Sweet Mother of Cows. Who makes this menu?! This is difficult for me because the service is outstanding. I’ve given this spot 3 honest tries! Today is the last day I will ever eat here. Let me start off again by saying that it was NOT the service. Everyone who works here is so friendly and seem to have a great dynamic among each other. The FOOD however… I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, medium-well with garlic fries. What I got was a bacon(count that one piece of bacon. somewhere in there.) cheeseburger, medium-rare, as bland, dry and raw meat tasting as you can imagine. Also noticed that Bistro Burger is anti-sauce… Dude. C’mon. Every burger joint has their own«special» or «secret» sauce. It’s what separates you from a cafeteria burger. You’re in the financial district, let’s step it up, yeah? I attempted to eat the $ 14 I spent but was unsuccessful because every bite made the experience that much worse. If you prefer bland, dry, and raw by all means. Bön appetit.

The food here is pretty good. I enjoy their Taco Salad with Beef a lot. It’s not as good with Chicken though. The Jalapeño Ranch is a little hot and tastes great and I think one container is enough for my preference. They give you two and most people probably use both containers. They have a number of burger varietals and their poultry and vegetarian options are great. My office likes their different types of burgers including the California Burger with avocado, jack cheese & sprouts, Paris Burger with brie cheese & mushrooms, Mediterranean Turkey Burger with spinach, feta & kalamata olives and California Veggie Burger with avocado, lettuce & tomatoes. They have fries, onion rings, frings and milkshakes. They even have Mexican food though we’ve never ordered off that menu. They basically have something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds and cravings. The service is inconsistent and sometimes they’re confused but we still like coming here.

Burger Bistro is conveniently located at almost every corner in the financial district making it an optima must try. In the 2 years that I’ve worked in FiDi, this was my first time trying this place. I mean, how do you choose? There are so many great places to go. One star for the convenience and one star for outdoor seating. Run of the mill burger joint. No frills or thrills about it and the food is mediocre to say the least. I opted for a salmon burger($ 10.95) which had a small piece of fish and was very bland and a small side of fries for($ 3.75) = $ 15 for lunch. Super Duper would have rolled over knowing I paid this much for a bland burger and fries. But at least I can say I tried it. I guess.

Located in an ally across from Wells Fargo. This place is your standard burger joint but with friendly prices for SF. They have specials on certain days but nothing to wait in line for.

Unbelievable. A simple grilled cheese went from 3.99(reasonable) to 7.50. And fries that aren’t that great are 5.50…OMG! No thank you. Not again

Food is fine. My issue with the place is that when I tried to squeeze the ketchup bottle at my table, it exploded on my shirt, jacket and face. This wasn’t because I had squeezed it too hard — it was because pressure had built up inside the bottle. I’m guessing it had fermented. The ketchup also had a strange, watery discoloration. Almost like a seeping wound. I asked for a manager, who came and told me that the same thing happened yesterday, and while he couldn’t pay to clean my jacket or give me a refund, he could offer me a free meal. I already had a meal sitting there, and didn’t want a second one. As an alternative, he offered to give me a half-filled frequent customer punch card. I didn’t understand why he could give me an entire meal now, but only half a meal later. When I pointed this out, he offered and gave me a fully-punched card. Not a positive experience, and I smell like ketchup. I’ll probably go redeem the card, though, because I’m an idiot.

Meh. Not impressed. For about $ 14 you get a classic burger, fries and a soda. I asked for medium, the patty was dry and bland. The fries were good. But sorry, the value for bucks ratio is not there. I know it’s the lunch rush, but somebody should wipe tables after each use. My table was not clean, and in the 25 mins I’ve been sitting here nobody went around cleaning tables. That’s just gross, sorry: O I will not be coming back

We were seated when only 3 other tables were in the place. We asked for a fried calamari appetizer and two cocktails. The calamari was over cooked served with a thimble sized sauce that was not only too small but not worth eating. I called the waitress over and asked for some tartar sauce, she left, went into the kitchen, and came back without my tartar sauce, then proceeded to sit at the next table across from us for several more minutes while our appetizer continued to get colder. I finally tagged her down, asked her to take the appetizer away. We were going to order two cajun pots, but she talked us into the combo for two. She never brought separate plates, and we only had a bread/butter plate and a fork. We asked for another plate and a knife to cut the sausage with. The knife never arrived until after we finished the sausage. We had to get up and ask the hostess for the bibs they usually provide. Our cocktails tasted like watered down flat cola… The butter for the crab legs was so salty it was a disgrace to the seafood. The cornbread balls were so over cooked they were like hockey pucks. I had to ask for the fries and hockey pucks twice before they arrived from two different servers. My husband was mad at me for even complaining… but as I spent 12 yearss waiting tables in early years, this service and food quality really frosted by butt!

It’s right around the corner, so when starved I might grab a burger and fries, but really pricey. Mex food is a better choice

Burgers? They are a 3. Then why did I give it a 4? Because the Mexican food is a clear five. And the enchiladas are a 10! Good hole-in-the-wall Mexican food that is 100% authentic. No, its not gourmet Mexican, its street Mexican. That is good enough, since Fondas only exit in the interior of Mexico, and we happen to be in San Francisco where the flavor of Mexico was killed off over 150 years ago. You can also come here for burgers. But why bother? Ok, if you have a protein craving. Then what they say is true: orders are whacky, sweet potato fries are browned despite a low sugar content, its like eating burgers out of a hot dog stand, etc. etc. etc.

The food here is fine, not amazing but not bad. The problem here is their customer service. Regardless of how many people are in the location, there always seems to be an issue. First time I went there, someone walked out with my order instead of their order and I had to wait another 20 minutes for them to re-do my order. Two weeks back, I ordered from them online through their website, which took my order and my money, only to arrive at this location to be told they were closing early per management and they didn’t prepare my food. When asked why I wasn’t called about this, no one had an answer. And when I stated I wanted my credit card refunded, I was told no one knew how to do that. After the third time of me telling them I’m not walking out of here without food or a refund in hand, they finally gave me a cash refund. I decided to give them one last chance today, and was yet again quite frustrated over the service I recevied. The cashier, Natalia, went out of her way to be rude. While waiting at the counter for my online order, a younger man running food asked my name, and when the order in his hand wasn’t mind, he placed it on their back counter. Natalia then came up to me and asked my name. Gave it to her and she went and grabbed the order the food runner had just put down. She handed it to me and I checked to make sure it really wasn’t my order, and no, it wasn’t mine order. Natalia then loudly stated«I asked your name, why did you say this was yours if it wasn’t». I told her she had my name wrong and I didn’t order her bad attitude along with my order. Rather than acknowledge her rude behavioral, she gave a dirty look my way. Because this company refuses to put their contact information on their website, I cannot go directly to them to deal with this issue. So you and your very unhappy employee Natalia get a lousy Unilocal!review and you lose a customer… which I’m guessing you could care less about.

Bistro Burger truly is only 3 stars… it is simply just ok. Pro Tip: If you want your burger cooked the way you requested, go after the«lunch time» rush and closer to closing time. It will be perfect. Any other time and you’ll get whatever they give you.

Poorly seasoned and rubbery meat, stale bread & freezer-burned fries. Bistro Burger just wrote the«How To» for screwing up the usually unscrewable combo. Save yourself 5 bucks and just go to McDonalds. It’ll be as good if not better.

What is it? Make-to-order Mexican foods and burger grill How? Order is taken(there’s a separate line for burgers from the Mexican items) Verdict: a pricy gourmet burger. Menu is ala carte. My California burger and side of curly fries was $ 14 without a drink. Burger was cooked perfectly and the avacado and sprouts was a nice touch. The burger could’ve used salt and seasoning. I ended up dipping it in ketchup

No. Nope. Nada. Will not be back. Over-priced, undersized(for the price), bland and undercooked for almost $ 10? Had to repeat order 3 times to get it right(with only 3 people in line?!), still wrong and to top it all off — soggy fries for an additional $ 3.25. a large«NOPE» to all of that. Officially off the list — do not recommend at all. Too bad — it’s a good concept, just really bad execution.

The portions seem smaller to me when I ordered the burger and fries. They charged me $ 2 extra for Gluten-free bun now? Did Management change recently? Overall the food taste good which is why I rate it a 3 star. I don’t think I will be going back due to the high price and extra charge for the gluten-free bun.

My order: Cheeseburger with jack cheese, no onions, cooked medium and a side of fries. This order was placed using their online system on their website, paid for by credit card online and the order was to be picked up by me in person. This place used to be run tighter than a Navy ship on high alert. I have no idea why they have been doing so poorly lately, but when I arrived at BB there was only one person ahead of me at the counter, yet the staff looked like deer in the headlights and seemed frantic. I told the cashier that I had placed an online order for pickup. She located it within a minute or so and handed it to me, then asked if I had paid. I told her«Yes, I paid online.» She acted surprised and told me that the payment system wasn’t working yesterday. I didn’t think much of it. When I returned to my office I discovered a few things about my burger: 1) The beef patty has shrunk since the last time I was there(I go a few times a year as a treat for myself). 2) There were indeed onions on the burger, so I removed them myself. 3) The beef they are using is not nearly as high quality as it was before. It was gritty and lacked flavor. What went wrong? How did this shop go from high alert Navy ship to a one-oared dingy flailing about in high seas? I would like to continue to give this local business my patronage, but I cannot if the food quality and service are this poor.

Really underwhelmed if not repelled. The burger was horrid. The service was slow at best. It took 24 minutes for my burger to be prepared. It was a to go order. I had to run back to my office in my work clothes to make a scheduled conference call. I wound up throwing half the burger in the trash… the beef was gristly, the promised side of mayo was nowhere to be found, after I specifically asked for it, the burger had onions on it, when I asked them to omit them. Should I go on? I don’t think a single burger to go is worth the time it takes to rail about it. Bottom line: if you like standing and waiting in an alley in the Financial District for simply hours, stop by Bistro Burger for stellar punctuality :-/. If you like asking for specific order exceptions or extras and not getting them, go to Bistro Burger. If you like gristly beef, cheap cheese, and stale lettuce, eat at Bistro Burger. If you want an edible burger, consider a fast food restaurant before you go to Bistro Burger.
