I.love.bacon. Who doesn’t?! And if you don’t, you’re just crazy in my book. Anywho, these chips are utterly the most decadent savory snack food evar. to me, at least. Each chip so full of bacony goodness flavor and the bits of crunch salty bacon bits. Scrumptious! The best thing is no added salt. Just the tasty saltiness of the bacon. Shelf life is short. not that it’s a problem, because we go through it so quickly! Definitely a must try, but I warn you. you will get addicted. Headed to Bi-Rite in two weeks to get my supply refilled. I *really* think they need to sell some of that stuff down here in SJ. I know I can order them online. but that’s no fun :) I want it readily available for my munching happiness! Verdict: 5 star winnar!

My son is a bacon fanatic, so he zeroed in on the bacon potato chip guy the first time I took him around the carts. They are handmade and contain no artificial flavors, which I think makes it a good snack. He is hooked.

Beep beep beep beep beep… newsflash!!! WYD bacon potato chips has gone retail… now available online, no need to chase him around the city. Yay! It was $ 3, then came a $ 5 version, it’s now $ 25 online(5 bags) — plus shipping(???) and handling($ 1). BUT u can save 20 cents when u buy 10 bags. OMG, imagine all the things u can buy for 20 cents, wait, nevermind. Notes: if u ever to go to Canada, they have«Old Dutch» brand bacon potato chips for less than $ 3(8 oz. bag), same in the UK under the«Walkers» brand of potato chips. *********************************** UPDATE on 10⁄14: a more cost effective alternative is now available to locals and visitors. Now u can buy WYD bacon potato chips at Pal’s Takeaway(in addition to items like Crème Brulee and Gobs).

Yusssss. Delicious! What else is there to say? Bacon chunks making love to my freshly handmade potato chips? Really nice guy who sold them to some drunk Roller Derby Girls riding ice slabs down hills in Dolores park? Awesome said guy coming to Roller Derby Bout with more mouth watering supply?! BACONTATERCHIPS??? I digress. They are crispy, bacon flavored(not in an artificial way) and a little salty from the bacon goodness. They go great with beer and shield your body from hard liquor(for a short period of time). There really are bacon chunks in there– it’s like Lucky Charms… Do you eat the marshmallows with the cereal, save them for last, or pick them all out first? Only it’s BACON. The only minus is that they are void of nutritious content. But so is Whiskey– I’m not cutting back any time soon.

I’ve been tracking the Baconator for some time now, almost trekking the one block from my place to Dolores Park for a bag of his magic chips. However I’m a lazy bastard on my weekends(despite not having a job, heh) and don’t want to have to compete with others for the chips. Finally it dawned on me — -sending bacon to my husband at work as he’s sent flowers to me in the past. Let’s face it — -guys love bacon. Imagine your man getting some fan-effing-tastic bacon laden chips DELIVERED to his office, say during a tense meeting. What can’t be solved with bacon? And who’s gonna be the most popular guy in the office??? Funny enough, Mister B deemed his colleagues unworthy and brought all of the chips home after work. Funnier yet is the fact that we’ve downed 2 bags already. I would describe them thusly: perfectly crisp, not too greasy, a tease of bacon saturated in the chip and crispy lil’ bits of porcine perfection at the bottom of the bag. Mister B says they are like«the best potato skins ever.» And here’s a tip for y’all — -these puppies go great with sour cream mixed with chives and garlic salt. Order some today, but be sure to get your friends hooked by giving them«the first one free,» so you don’t have to go on Lipitor

I bought a bag of the bacon potato chips at the street cart gathering on Aug 7 in front of the Mission Pool. The chips were absolutely delicious. Salty and smoky they were infused through out with the flavor of bacon. As If things couldn’t get any better, there were actual pieces of bacon with the chips. Tasty!

I had a chance to sample, then rap out with Bill from Who’s Your Daddy yesterday at 18 Reasons. Cool guy, great story… and seriously good potato chips. I grabbed one of his cards, and he calls himself a ‘Bacontrepreneur.’ That made me chuckle. The amazing thing is that he’s only been in business for a little over a month, but he’s already making waves in this emerging street food industry. He’s been written up in SF Weekly, Daily Candy, and a few more. Gotta love it. He makes the chips at home with real bacon in ‘em! Each one literally comes with a piece of bacon, and flavored bacon chunks scattered throughout the bag(though, most of them collect at the bottom of the bag). They’re insanely good, and he also makes the potato chips fresh that day. Whenever you buy a package of his chips, you know they’ve been cooked up only hours before. The only reason that I can’t give him 5 stars right now is that the packaging really does need some work. He knows that, and I hope he figures out the right formula sooner than later. It’s vacuum sealed in a plastic bag currently, and the porous plastic allows air in, causing the chips to taste a little wonky if it sits out for longer than 12 – 16 hours. So, if you buy some, eat them right away for the best taste. You’re probably wondering where to buy them, huh? Well, you can find him slinging bags of potato chips every weekend in Delores Park. They cost anywhere from $ 3-$ 5 a bag, and it’s a nice compliment to the Truffle Guy, as you might work up a mad case of the munchies after eating delicious weed confections on a lazy Sunday in The Mission.

These bacon potato chips are soooooo good they should be illegal. They are really bacon-y, crunchy, heavenly. They are a party in your mouth. Where can I find more?

Some serious good crunch factor here. Not overly oily even with the presence of bacon. And the bacon seasons the chips so perfectly. The chips were not burnt, which could easily happen from a home kitchen. Sure it’s greasy and sure you will lose 1 year of your life eating just one bag of this, but it’s worth it! One flaw… packaging. If Daddy Bacon could come take some time to fill up his ziplock baggies with more air, it would avoid more crushed chips. Hope he comes up with some flavored chips… paprika? brown sugar sprinkle? sweet potato?

These are some awesome bacon chips. I just had them for the first time on Friday — apparently completely hand-made; fried in bacon; with bacon on the side!
