppings. I had the«fresh and light» waffle, which had strawberries, blackberries, fresh whipped cream, and I added caramel too. I also tried out the watermelon and basil lemonade, which was delicious, and it came in a mason jar that I got to take home(nice souvenir!). I normally am not a fan of whipped cream, too, but this was really good. It tasted homemade. My friends got waffles topped with avocado, goat cheese, and candied bacon, and they said those were also very good. The table where our group was sitting was full so we had to sit in nearby chairs, but the staff brought us some trays to balance our waffles on, too, which was really nice. Only complaint about this place is that the bathroom is in the laundromat next door and a little small/inconvenient. However, that wouldn’t deter me from returning, because the food was SO good and so was the service.

After you get over the fact that this isn’t your traditional Waffle House, you’ll be saying wow wow in no time. The whole wow wow waffle experience is so unique and cozy and you don’t find many restaurants like that anymore. Located behind a laundromat, this place is far from hard to miss with the line usually extending out past the sidewalk. You order and pay first then find a seat in their«backyard» waffle sanctuary. I ordered the number seven and my gosh the sweet, buttery, crispy, fluffiness of the waffle paired with the salty, maple-y, crunchiness of the candied bacon, brought together with the creaminess of the fresh avocado smashed on top and covered in tart smooth goat cheese… I’m drooling thinking about what a perfect waffle that was. I paired it with their berry lavender lemonade and I couldn’t have been any happier. Keep in mind one waffle usually isn’t enough to satisfy you. It’s not that it’s a small portion, it’s more that their waffles are SOFREAKINGGOOD that make you crave more. The cookie butter waffle is CRACK. We got the last cookie butter waffle and let me tell you the animal inside all of us came out fighting over that last bite. If their waffles don’t make you say wow, there’s something wrong with you.

Now it’s a little more obvious when you walk/drive by. They added a turkey breast sammie to the menu. Quite possibly my new favorite next to the Number Seven. If you’re in the mood for eggs, they have none. And they make note of it too. They’ll refer you to other places that DO have them, which I think is good. It reminds me of that old Christmas movie«Miracle on 34th Street», where the real Santa Claus who most believe to be a hired hand to play Santa Claus actually refers customers to their competitor because they have what Macy’s doesn’t. Odd reference, I know, but the point is that it’s a good thing that they do that. In the details for this place when Unilocal asked if it was good for groups, I said no because it’s not big. They have tables for larger groups, but those get taken up soon anyways. You’re better off going there with maybe one or two other people. Don’t be shy. Understand that if there is space, you shouldn’t feel weird about sitting next to someone at the same table unless the conversation you’re about to have upon sitting down is private or embarrassing. When your orders are ready, they call your name. If you have a common name, there is potential confusion. Use a name that is distinguishable. Remember to bring your lemonade jar for refills!

saw good reviews on Unilocal so I decided to come here. I walked past it by accident because the place is hard to see. But man, the atmosphere is great. Feels like home, feels like I’m eating at some guys backyard. The waffles taste amazing. they said the waffles are imported from Belgium. So it is super expensive and portion is small. It is worth coming here!

if the kids love it… you’ll love it. I had breakfast here with the god kids and they’re picky eaters. The first bite they took of their waffle… «mmm Nanang Del this is good» YASSS!!! I just won Ninang Award. Any way. this place is soooo cute! feels like im at my grandparents back yard. Peanut butter, Nutella and cookie dough were the ones we tried… i think its cookie dough. whatever it was its yummy. Definitely need to read the creation of their waffles, very interesting… you’ll appreciate every bite.

This is a gem of San Diego!!! Wow wow waffles! My friend took me here when I was in town for breakfast! This was amazzinggg. I was immediately intrigued when she was telling me about this place! Belgium waffles and Aloha legendary Lemonade. They have these mason jars that you can purchase and might well use it in your daily life. I love the layout how homey it is. It made the experience feel Ohana. As you look around you see different seating areas such as picnic tables. I enjoy eating places like this because it feels casual. You can easily miss this place because the entrance looks like someone’s house or backyard. Customer service was great! The staff took care of us by refilling our drinks and ask how we were doing. Had a great experience and would highly recommend this spot!

After a month of craving these waffles, I finally got to try them. When I saw their Facebook post stating that they would be «secretly» opening on Sunday I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Make sure you pay close attention or you’ll drive right passed it. Hidden between a laundry mat this place makes for a unique eating experience. They have old stadium chairs to sit on and even a cute little wagon that my daughter loved. We sat next to the tiny stage which had a cute little christmas tree. My husband and I both decided to try the number seven, a sweet and savory waffle topped with goat cheese, avocado and candied bacon for $ 7.99. Our daughter had the original with pow(powdered sugar) for $ 4 or 2 for $ 7. I am not a fan of breakfast at all, I dislike pancakes and am not a fan of eggs or bacon. My typical breakfast consists of a protein shake, coffee or greek yogurt topped with some granola. I like a very light breakfast. I was hesitant at first about getting the number seven but had seen so many good reviews. I was completely amazed when I took a bite of the bacon. You see, its not regular old bacon. This bacon is sweet and savory and crisped to perfection. The goat cheese and avocado made for a nice creamy spread and the dough based waffle was everything I expected. The portions are small, which is just right for me but it did leave my husband asking, «Okay. So what are we having for breakfast?» My daughter is in her picky eating stage but we didn’t have to coax her too much into trying this waffle. Pros: Kid friendly. Something for everyone. Fantastic lemonades served in mason jars. Cons: Parking. Hey, it’s North Park. It’s to be expected.

Wow Wow Waffles! The hype is real my friends. REALMUCHWOW. Blink and you’ll miss this place. Nestled alongside the Laundromat on 30th, all you can see from the street is what looks like a lemonade stand for wow wow waffle. Find parking on the street and make your way to the lemonade stand to order. The menu online is not the full menu, so we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had waffle sandwiches! We were hoping to add some protein to our carb laden breakfast. Loaded with coffee, my husband and I led our dog to the back of their eating area. We passed stadium seating, a skateboard retrofitted into a bench and some regular picnic benches surrounding regular dining tables. This place is so eclectic and perfect for North Park. Much Wow! The waffles came out quick piled on with the fixings. The whipped cream isn’t any canned stuff; this is homemade cream whipped to bliss. I was shocked by how delicious the meatball sandwich came out! It’s a perfect savory delight when you don’t want the sugary mess from a regular waffle. I’ve heard they’ve pulled back their waffle line from Hawaii, focusing on only the lemonades. I’m not a huge fan of lemonade, so this doesn’t bother me. However, I would be really disappointed without the waffles in Hawaii! They’re totally missing out! What’s NOT missing? the aloha spirit! They might be mainland born, but each person working here not only LOVES their job, but they are active participants in the north park community. If I could insert a meme… picture a Corgi… wait for it… MUCHWOW
