Decent sandwich selection. They even had two types of banh mi, but I opted for The Cubano. Good portion and I was full afterward. I knew the sandwich would have pickles, but not as much it did. I ended up picking it out. Nice clean space, there’s small individual tables and there’s a communal table in the centre.

Stopped in at 12:30 on a weekday and was happy to see that it wasn’t too crowded! They have a great selection of hot and cold, veg and meat sandwiches. I did the brussel sprout one as a salad and it was great. Hubby had the tuna melt, also great. The pastries are also super hard to pass up… Good place for a fast, delicious lunch!

The soft roll they use for bread is really good. I had the Grec, and it was simple and flavorful. The service was friendly. The communal table was surprisingly less awkward than it looked.

OK, sandwiches are good. Too small maybe and too expensive(8 $ for a grilled cheese?!). I loved the venue tho.

If you love sandwiches you’ll instantly fall in love with this place! They serve porchetta, cubano, chicken greco, banh mi, and more! Seriously, it’s like all my favs in 1 spot! This is the greatest hits of sandwiches! We ordered the porchetta and cubano with a side of Brussels sprouts. Slices of pork with crunchy skin enveloped in housemade bread — who can resist?! The porchetta was amazing but the 1 thing I wish they would do is warm up the bread. Although, this place had a decent queue and it took maybe 15 – 20 mins to get our food so warming up the bread would’ve taken even longer. The cubano was good too but either the pickle or mustard was slightly over powering. The rotisserie brussel sprouts were delicious but they went a little heavy handed with the parmesan and white sauce that resembled mayonnaise. Overall, I would definitely come back and try their other sandwiches like chicken greco and of course, a separate order of porchetta so I can save for snack

First time in this place and I loved the open ambience. My friend and I started off with the Oatmeal cherry toffee cookie because starting with dessert is the way to live a good life! It did not disappoint… it was a perfect blend of crispy yet chewy and moist goodness. I’d get some more for sure :) For the entrée… I had the Tuna Melt sandwich and Tomato Bisque soup and my friend had grilled cheese with mushroom and the same soup . The flavor was definitely all there but I gave it a 3 star rating because the soup was served COLD! :(

Not to be confused with the actual b. patisserie(which is actually right down the street)!! b on the Go seems like a sister shop to some degree. There is a small selection of baked goods — mostly cookies and similar pastries — but they also serve sandwiches. No kouign amanns though :( Last time I was here, I decided to get two things just for myself — an arlette and a cannele. The arlette was described to me as a flat kouign amann, which convinced me right away. I would say that description is fairly accurate. It is a large flat crisp, essentially just the crispy outer layer of a kouign amann with caramelized sugar. It was delicious, but I did miss having the balance of the crispy outer later together with the light airy inside of a regular kouign amann. The cannele was interesting. I had never had anything quite the same before. It was not too sweet and almost a drier version of a bread pudding. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cannele personally but it was decent. I didn’t try any of the sandwiches, but pastry-wise I would probably just stick with b. patisserie next time.

I finally got to try the cheese melt and wasn’t disappointed. The bread was my favorite part: fresh and not at all oily like many other cheese melts. The combination of 3 cheeses and mushrooms was great. Skip the shrubs – a drink they make in house! I ordered it with guava favor and it tasted a bit like vinegar. I couldn’t even drink it & felt awful…

After indulging at their other store half a block a way, we decided to have an actual meal after just having sugar. The service was great, the girl by the cash register(who was very patient as i admired everything) and the guy making the sandwiches. I got the cold sandwich with chicken, yogurt sauce and cucumber. It was the perfect size, they didn’t skimp on meat, and it was super flavorful. I definitely want to come back and try more of their sandwiches.

Sister to B. Patisserie and not as packed. Their chicken grec is filled with yogurt goodness. Didn’t get it and was looking at the person across from at the communal table, munching down one. The yogurt sauce was dripping downwards onto the tray. It was superbly eye-ogling. This place is much more laid back compared to their B. patisserie. Appreciate it for its more open availability and freshness of sammies. They only do drip coffee compared to espressos at its original place. If you’re not picky, then go for it. A spot on café shop to take it to go or simply chill with what you got.

Standing in line and and all i can do is stare at the rotisserie chicken spinning over a layer of potatoes. Crispy potatoes with chicken drippings? Yes, you need to come here. I’m a big B. Leong fan. B. Patisserie is my go to and one of my favorite spots in the city. B on the Go is just a quick walk over and it has the same friendly vibe. The greek inspired Chicken Grec is delicious. Just enough tang, savory moist chicken and refreshing veggies. Of course, you’ll be tempted by a few select baked goods by the cash register. It’s not what i consider a small place but it’s popular and you’ll have to cross your fingers for a seat during lunch hour.

3.5 stars I guess I set my expectations too high. Their savory food is definitely not up to par considering this place has the same owner as b. Patisserie across the street. Maybe it’s not fair to compare them because BP is insanely good. Anyway, I’ve tried the chicken grec and grilled cheese with mushrooms. Both good, but not mind-blowing. The menu on the wall is simple — I think there are about 8 different sandwiches. I’d come back to try the porchetta next(even though I’m almost certain that it cannot beat Roli Roti’s), but only if I’m already in the area.

Just got a porchetta sandwich to go and the amount of fat on it was inexcusable. I spoke with the manager who was very apologetic and gracious. She offered me a refund but I can no longer recommend this place. Very unfortunate.

I came for a late brunch having stopped by the sister b. patisserie for some grab and go pastries to bring here. The menu is simple and not overloaded, a couple of fairly conservative takes on classic sandwiches. The baked goods here are different and simpler than the flagship bakery. As a Viet person, banh mi isn’t the same outside of a hole in the wall setting and doesn’t quite ring right with high quality meats(cha lua is usually some mystery meat) or ingredients. b.‘s take on it a simple, tasty sandwich that isn’t a California fusiony watered down version. You can also get the sandwiches as a salad for $ 1 extra. Chicken salads are as basic an item you can get, but b. is one of my favorite in SF. Rotisserie chicken was juicy, flavorful, perfect yogurt tzatziki sauce, right about of greens and other stuff. The only thing I would change were the tomatoes were those pulpy neutered flavorless kind that you throw on burgers. Had it been heirloom or more flavorful, it would have been the perfect salad. Love that the salad option is there to balance out the carb overload from the baked goods at the neighboring patisserie if you’re as gluttonous as I am made stops at both :) I went at a slow time but impressed by the fast service. The food was out almost immediately after ordering. Props for that. Communal table, sunny atmosphere, nice service, pretty good price for a solid lunch or brunch option. I wouldn’t go out of the way to come here the way that I would for b. patisserie, but would definitely come again when I’m in Lower Pac.

Wanted to go here for so long to try their sandwiches! I really anticipating their Cubano(after watching The Chef!) and porchetta sandwiches. The décor of the joint was very cool with their mix-and-match design. Felt like I was in some Parisian café. We ordered the two sandwiches mentioned above, an Orangina, an Arlette, and a chocolate Pot de crème. The Cubano was very good… loved the crispyness of its ciabatta bread! The flavor was pretty good too, but choosing between the two, I really liked the porchetta better. The porchetta had so flavor and I love the crispy skin!!! NOM!!! Definitely a must try! The Arlette and chocolate pot de crème pastries were AMAZINNNGGGG!!! The arlette tasted like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch! Oh and that pot de crème… that was heaven. This place did not disappoint! Their brussel sprout and anchovy sandwich sounds interesting and delicious… that’s the next sandwich I’m anticipating!

Met a friend for lunch and it was delicious — we both had tuna melts, mine with side salad and hers with roasted potatoes. The food was outstanding, simple, fresh, light. I’m sure people will complain that the portions aren’t large. I loved the reusable cups and cutlery — thank you!!! I wish there was a shade in the front window so we weren’t in the sun… that’s all. I’ll be back :)

The food and service were perfect. It is 2 blocks away from my house but only open for lunch. The double whammy of my diet for my wedding in less than 30 days, and being away on most weekends has barred me from this experience. Today is a Sunday and I was in SF and I felt like I needed a little treat. The Chronicle waxed poetic about the grilled cheese, so that was what I ordered. It was small(but that works for the diet) but the mushrooms were savory and plentiful, the bread was crispy and not greasy, the cheese was fully melted. Quite a little treat this place was… I am dying to try the greek chicken and the porchetta sandwiches next. The service is very sweet and earnest. They want you to enjoy their food.

Noelle’s Unilocal Notebook 2015 I’m in love… with B. on the Go and B. Patisserie — whom I love more, I cannot decided as they both are equally amazing in their own right :) Upon entering one will note: the delicious smell of food being cooked beautiful black and white floral patterned tiles one long wooden communal table gorgeous ceiling tiles(if you look up) one bright yellow mustard colored rotisserie oven freshly baked bread behind the glass partition I always order the porchetta sandwich sans the salsa verde(due to my cilantro allergy). The porchetta sandwich is comprised of the freshly made porchetta meat and leafy greens on freshly baked bread– the meat is seasoned well and is melt in your mouth delicious, there are crisy bits of the porchetta which is literally the icing on the cake. My toddler absolutely loves their ham and cheese sandwich. Other items my family & friends have ordered are the Chicken Grec, Cubano– which everyone has loved and given 5⁄5 Unilocal stars :) olive Oil Madelines are to die for 5⁄5 chocolate Cremeux is good 3.5÷5 lemon Sable Cookie 4⁄5 banana Panna Cotta 5⁄5(I’m allergic to bananas but my toddler love it!) peanut butter cookie 5⁄5(I’m allergic but my family and friends loved it!) oatmeal cookie 5⁄5(It contains nuts.(I’m allergic but my family and friends loved it!) chocolate chip cookie 5⁄5 one of the best I’ve had and I’m a chocolate chip cookie fan Customer service is outstanding all the time– they have handled my large orders for family and friends with grace and were quite efficient, all the while noting my allergies and making sure my order was correct. This is my go to spot for my most favorite sandwich ever– porchetta :) Noelle’s Notes Delicious sandwiches Great cold brew coffee Excellent customer service(Adrian you’re awesome!)

So excited to finally try B on the Go. If only they sold the kouign amann here too. Seating here is limited and at a communal table. We all came here after our workout. He and I shared the Porchetta and the chicken grec sandwiches. Others got a Cubano with a curry quinoa salad and a chicken grec with a cookie. Both sandwiches could have used a little more meat but were high quality. The porchetta($ 11.50) had bits of crisp skin and nice moist bits of pork, but the salsa verde was too sour. The salsa verde made me not want more than a few bites. Loved the bread it was served on too, it was just that dang sauce! I loved the Chicken Grec($ 10.50), it was served on a french roll filled with rotisserie chicken, herbed yogurt, onions, and lettuce and tomato. Had a bite of the curry quinoa salad, it was nice and light. I would definitely get this if I wanted something really light to tide me over. Friendly and quick service. If the Porchetta’s salsa wasn’t so sour then I think it could be on par with Roli Roti’s or Split Bread’s. Prices are a little up there, but then again, it’s expected. 4 stars for now. Can’t wait to try other things here, the menu is limited, but it seems like they may be adding things or experiment as well.

I’m so excited to see that my California street fav b. Patisserie has added a kitty-corner lunch location. They’re serving delicious sandwiches, I had their excellent chicken grec(chicken with yogurt, cucumbers, etc). They’ve also got some unique-to-this-location baked goods, but it seems designed to go with their lunch offering rather than be an additional outlet for their bakery. Today was their second day, which meant I didn’t have to brave much of a line. Go now before the crowds find out!
