Sfrentnow is a great leasing company, I called and found an apartment within hours and moved in the next day. Their properties are great and I was told they’re always ready if they’re on the market. James Porter was my leasing agent and he did an amazing job of making sure I got to move in immediately and he found me the PERFECT beautiful new home!

Update: beware of sketchy/fake reviews in this same page. There are many reasons not to live in this property, so I’ll enumerate them but I’ll try to be quick. This is my experience from living here for 1 year. — Constant noise nuisance: the walls that separate the apartments are paper thin, but that’s not the problem. The problem is that there are parties every single day of the week, non-stop, at any hour, with total disregard of other tenants. The management company in charge of the building, Greentree /SFRentnow, has a policy of doing absolutely nothing in these cases. I was told by the building’s supervisor that I should get a white noise machine to mask the noise. — Building in bad conditions: the whole building, from the entrance to the roof, is in a terrible condition. The carpets are stained and smell weird, the lights have been out for months, and it’s very, very dirty. The apartments are patched and«cleaned» one tenant after the other, without fixing basic things, ending with broken windows, leaks, humidity, and scratched/stained floors. — Unsafe elevator: the elevator of the building is unsafe and should be put out of order. The elevator must be from 50⁄60 years ago, and while opening and closing it the handles will generally come off. Chopping a finger is actually not that hard. — No maintenance: this is kind of redundant to the previous points, but neither the supervisor nor the management company do anything to maintain this building even to basic standards. It’s just not worth it. The rent is high even to Nob Hill standards and there are plenty of very decent buildings in the neighborhood, under the same rent scale, that are much better to live in. This building is a product of a market where the demand for apartments is very high and management companies don’t need to maintain their buildings properly in order to compete. Lastly, my move out was as rocky as my stay. The supervisor made up a «smoke smell» in my apartment and argued that the cleaning state was not good enough(the apartment was spotless and much cleaner than the filthy state I was given the apartment in). I was deducted a cleaning fee from my deposit. Just don’t move here. You’ll regret it.
