This place is a hidden Gem so I am apprehensive to let people know about it but here it goes… This place has my heart, I come in and get the best service. The bartenders are great and attentive. Brian and Mongo are hilarious and always put their customers first. Karaōke on Saturday night never disappoints, I can not say enough good things about this place. I will be back frequently for a good time.

LOL this place seemed like a complete joke when I walked in but it grew on me. First k tried ordering some sort of cranberry margarita special they had on the board and the bartender just stared at me like I was crazy and it was awkward. But he still made it and it wasn’t that bad! The bar was almost completely empty during the 2plus hours I was there until some more friends came. The bartender’s wife took over and seemed super stoked to have a crowd in the bar so she have us free, HUGE shots of Jameson. This bar may look like a hell hole but sometimes all it takes is bartender to be generous and sweet just one time to win a bar over.

This place has been a cool spot to go to since it is right next to tiki haven. The service is 5 star but the atmosphere is only 1. This spot feels like it was from the 1970s, but the pool table is nice I would probably come back here just to play.

i first came to boom around early 2011 i think because my cousin was a bartender there. i meet some interesting ppl here and someone very special here. (i definitely wasn’t there looking for love lol) it was a quink-​i-​dink if anything and if this wasnt here maybe i would have nvr meet him.

My big bro Kevin is a regular here and comes about every other day to hang out amongst the regulars here. I can kinda say this is like a bachelor’s hang out spot for local Sunset District residents. It had the feel of wear my wife beater, show off my tats and drink it up like its the 90’s. LOL
We came by last Thursday and Friday to catch up and unwind from our daily stresses of work life.
The staff are really friendly, courteous and make the drinks the way I like it – strong and stiff.
Definitely will come back here again!

I’m always at this bar because of my boyfriend! This place is chill and everyone around is nice. The owner «mama» is way too funny and sweet.

Came here a while back. This place is designed with a long bar then a small place in the back.
When I last came here, a few regulars were pushing out a guy and had bumped the guy into us, so was wondering what was going on. Later they told us that he had a knife. After that never came back.

I’m down for any bar that mythically keeps drinks that I did not pay for in front of me. And for a pool table. And for a juke box. And for nice bartenders.
Just not for all the smoke in my face. Sometimes you’re just too drunk to go home and shower cigarettes out of your hair before you pass out.

The two times I have been to this place, it nothing but a SAUSAGE PARTY. Smoking is allowed inside, which is great — especially if you want that second hand emphysema. There’s better dive bars out there — don’t waste your time

If the recession is hitting you hard and your looking to save money but still want to go out then this is the perfect place for you.
1. I don’t smoke but you can save yourself the $ 7 bucks on a pack of cigarettes because apparently the smoking ban doesn’t apply here. The whole bar gets hot boxed with second hand smoke by the end of the night.
2. The pool table here is free. If you’re good enough you can probably win a beer from one of the locals in a game.
3. They give you free potato chips as a snack. Maybe it’s because they don’t have any beers on tap and felt bad?
Nice little neighborhood bar with a good mix of locals of all ages (21 – 60’s).
Maybe the 60 year old was actually only 30 but looked 60 because of all the cigarette smoke he inhaled here.

You don’t need to bring your cigarettes here. Just breath in and I’m sure you can get your nicotine fix. Save money on smokes I guess. Take a swig of cognac and breath in and blow out. I don’t know why I brought up cognac as well… just feel like drinking it here. Feel like I am back in the 80’s when I’m here. Drinking… smoking…want to wear my wife beater… get a tattoo… etc. haahahha
Is smoking in the bar still legal? I don’t smoke so this place is not good for me. But… for all of you smokers… this place is it!!!
Good luck… already have too many vices. Second hand smoke is not one I want to add to that list.
Price is reasonable in this bar, staff is friendly, and they will drink with you. They have a pool table. Dice cups. Typical bar in the sunset.

you know there’s something up with a bar where all the girls on one side of the bar, and all the guys are on the other side.
boomerang is the epitome of an asian gangster bar. smoking inside, pool tables, cards, 1 girl to every 20 guys.
drinks were ok, bartender was cool, and they have a real jukebox!

I used to come here with Huey every now and then after work just to chill out and relax. During the early evening say bout 6:30ish its pretty mellow with the jukebox playing and the sports on the tvs.
It doesnt take much to please me with bars, just give me a place to sit, a beer, and a friendly face. And I have to say they do a real good job at doing that here.
Yes when it gets around 10ish to closing it can get noisy and stuffed up, but thats the usual at most of these bars. Especially on a friday/​saturday night. Seriously though, you wouldnt really expect it to be any different now would you?

it can be chill at times, but sometimes i’m not down for the hot boxed second hand smoke, nor do i feel like getting shot at or stabbed.
