First thing I see as I walk in is [employee] singing & dancing like Wizard Of Oz munchkins. This breakfast is already #winning. Biscuits of the eponymous Biscuits & Gravy were the flat x dense x soft variety. Not my fave but likeable; fulfilled the B&G bizzagrizza craving. Tunes of Eric B & Rakim, Talib Kweli, Erick Sermon x Keith Murray x Redman x Sanders #berniesoblack, Biggie, Dre & Snoop, etc. Start my morning propalike.

Great find along our journey of the city. We made it to the HH specials $ 6 for select dishes and all we delist. The red sauce on the turkey meatballs was just a tad too salty but good nonetheless. Cool atmosphere too.

Great ambiance, quick and attentive service. $ 5 bloody marys! F*cking seriously! Amazing. Although the $ 8 beer-battered bacon(or something like that) bloody mary is well worth the extra couple bucks. My eggs benny and my boyfriends burger were so good. We are definitely coming back. New favorite brunch spot for sure.

I could not recommend this place more! The food was amazing! I have celiacs and haven’t had a burger in forever, but their gluten free buns were perfect. It tasted like regular bread. We also had a couple of milkshakes made from haagen-das quality ice cream that were so delicious. The servers were nice and helpful too!

Popped in here before the Red Sox Giants game last week. I hadn’t been here in years. But it is still a great place. Got the fried chicken burger which was really good. They have a nice selection of beers on tap too. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite burgers in the city. Atmosphere is nice and intimate, sometimes theres live jazz musicians. Recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in SOMA

She’s the«Brick-house»! Let’s all hangout! It’s Yummy Yummy! Super convenient & casual if you are going to AT&T Park. Burgers are yummy! Had some of my Sister-In-Laws Soma Burger, delish! Lagunitas on tap. Nachos with pulled pork, jalapenos and blue cheese, can’t just have one! Onion rings were good… better than Burger King! Park by Wells Fargo, Brickhouse for beer and nacho’s then GOGIANTS! Whoop!

We came here at 5pm before a Friday night Giants game and were able to grab seats for 7 of us at the communal table in the middle of the place. They have $ 6 Appetizers on the Happy Hour menu and some drink deals as well. Steve had the Southwestern Chicken Salad and some random guy at the table also had this and they both really liked the salad. It had big chunks of chicken, corn, black beans and avocado. Others in our group had the Tomato Soup and Caesar Salad and those were also good. The Caesar had whole anchovies and the romaine was served with the full leaves. We shared some Chicken Wings and Fried Calamari off the Happy Hour menu. I really liked the Calamari which had slivers of jalapeños and some seasoning in the batter. Oddly one of the best things was a $ 4 side of Cauliflower. It had really good flavor and was cooked just right. It’s a family friendly place as long as you’re OK with the occasional loud drunk yelling near by. They have TVs with games on and a full bar. They do have odd décor but the place itself is cool. We like each individual pieces of their décor. It just may not all meet a central theme. We’ll be back because there’s booze, good valued food, TVs and seats if we get there early enough before the game. The service is friendly and attentive. Someone always comes around to clear plates, fills water glasses and checks in on refills of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

What I got: Corned beef hash What I thought: This is a very hipster looking joint. Great ambience and décor. A lot of random things lying around. Very cool, very SF. The food on the other hand, was just okay. I got the corned beef hash and it tasted very bland. I had to add ketchup and hot sauce to give it some flavor. Definitely not the greatest corned beef hash I’ve had in terms of taste, but it had great presentation at least. Haha. Burgers seem like the way to go since there’s a huge variety and from what I’ve been told, are delicious. Giving that a try next time, but I’ll pass on the corned beef.

Since I work around the corner, I frequent Brickhouse often. However, my trips have become less and less frequent due to the fact their breakfast prices(bagels in particular) have jumped up from a reasonable $ 2.75 to ~$ 3.90. May seem like not a big deal, but it’s keeping my coworkers and I from attending 2−3x per week. $ 4 for a bagel is a bit much. Unless this is changed, we won’t be coming back.

I really really want to like this place. Has a great layout and feel. I would make this my regular spot. Lunch, dinner, drinks, Sunday breakfast… It would be great. Unfortunately the service is horrible and the food just ok. Especially for their prices. The menu looks great but execution is very poor. Fries are cold and small portions. Beef and cheese are high quality but buns and everything else is cheap crap. Someone needs to teach the prep cool how to press a patty that doesn’t fall apart. Service is extraordinarily slow and incompetent. Constantly get orders wrong. Let food get cold. Don’t bring orders at the same time… hire a GM. You guys are a hot mess in a beautiful place with a great menu.

My self and seven friends went to The Brickhouse last night and the staff were hugely accommodating for our large group. I ordered the Vegan burger with garlic fries and it was truly fantastic. Everyone was hugely impressed by their food, and the bill for 8 people was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend The Brickhouse for anyone staying in the area!

A fan for surely. Perusing through the rainy streets of SF — we came across an empty parking lot and this restaurant right next to it. Pulling in… …sat down and ordered what should’ve been just ONE mimosa but quickly turned into three and some IPAs. Shocker! Not really. Had they had pickle juice, we would’ve had that too… but didn’t, which was our cue to hit it and head out. Did share a crabcake sandwich and some onion rings. Some good ol’ comfort food I’d say to warm up the intestines with. The layout to the restaurant is nice. It appears dark(and smallish) from the outside; however, it’s everything but. Once you enter, it’s bright with windows all around and friendly faces do greet you both at the host desk and at your table. We sat at the long, communal cocktail/Thanksgiving table which is perfect for meeting new friends. I asked«Steven» who was on my right to pass the peas since he was gettin all cheeky with me anyway :) «Steven» had more eyeshadow on than I did but he came from a photo shoot. I didn’t. So he wins! Amazing time. It’s quaint, quiet and the perfect spot for a brunch date. Thank you, come again? I think I will!

Strictly about the burgers. A bit on the pricey side, but boy they are good. It’s the burgers that’s kept me coming back over and over again.

I work close to here and used to come here regularly for lunch and breakfast. Breakfast: I always try to get a bagel and at 7:50 they sometimes«haven’t gotten their bagels delivered yet» or at 8:10 «are out of bagels»…makes no sense. They are raised the price of a BAGEL with CREAMCHEESE from 2.75(which is still expensive) to 5 $…there is 0 chance of me ever going back there for a bagel. The only other thing I’ve tried is the breakfast burrito which is 9 dollars and small… Overall, this place is supremely disappointing, overpriced, the staff messes up orders constantly, and its very inconsistant. There are SO many better choices around this Area

We didn’t have time to grab lunch anywhere far, so my friend took me across the street to Brickhouse. Both the exterior and interior were visually stimulating and reminded me of a spot like Johnny Reb’s. Once inside, we both ordered the SOMA burger(hers vegan and mine regular) and sweet potato fries. The burger wasn’t so good, but the mushrooms were amazing. I kind of wish I had gotten a bun filled with these wild fungi instead of a burger with them as a topping. I only ate half and took the other half to go. After leaving, I realized that I had forgotten my food on the table, but it wasn’t worth it to go back.

I don’t know how I’ve never really considered coming here before. I’ve passed by this place s plethora of times and I was astounded by how great the food was! My friend and I ordered the couscous and Cesar salad as starters, then we had the skillet chicken. Wow! So flavorful! The sweet potatoes were to die for. They had s hint of slickness but full of flavor. Lastly, we ended our dinner with dessert: chocolate lava molt cake with ice cream. *drools* really you just have to go and try it yourself! On top of all of that, our waitress was very friendly and gave great service on a busy Friday evening. I’ll definitely be coming here more often.

I hate giving places 1 star reviews… in fact I only tend to give them to places where I feel like I was discriminated or treated differently for the way that I look and this place happens to be one of them. What happened you may ask? Let’s do this timeline bullet style! 1. Arrived around ~11am on a Sunday for brunch, was seated promptly as there was no wait. 2. Took about 15 – 20 mins before the waiter even came over to take our orders. Had to request them 3x to give us some service. It was understandable as there was only 2 – 3 waiters… until they decided to take the orders of the table next to us first… who only arrived 5 mins ago. Okay… 3. Requested water during when we ordered our food. 15 mins later… they forgot to give us our water(shocking, I know) then we looked over to the same table next to us, who got their water when they were seated without even being asked. Okay… 4. Surprise surprise, the table next to us got their orders 10 mins before we got ours. 5. Yet another surprise, now they finally gave us the coffee my friend requested after reminding them multiple times. 6. «Everything doing okay?» They asked the table next to us… then they just walked past our table without asking us. 7. Did you really just asked if we wanted our check without making eye contact when talking to us? Honestly, I don’t understand what enabled them to give us «service» that made me actually felt discriminated against. Is it because we were one of the few asians here? Or is it because I was dressed liked I just came out of homeless shelter?(Okay not really. but it was quite obvious that I just got out of bed) But regardless of how I looked, it is completely unacceptable to be treated like we are low class peasants who doesn’t deserve basic service. This is a casual brunch, not Alexander’s Steak House few buildings down. It’s the 21st century and never never in my life would I expected to feel discriminated based on my looks in a restaurant… IN San Francisco. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemies. On the bright side, the food wasn’t bad.

This place was close by and had room for a party of 7 for Sunday brunch. I had the Brickhouse Benedict with crab cakes. The potatoes were good. But the Benedict(including the crab cakes) were just average. Cheap mimosas though($ 3 per glass), but a little heavy on the orange juice in my opinion.

I tried the Brickhouse for brunch the other day and really enjoyed it. They have all of the standard brunch options AND super cheap mimosas and bloodies. I think that is why it is so popular for brunch on the weekends. Overall the food is pretty good! Eggs, potatoes, toast were all cooked pretty well. Nothing to really complain about. One thing to note is that the wait does get pretty long so it’s better to go early. However, if you go early(10am when it opens) it takes a longgggg time to get your food. Which makes sense when seating 40 people at once. So if you want something quick, this isn’t the place. Otherwise, definitely worth trying!

Just possibly the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. I ordered a veggie bagel on whole wheat without cheese and my partner and our friend ordered two other egg sandwiches, we also ordered a couple fruit bowls to share. The first order was completely wrong so we sent it back, the second order was also wrong, so we sent it back again. The third time, my partner’s sandwich was on a bagel instead of toast as she requested, but she ate it anyways. My sandwich included wilted arugula, brown avocado and bitter cucumber. On a positive note, we all enjoyed the fruit salads and my partner liked her sandwich. Eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.

If you stick to burgers, fries and shakes at this place, paired with the Old West saloon stylings of this place and fast service, you are gonna do just fine, and between a dinner this week and a return visit to grab another shake two days later, I can assure you that you’ll be A-OK if you decide to stroll in. Tried the Western BBQ Burger, onion rings on the side, and a chocolate shake. Ordered the burger medium rare(my usual), just hoping that they would end up not much more cooked than medium… but was very happy to see the flesh come out medium rare, so freakin’ good and I am a thick patty guy, not a thin patty guy, so this was magic. Onion rings were solid, perfectly cooked, large, well breaded. But the winner was the milkshake, so perfectly spun that when I took my first sip I just burst out into laughter. If I had to pick a negative, it was my Bourbon Dandy cocktail, which just didn’t work for one reason or another. Fine, but not special, but any cocktail under $ 10 these days makes me smile so my move to bottles after this drink corrected course. Otherwise, very solid experience, and this is the kind of place you want to have as a fallback near your apartment in case your other options are tapped!

This place is a typical brunch and burger place. I was actually a bit unimpressed with most of the food. I ordered a basic dish of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and a biscuit(cowboy combo with choices). I actually thought most of the food could have used more salt. There was a distinct lack of flavor. The potatoes were a bit dry. The bacon was actually not as crispy as I had hoped. It was still chewy(and thus not what I wanted)! The biscuit was okay. The pancake bacon was pretty ridiculous and extremely heavy. It tasted like a beignet but with bacon stuffed inside. It was incredibly greasy. They don’t split more than 3 checks.
