I can’t imagine a better experience than we had with Sarah! We hired her to re-​do our family room (which was very taupey and filled with old dark furniture that looked dated and terrible). She is just a joy to deal with: smart, warm, detail-​oriented, responsive. She really «got» us and what we were looking for (something fresh, modern, and comfortable in white/​blue/​gray tones that would still be practical for our two young sons, and we didn’t want to go too «high end» on any one item). We loved her design ideas and appreciated that she gave us a range of options for each item. She was super communicative throughout, with great follow-​up as we waited for the items to come in. She was really helpful in tracking down vendors for the various parts (fireplace, drapes, etc). Now, the room is done and its just beautiful. Best of all, we have all this gorgeous, custom-​made furniture in great fabrics for the same price (or less) as what we would pay at Room and Board. I’ve gotten so many compliments. We are planning to work with Sarah again as we tackle other rooms – she is the best!

Sarah is a bright & shining light in the tricky world of interior designers. With no ego, and a vast point of reference, Sarah helped turn around several homes I managed from empty and lonely space to warm rooms filled with personality that a person would actually want to hang out in. enlisted Sarah’s help when I decided to do a hard reset of my Victorian flat.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sarah’s approach. First of all, she is a great collaborator. She met with me and really listened to what I wanted to accomplish. She then brought together a proposal which was creative, true to my taste, and very affordable. But also took me into areas I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. As part of this process, we actually changed rooms purposes and moved my dining room to a smaller second parlor which opened up the larger former dining space to become a a more casual reading/​entertaining/​office space for myself.
I really believed she cut out weeks out of the process by bringing to me perfect selections of furniture, rugs, paint, wallpaper, etc. She also recommended a great craftsman and company that actually rebuilt an in-​wall china cabinet to exact specifications as well as a painter who I am astonished with his finished product. The bathroom she designed for me continues to get rave reviews. dramatic and unexpected.
In the end, I had more than a hard reset of my flat. I really have now a flat that reflects my taste, is true to the vision, and one I love coming home to.
And lastly, Sarah is an absolute joy as a person. She really made this entire process a whole lot of fun.
And I continue to bring Sarah back for additional work. We are now working on some shades for my two front parlors that, under Sarah’s guidance and creative verve, will be showstoppers. She really is the best…

Sarah is just a god-​send. People say that if certain skills are not your specialty, instead of wasting time tootling with it yourself, hire someone. Well that was a big «duh-​moment’ for me and my boyfriend. We are the creative types — design and photography but large spaces are not our specialty and I couldn’t wrap my head around what to do first. Luckily Sarah was there.
I called her up during construction of our small but cute marine apartment and first asked her for a quick assessment of colors to paint each room. She pulled out her trusty swatches and began working. In four blinks she picked out the best looking paint for my simple criteria (cozy, ‘glowy’ and warm). She even had a super idea of working WITH not AGAINST the crazy blue bathtub in the bathroom, leftover from the 70s. She suggested painting the celling a lighter color blue to be like the horizon… beautiful idea.
Her second visit was all about working with my boyfriend’s ideas and trying to please us both — which she did seamlessly. She wrote… rather SKETCHED the whole living room and hallway area out for us so we wouldn’t forget anything!
Follow-​up was perfect and throughout the whole process, didn’t «nickel and dime» us.
What more could you ask for? Quick. Experienced. Reasonable. Perfect.

Sarah helped us turn our bedroom into what we hoped it could be. She was great to work with and I would use her again in a heartbeat. She’s pleasant, she listens, and she has great ideas.
She worked with some of the design elements in our room and brought us several different options that went well with the things we wanted to keep. It was easy to choose something that we liked from what she presented us.
Her fees are very reasonable, and when you consider that she has access to discounts and manufacturers that the general public doesn’t have you’ll probably end up spending as much or maybe even less than had you done the work yourself. And if you’re really bad at shopping like we are, you’ll just end up with stuff that you hate and want to replace in 5 years anyway. Nothing is more expensive than that!

Sarah helped me envision my office in a way I would have never thought possible. Her recommendations for furnishings and layout totally fit my style and budget, providing me with a beautiful and comfortable space in which to work.

Wow! Sarah is amazing! She completely revolutionized the way I work in my office. I’m so happy with the work that she did for me!

I hired Sarah for a client, and we were incredibly pleased. At first the project was going to be one room, however it quickly increased to three rooms. She worked well within the budget. Meaning unlike other designers, Sarah respectfully did not try to upsell the client something they could not afford (or did not need). While money was of no concern with some details, it was necessary to pinch corners on other items. Sarah creatively found ways to incorporate the strived esthetic, while introducing pieces which were well outside the clients initial plan. We were impressed with her ability to repurpose and refurbish a few old pieces of furniture (credenza, display cabinet and a table) the client wanted to throw away.
Sarah is stylish, creative, upbeat, confident (not cocky), educated, modern (yet traditional), eclectic, green and hip to what is going on with design. We were thrilled with her work and would recommend her to anyone.
