Biltmore Hotel

Igor spitalnikov is the best land lord and building manager I have ever come across. He cares about your living conditions and improves any problem you may come across in your stay which rarely occurred. When my heater wouldn’t work Igor fixed it right away for me. This place isn’t a hotel anymore but has been renovated for studio apartments. They did a nice job making it modern. I would definitely recommend living here. I lived here for a year and a half or so but had to move out as I couldn’t afford it as a student any longer. Thank you Igor spitalnikov for being so hospitable to me during my time here. I hope we meet again! :)

P. S. All these photos are very outdated. Looks soooo much modern and better now just an FYI. Also– great location. Far enough away from tenderloin so you’re safe. And very close to Powell and union sq. financial district etc only took me less than 8 mins walk to get there.

have «friends» that stay at this Hotel and I’ve visited it many times. Egore, sorry that’s not the right Russian spelling, is a really great Hotel man clerk and all around nice guy.
He makes sure you get messages, the cab service to this Hotel is excellent and it’s very QUIET, a blessing in San Francisco, considering how there making it into Little HONG KONG dense you can’t believe it.
Having lived here 35 years plus I can speak well of the old Style Hotel that isn’t the Hilton, but neither are the over-​rated prices they charge you, just for the advertising budget, decent elevators always worked the past two years and a friendly staff and the guests seem to be on the right page too. Try it for yourself, it’s worth it.

I’m not surprised that there’s only 1 review for this place, despite it being fully booked almost year round.
That’s because there really isn’t much to say.
The rooms won’t keep you coming back but also won’t make you wanna leave. The internet goes slower than you want it to but faster than you need it. The service doesn’t leave you speechless but also doesn’t give you much to complain about.
The word mediocre was invented for this hotel.

Good place for the buck. I travel for extended periods of time and this is the perfect type of hotel for my needs. The place is close to the Union Square attractions along with the Powell Street BART nearby. A good choice for the budget traveler.
