Closed temporarily, or permanently? Unilocal says they should be open, but they are closed, no hours posted on the door. I used to come here before the remodel(new owner?), but the erratic schedule meant always walking here & then going somewhere else(usually la Boulange, but now that is closed too). The only reliable neighborhood eatery seems to be crepevine, but I’d love a little bit of variety. One star for not posting hours; I’ll update if they do, too.

Low key and quiet café on Irving St in the Inner Sunset neighborhood. Tried their espresso and it tasted good. Plenty of space to relax or talk. Would certainly consider bringing a date here for its quiet atmosphere. Background jazz music gives it a nice touch. If low key is your style come here. If you don’t like the crowded Starbucks, the tight space at Beanery, then Blanc would be your choice.

Love this place for my weekly coffee treat! I love their Americanos and Lattes! Always down for local ingredients and small businesses!

We live in the neighborhood and we were excited to give this coffee shop a try. The coffee and desserts were ok, but the service was pretty horrible. The person serving wasn’t welcoming at all since the very beginning and got upset when he brought our order and we told him(in a very nice way) that we were missing a soy cappuccino. Needless to say, no need to go back having so many other friendly options around.

Going here is sort of a weird experience. The décor is very dark, formal and intense. I’ve walked past a number of times and felt like I wasn’t classy enough to go in, its just a coffee/tea shop but it feels like an expensive cocktail bar. Anyway once I worked up the nerve, I was happy about it. Lots of space(perhaps a bit too much), wifi and nice views of the passersby on Irving Street. My latte was good and served with sugar cubes; very cute! It was only a little bit more expensive than nearby coffee shops. I did not get any food so I cant speak to that.

Cute new café in the Inner Sunset. It’s a large space for a café and has very cozy seats and cute, minimalist décor. They serve coffee, tea, and breakfast items. Great place for some alone time or catching up with a friend.

Really wasn’t that exciting. Very, very over-priced and pretty mediocre. Tea kind of tasted like socks…

Was excited to experience this quirky tea shop. Unfortunately the server was rude and unapologetic about a confusing menu. Everyone in our group felt really uncomfortable.

Lovely little café in Inner Sunset. It’s very quiet and not very crowded. Definitely a great spot to read, draw, or get some work done(they have wifi). The drinks/food here is pretty expensive. I got a pot of flower tea(rose and jasmine I believe). They leave the tea pot on a candle so it stays warm at your table. Both the tea pot and the cup it comes with are very pretty. But the cup was a bit awkward to drink from(thick brim but small diameter so I had to be careful to not spill tea on myself while drinking…) I also got a chocolate pyramid which was $ 7.50 for a 4 sq inch base pyramid. I thought that was pretty pricy… The pyramid was hazelnutty and had some crunch in it. There was also some tasty cream on the side. I definitely liked it(because chocolate) but it’s too expensive…

This is a super spot! The interior colors of gray and dark browns are very soothing. I ordered a cappuccino and it is the perfect combo of delicious and robust! There are a lot of outlets and the free wi-fi connection is very strong!

A new café with cute chubby coffee cups and a sleek interior. This is definitely a great spot to study or work since there’s plenty of outlets around the back corner and the place seems to be relatively empty and quiet for the most part. The café serves little bites like sandwiches and offers a selection of teas. This could be a good café to wind down after a visit to Golden Gate Park. However, customer service was slightly lackluster and the coffee tastes pretty average.

So glad to have a bigger coffee joint in the Inner Sunset! Really nice people, tasty sandwiches, good coffee, AND wi-fi that’s programmer fiancé approved. I’m also into the low key music that’s very conductive to working and/or studying.

Time: 12:13pm/60°F cloudy Purpose: Picking up a neighbor on way to North Beach festival. I waited in the car saw ad board with word café in chalk smudges. Got curious and walk across street. Ambiance: Place looks kinda dark from the outside. Window glare was to blame. Once inside you’ll quick to realize natural light emits through some sections. There are about 34+ seater throughout, tables set up for two to six people. Along window edges are see through jars with loose tea cork up. Counter area with tier dessert holder, utensils, loose tea collection, ipad, business card, grinder, LaSpaziale two chamber espresso machine, canisters of sugar, two stools, tumbler caddy. More tea showing in a separte shelf inner back wall was very intresting. Overhead menu on the side with walk-in fridge below. Soothing fast to slow beats playing nice acoustic waves. Staff: Two guys about late 20ish may early 30s. Both were delighted that I walk in. However, didn’t greet me like most places do. I had to open up first. It became apparent that they figure out, I wasn’t going to get anything. Wrong, never doubt a person dress up like a slob on the weekend. Later when I ask for the most pricey item they look shocked. Do I need to repeat what I want? Ok then thats what I shall have. Cleanliness: Grade A, compliance with industry standards. No complaints. Minor gripe pastries and sweet needs some kind of cover. Personal hygiene factor. Eats/Drinks: Small latte $ 4 and smoked salmon $ 8. Latte is what a latte should be, smooth creamy with no burnt milk. Smoked salmon was just okay. Really something that you can make at home, but better. The croissant that was use kinda soggy. Definitely store bought dime a dozen type. No exterior crunch with middle hollow no dough in center. Thinnest croissant I’ve ever came across lately. Aside from the talk about croissant and fixings, the salmon was abundance. Enough for both ends of croissant layer up nicely. Wasn’t salty like some salmon, but could definitely use some sea salt and pepper, just saying. Main Features: Loose organic tea brew at table and kept warm with tea candle. Products/Services: Espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, drip coffee, americano, latte, mocha, oj, milk/chocolate milk, smoked salmon, rotisserie chicken, roast beef, honey ham, salad, chocolate chip cookie, madeleine cookie, fruit bars, brownies, macaron, cheesecake bites, Pastry/danishe, wrap biscotti. Organic loose tea/coffee by Umbria. Takes plastic(no minimum). Punch Lines: Good vibe, pleasing flavors, modest cost, laid back, kitschy décor, light bites, can’t go wrong, nothing out of the ordinary, casual setting, take out of town guests, interesting takes, kept its standards, satisfactory, itty-bitty, young professionals, street parking, inner richmond. Tradeoffs: Premium coffee and tea feature here, but all other items are production made with no care for details to concealed it. Yes, I’m worry about other goods as well. Final Thoughts: Place is put together like a upscale teahouse. However, the selection of food choice is what hurts here. Package madeleine butter and biscotti cookies are shown tells me a lot of how and whats going on here, especially just finishing smoked salmon sando. This place has potential, if there are more selections. Needs more made in house goods than relying on store bought goods. Quite frankly, I only see loose tea is the only thing going for them here. Will try again if and changes are made moderately. Come if you want good tea and coffee. As for the food selection its your decision.

Went here because everything else was closed. Looks great but service is not great. Sandwiches are covered in mayo and staff is unaware of menu items, like honey mustard and Munster cheese. I’ll probably try it again, but just for the tea and wifi.

I think I found my new favorite study spot in the Sunset! Blanc Café replaced Mellow Mellow Café but their milk teas are still here. They also have coffee and loose tea. I ordered the Rose and Jasmine Honey tea and it came with a very cute heart shaped tea pot warmers. I also saw a neighbor have high tea with the the cool tower of treats. I love the dark décor, it makes the space very clean and chic looking. The service is fantastic. The guys working there are so nice and so attentive. They refilled my pot of tea probably 6 times. They also offer free WIFI and gave me the password without me having to awkwardly ask. Their food menu is a bit on the expensive side but I thought my roast beef sandwich on a croissant was great. And they have decent hours! Love this place!

Wow this café is so quaint! Replaced Mellow Mellow and I gotta say I like the upgrade :) This café provides your typical espresso drinks, milk teas, along with wonderful loose leaf tea options, «high tea» and even some snacks. I’m quite surprised how extensive the menu is! I came in at 2pm on Wednesday and was warmly greeted. The interior is very beautiful, clean and simple. I can definitely see this falling under the category of «hip» cafes. I ordered a small vanilla latte and my drink was brought to my table. Not the best latte I’ve had but I’d give it 3.5÷4−5 stars. Good hint of vanilla and espresso is on the stronger side. The current music choice is a mix of jazz and classical, played just at the perfect level. I’m usually a big café study gal, and I can see myself coming here for study sessions(FREEWIFI). This is also such a cute spot to catch up with friends. I’ll have to visit more often to try all the other things on the menu. They also have a great bench seat against the wall with soft pillows! 5 stars for great customer service, a good latte, and wonderful ambiance!
