I want to thank Helen. She was polite, friendly and got my my dad and me out of there in less than 20 min. These are the people that make me come back to AAA. Thank You, Helen and I hope you will be there next time I need some help.

AAA or any auto insurance for customer service is a fat hit or miss.
My last experience with AAA was a relatively positive one. I needed proof that my name was on the insurance, and the agent on the phone was kind enough to send it via e-​mail within 5 minutes and even followed up on it. His customer service was excellent and if I could, I would rate him 5 stars.
However, what I don’t understand is why AAA now has simple paper as insurance cards. it makes the AAA image feel so cheap when they’re the most expensive insurance around. Might as well be paperless and charge people less.
Negative experiences almost always happens when I actually go in to AAA to talk to an agent. The mood of the people there are terrible. Not to be sexist, but most desk people in the department are women, and when you talk to them, its feels as if you personally ran over their beloved dog that morning before you saw them.
Anyways, 3 stars instead of 1 for the last positive customer service experience. Please hire and screen for friendlier but still as knowledgeable department workers, maybe some people that actually appreciate a job.

My family purchased a new car on the 8^th and were told that day by our agent to come in when we could to talk over a couple of things.
Today, the 10^th, we walked in and saw that there were two people ahead of us waiting to see the agent. We asked the receptionist whether it’d be a long wait and whether it would be better to come back at a later time. She said that it would be a quick wait, that we would be next after the two people who were waiting ahead of us. Seemed more than fair, so we waited.
Fast forward a couple minutes, the agent is done with the two ahead of us. At the same time, a large group of people walk in. The agent walks to the group and asks them what they need. My mother tells the agent that we were here first, thus we should be helped first. The agent then has the nerve to tell us, «I don’t need to work with you. You can go to someone else instead.»
We are now looking at either a new agent or another insurance company altogether.
How dare you disrespect my mother (or anyone else’s mother) like that.

I am Very dissatisfied with the services here.
I have been paying for insurance for several years. They only thing i have ever received from AAA is denials on legit claims. I was recently told that my vehicle was not covered after I have been paying premiums on it for the last two years. There is no customer service and the insurance coverage is sub par.
Please improve. I will look elsewhere for coverage.

The tow truck didn’t show up for 2hr and 20mn. I lost appointment with auto repair shop, got super late for my work. They first told me it will take 50mn then 20 mn then 40 mn & so on. They don’t reimburse if I order another tow truck. They can make me wait all day and all they told me was «Do you want us to cancel the truck?».

Needed to update my vehicle registration. Got it done. Easy and quick, or at least relatively quick.
There was a short wait but it was absolutely nothing like it would have been if I’d gone to the actual DMV. The guy in front of me did one of those exasperated sighs that one does when things are taking too long, but seriously it was only a few minutes wait. He probably had some Taco Bell food waiting in his car or something.
I used my waiting time to assemble my payment, have my papers ready, and bashfully eavesdropped on someone helping a lady over the phone with her travel plans. Super friendly people!

If you need DMV services DO NOT go HERE
This is the 2^nd and last time the DMV service person made my life very difficult. Go to the Potrero office they are VERY helpful and knowledgeable. These guys just stare at the screen and give you the wrong info. They do not know how to use the system. My issues are to long and involved to get into but they could have EASILY been resolved if the guy (wish I knew his name) would have had some training or maybe some customer service skills. Instead it caused me to waste my time and energy and drive across town for someone to help me. The manager was conveniently off today but he will hear from me next week.

Great customer service starting with the greeter and ending with membership services. I went in for vacation planning and couldn’t ask for friendlier or more efficient service.

Absolutely horrible service. I’ve been a premier AAA member for years and can’t believe how unorganized and incapable the DMV staff is here. My visit for something so simple took the same amount of time as going to DMV! I thought the whole point was to save you time! And note to staff… don’t stand around in front of customers and complain about how you haven’t had your break! This was my first and last time here. I plan to write a letter to AAA given how much I pay each year for services which I rarely use I should have better customer service!

Not saying that I’m a total bridezilla (I’m really not) or a control freak, but I have to totally give a shoutout to Nataliya Bankova — she’s the travel specialist at this AAA branch. And coming from a girl who always SCOURS the interwebz for the best travel deals (we made it to DC for like, $ 385/​person including hotel and airfare for 5 days last year) and never uses any pro travel services, this is a big deal.
In between planning my wedding and transitioning to a new job (bye corporate finance! And HELLO MY OWN PERSONAL LIFE AND HOBBIES), the last thing I wanted was to plan my honeymoon. My fiancé wanted to go to countries I’ve already been, and I wanted to go somewhere where neither of us have been so it would be a new experience for both of us. The other hitch was that our wedding was in June, and the two places that we REALLY wanted to go to, S. Africa and Antarctica, had travel season in their summer, which would be our winter, and we didn’t want to wait 6 months to take our honeymoon.
So I tried to do some of the planning on my own. I wanted to see more than just one country in 2 weeks, so we figured we could join some kind of tour, where we wouldn’t have to worry about transportation between countries, hotels, etc. I don’t have time or patience to scour out each country’s list of must-​sees, so when we saw an Adventures by Disney vacation to Prague, Germany and Austria, we were both thrilled — it seemed to have a GREAT itinerary (pretzel-​making class!!! DONE), so I went to AAA to see what kind of sweet deals they could give us, since we’re members.
We also told Nataliya that we wanted to tack on a side trip to Paris for a few days before or after the tour, and she recommended going prior to the tour, since we’d be wiped out after 10 days of journeying through central Europe. She also gave us suggestions and brochures to check out European river cruises, but we went ahead and told her to book the Disney one for us. She said it would be great, since normally people don’t bring small children to central Europe, and we would be going at a beautiful time of year.
Happily ever after, until she told us a few days later that the date we wanted was completely sold out. So, in a pinch, I asked her to look into the Galapagos tours for us. She found one that we wanted, AND kept a lookout for a date closer to our wedding, which she was able to find. She told me that she would hang onto the spot for us because it had just opened up on the waiting list, and once we got back to her she would book it.
We have no complaints about working with Nataliya. She’s made the honeymoon planning process so seamless, and we can’t wait to go on our trip. She even offered to send me a replacement AAA card (I’m pretty sure I accidentally threw it away, thinking it was my old expired one). I’m so glad my membership benefits are paying off!

This office gives poor service. Try and renew your annual DMV registration with the
First window lady and she will give you a hard time. My wife is a member and her car is registered with her name and mine. My wife was in ER and I tried to renew her 2013 DMV Registration for her with her membership card. She refused and I told her that my wife is in the hospital. I was a member for many years I quit because it only cost me $ 1.96 per month with USAA for the roadside services. We never use any of the maps as we have GPS. There is always a Long line and their attitude is that they are doing you a great favor. I will tell my wife to quit AAA after being with them since 1984 and I will inform my 3 children to quit AAA.

This review is for the fantastic claims adjuster I worked with through their Nevada office. I got into an accident yesterday driving down the block from where I live. The other car drove right into me. I could hardly breathe. I was hysterical being the first time in an accident. I called AAA and they started the claim process. I called the tow truck service and they arrived within 20 minutes. Although they arrived within the time given, the autobody shop they suggested was already closed. The driver was kind enough to drive me and the car home. It was quite an awkward situation being that I got into an accident with people living on the same block as I do. Anyway, Krista from AAA called me and left me a message stating that she opened my claim and that I could call her in the morning to go over more details. Oh I forgot to say, I called the police and they refused to come out because no one was injured. Useless! So I called Krista this morning and within a few hours she was calling me back to say that the other insurance was going to cover all of the damages. What a relief for me as this crash was so bad that the car was not driveable. She really worked hard and fast to get this done for me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate what she did for me. She set me up for another tow, got me a rental car and I’m not liable to pay for any of the damages. I really like AAA. They stand up to their reputation.

It’s nice that they have an area that can do all your DMV needs, but I wouldn’t have DMV issues if they had been taken care of the correct way the first time. However, I appreciate the willingness to work with me on items and call me directly about issues.
I went in one time to work on something and my toll was running out so the guy I was working with gave me quarters to put in the machine. How thoughtful! It was really appreciated and made my experience totally different knowing that the agent was thoughtful enough to consider my parking needs.
But seriously, it’s really irritating when things get messed up by your insurance company and the customer has to spend hours getting it fixed.

I like my experience with AAA auto insurance, especially at this branch.
I needed a new policy quickly for a vehicle and was referred to an agent at the branch, Lifen Ng-​Thai. She was extrememly efficient and easy to work with. She pinpointed my needs and was able to work out a policy that met my expectations perfectly.
The best perk of this AAA branch is the mini DMV office they have located inside. I had several issues to deal with regarding DMV and the in-​house rep, Patrick, was very helpful and knowledgeable. What impressed me the most was you can tell Patrick actually cares about solving your issues and he went the extra mile with even the simplest forms of his service
I’m very thankful to have stumbled upon AAA for my auto insurance. The in-​house DMV office in itself is mind blowing and worth having them as your insurer!!!

I’ve been here a few times and have never been made to feel that I matter. Yes, I get maps from a machine and yes I eventually get a human to talk to but I’m not made to feel like I matter to them.

CSAA now officially sucks. Effective Oct 2011, they charge a $ 4 DMV fee. It use to be a service only to members only but now it seems to be a method to increase revenue.
Also, their travel consultant Nataliya is rude and crude. She helps you cause she has too but not in a polite way. She treats you in a demeaning manner.

When you speak to a representative here, be ready for interruptions. While in the middle of my conversation with this person, she picks up the phone not once, but twice! Never have I ever been at a AAA that lacked such consideration.

This office was once a dollar store, like it better when it was that. So came here asking about discounted tickets, a whole office with every desk filled with people just sitting there and still people waiting in the front and I had to wait for the cashier just to have them tell they can’t help.

A+ insurance rating, according to the insurance industry rating.
The people at AAA are nice. Just signing up for the AAA membership saved me HOURS from lining up at the crazy DMV office. That alone is worth it.
Of course I always need maps since I don’t own a GPS.

I get my car insurance with Sue. She’s the nice lady sitting in front. Tell her i referred you, maybe I get a free key chain or something.

Did you know they offer property insurance? They are one of the best. The contractor taking care of my flood and many other contractors know AAA has the best service: quickest and highest claim reinbursement.
I don’t recommend filing a claim if you don’t have to but you are well taken care of.
By the way, the only other place that offerred better property insurance is _​_​_​_​_​. It has an A-​. Email me and I’ll tell me, maybe I’ll get a referral fee… not sure if they do…
Farmers, State FArm, I tried them all, they don’t offer a better price… even with multi house, car etc… discount. Most people who have home insurance go with State FArm, not sure why but that’s seems like the most popular

If you don’t have AAA you, my friend, are an absolute fool. My boss got me AAA as a gift after I locked my keys into my friends car, while it was running (!!!) with my cell phone and wallet inside. BONED. I was hating life. A passerby called a locksmith for me… and a second. He reasoned that I would be better off that way. Okay, whatever.
Both locksmiths showed around the same time so I was out not one, but two locksmith fees. I showed up late for work, My boss asked if I had AAA. I told him no. He looked at me and told me that was stupid. He then told me to purchase myself a AAA membership, on his dime, and to purchase the good one. From that day I have been a AAA Plus member.
Fast forward two months later. I bought Siouxsie, my motorcycle. Five days later some A-​hole knocks her over outside of Whole Foods and drives off. My clutch lever was busted off so I wasn’t going anywhere. I called AAA. They sent a truck and we towed her to my warehouse. Yes, AAA covers motorcycles.
Today, I ran out of gas (yes, I am hanging my head in shame and will not make that mistake again). Once again, AAA came to my rescue.
I compare AAA to that family member you can call who will drop everything or roll out of bed in their pajamas to come bail you out for free. Except AAA doesn’t lecture you afterward and you don’t owe them anything. Both times I would have been out at least $ 50. Instead, AAA picked up the tab which made the trauma of my bike getting knocked over and the embarrassment of running out of gas a lot easier to take.
I love AAA so much that I purchased a gift membership, from this store, for my mom. I will NEVER let my AAA membership lapse. It’s already proved itself invaluable. By the way, my mom’s card showed up three business days after I bought her membership. That’s totally awesome. I feel good knowing that, should her car break down, she’s covered. My mom lives on SSDI and a $ 200 tow would cost about a third of what she gets each month.
What can I say, AAA has been really good to me. It’s made my introduction to motorcycling a lot less painful… and a lot less expensive.

I’m not even a customer of AAA but after the experience I went through, I’ll never be a customer.
The night before, my boyfriend was driving me back to san jose and all of a sudden, his axle broke off and we had to pull to the side of the road. It was around 10pm at night and there were no signs on I-​280 to tell us where we were. I definitely did not want to walk a couple miles to find a sign either. Boyfriend has AAA insurance. We tried to call AAA for towing and because we could pinpoint our location, they told us to call CHP so that they can locate us. We did and when we finally called back AAA, they sent over a tow truck but took two hours. The truck that did eventually arrive, could not tow us because the car was too low, even though we specifically mentioned the car was low.
The guy told us to call back AAA but AAA could not help? They said no tow trucks were available in the area to help us? The tow truck guy told us to call our own tow truck… THAT’S WHAT YOU’RE HERE TO DO. Mind you that we’re stuck at midnight on I-​280 with no where to turn. Finally, after randomly calling towing companies, we finally got ahold of one and boy did he relieve us. He told us how it was BS how AAA screwed us over and that we should be refunded in full for all the charges of an outside tow truck since they couldn’t help. He was nice and definitely helpful.
Next day, we went to AAA to report it and to try to get reimbursed for the $ 400 tow from Vista Point to SF. The man was not helpful at all! He did not even show empathy for the night we endured. I was pissed. That is the very reason I would never be their customer. Though it wasn’t specifically his fault that we were stuck on the road that late at night, he could have done more.
However, my boyfriend continues to use AAA and our other experiences were not as bad though that first visit I had, it will never cease to be forgotten.
