Adobo Roll-O

I had the pork adobo (pork ribs to be exact) at a recent event at the SF Food Bank — a number of food carts were there and I was pretty full by the time I picked up the pork adobo and coconut rice from her cart.
This dish was incredible. Easily the best thing that I had there (and there were plenty of very tasty items — Soul Cocina’s posole was excellent). The pork was incredibly tender, fell right off the bone, and melted in my mouth. The sauce that came with it was exceptionally flavored — nuanced, but with a bright assertive acidity along with a strong dose of ginger and garlic. The rice, oft ignored, was also outstanding — I could have eaten it alone it was such good rice.
I hope to try her creations again — I believe she is on twitter (I’m twitter-​phobic but working on it). I also had a delectable rice treat from Asian Street Sweets — which was sharing a table with her.
