MMh. They advertise ‘Turkish coffee’ so I ordered one. And yes, I do know a thing or two about how Turkish coffee is supposed to taste like„ and yes, this was the worst, repeating: «the worst» Turkish coffee I have tasted in my entire life. Fine, they can mess up one thing, I am a forgiving soul overall. But, the sandwich had a long strand of gross dark hair in it. Unacceptable to mess up this this much in one sitting… Also, the ‘ordering experience’ was not fun. People behind the cashier were rude and overall seemed to be unhappy ‘to serve’. Absolutely not recommended, especially when surrounded by so many other gorgeous places to check out in the Mission.

What a great spot from the old pre-shitshow San Francisco. May this shop remain in the Mission for generations serving their Mexican mochas.

Stopped off here for a quick hot beverage on a rainy evening. It is pretty grungy in here and the barista was a grumpy guy, monosyllables throughout. I had the white chocolate cocoa with soy which was pretty good. They also Turkish coffee which is a big deal for coffee drinkers I believe.

The vibe is comfortable, great neighborhood feeling to it. They have a huge selection of teas which was awesome! The turkey sandwich I ordered was much better than I thought it would be as well. Affordable pricing and the woman who worked the counter was really nice. Would come back.

Rude, unfriendly service. I hope the owner reads this and remedies his behavior before all his customers are gone.

I haven’t seen anyone in other cafes or restaurants in the city more rude than the guy who works here. Second time here he again acts with a very unfriendly attitude. Not gonna comeback for sure.

I visited this coffee shop for a quick coffee and croissant. I ordered the carmelito and choc croissant. Both were just ok, the coffee came in a large glass mug and had too much milk and was in need of more espresso. The croissant was very heavy compared the ones I have tried before. The service was also just ok, nothing special. I will update this review if I try any of their food options. They also have free wifi when you order something, ask them for the password.

I was initially a bit put off by the place because I felt like I was getting yelled at. There are signs everywhere telling you you can’t have food or drink from the outside, that the bathroom is only for paying customers, that you have to spend $ 5 to get wifi access, that you CAN’T SITTHERE, etc. A lot of these are common courtesy things, but the all caps messy handwriting signage was getting on my nerves. I got the peanut butter fudge cookie and an iced coffee. A little pricey at $ 6. But now that I’ve sat down, the wifi is fast, the coffee is GREAT, and there is just the right amount of background noise(except for the guy honking his horn at the 48 bus outside). Would recommend once you look past all the negatives.

What more can I say about this lovely, family owned café? The coffee is decent — it’s not the strongest ever, but if you need a nice pickmeup in the AM, they’ll get you going. I love the quality of the food! I’ve had lentil soup, sandwiches, their Mediterranean plate offerings– all of which are simple, fresh, and tasty. The owner is always kind to me, and I can say I’ve been coming here long enough to even see his son working behind the counter. The café is great for groups, and they even label the larger tables to let patrons know which are intended for 2+ people. The ambiance– They always have great music and artwork up on the walls, and antique looking tables to pull the entire motif together. Last but not least, they stay open late and are right across the street from 24th Street BART, which makes them perfect for after work work sessions. Come and support this awesome community business and get a taste of un-hipstered Mission.

Terrible service, chock it up to my own neglect for not seeing the signs, but I purchased a small coffee under the pretense I would then access the wifi that was proclaimed free on this app. I wanted decaf which they didn’t have(offered an Americano), and after making the purchase was told the minimum was $ 5 to receive the wifi password. I stewed over my next action for the next few minutes as I truly only entered the establishment to relax and use ‘free’ wifi, opting to support the establishment by purchasing a coffee I didn’t even necessarily want. I would have likely lingered and ended up buying food too, but the attitude from the cashier and general vibes were off putting. Asked one last time for the wifi and explained my case, was denied again so I gave the untouched coffee to her and asked for my money back. Got attitude for it again. By all means, run your café how you please, but from my experience in the service industry — the customer comes first. Walk down Mission to 22nd and over to Bartlett to the Revolution Café instead, the wifi is actually free and the staff is much nicer.

A coffee shop from a bygone pre-Starbucks era. Cozy and sort of edgy, international music, a lot of food. You should study here.

Owner is often crabby. He berates the staff and easily gets huffy with customers. Yes, this place gets plenty of troublemakers due to the location but that attitude shouldn’t spill over to innocent people. I don’t come often anymore because I don’t like to support this poor service. Food and coffee both suck. Grab a can of soda from the fridge.

They need more outlets. The coffee was ok. Internet was painfully slow. Nothing special. They do have a lot of seating.

Like most coffee spots in the city, the tables here are way too crowded together to gain any sense of solitude(photo: ). Maybe it’s like the Marina Safeway where I am convinced they make the aisles too narrow so you can set hit on people you find attractive by ramming your cart into them. So perhaps the tables are close together to encourage casual small talk that will eventually lead to a dinner date at a taqueria followed by the horizontey. Regardless, my heart belongs to Jamie, and he’s not into coffee, so leave me alone, will ya? I just want to sip my cup of joe in peace, man. Otherwise, I like this place right across from the 24th Street BART station because it offers a Middle East-meets-Mexico meld of coffee and food in their eclectically comprehensive menu. I had just eaten a full plate of goulash next door at Paprika, so I was not in any condition to have one of their Greek Omelettes or a Middle Eastern Plate. However, I took the liberty of trying their signature drink, the large $ 4.25 glass of the Mexican Mocha, most definitely a delicious blend of espresso and chocolate with plenty of milk. So good that I had to get a $ 2 Mini-Chocolate Brownie treat as a chaser(photo: ). La Vie Boheme! COFFEE — 4 stars… the Mexican Mocha is enough to warrant a visit to this surprisingly low-key café on 24th AMBIANCE — 3.5 stars… tables are too crowded together but the vibe is warm SERVICE — 3.5 stars… nice enough considering the gallery of characters they must encounter here TOTAL — 4 stars… the fastest way to get from Turkey to Mexico is coming here

Conveniently close to the bart station to grab a small coffee for just $ 1.75! Wahhh! This café isn’t like the typical hip cafes that has popping out lately. This large and open café contains many tables for small or large groups to enjoy. They have a large variety of coffees, teas and also food! Their mocha is really chocolatey, creamy and light and if you get their freshly brewed coffee, it’s usually so hot that it’ll burn your throat, so be careful! But once it cools, the brewed coffee tastes a bit watered down but I can’t complain for the price. P. S. You must use a $ 5 minimum in order to use their wifi. But that’s easily a coffee and pastry.

What can I tell you about Café La Boheme? It’s not a rhetorical question. I’m asking YOU, buddy. Give me a friggin’ answer before I knock ya in the friggin’ head, pal. You wanna take this outside, friend? You’re dead. You’re friggin’ DEAD, amigo! Anyways, I can never decide between 3 and 4 stars. It all depends on your point of view and what you value in any given establishment. I like that this place is Mom and Pop owned. I like that the family is working and arguing together in the kitchen. This is one of the last remaining coffee houses that hasn’t been hipsterfied, sterilized, and gentrified. Are you satisfied? Dear God, you better not be gratified. The place is a little gritty but the prices are thrifty. And it’s next to the BART station so it’s convenient. Nah mean? Just hop on friggin’ BART from Atlanta, Georgia… And you’re there. Thx so much, BART. I’m taking BART for my vacay when I go to Mt. friggin’ Fiji cuz BART just gets me anywhere and everywhere and it’s so clean and quiet. I’m going deaf from riding that underground tin can from hell. Where were we? Café La Boheme. Shut up and drink your coffee. I’m giving it 4 stars. You think I care? I ain’t scared. Four stars.

Tricky review. Lots of riffraff that staff had to continuously throw out, yet free WiFi with tons of plugs and space is fantastic in this area. Food was just okay(omelette) and way too salty, with a side of strawberries that I’m allergic to. Not their fault. Staff seemed checked out, and hesitant to lever the back unless it was to kick sometime out, which is fine. ATM in the cirner although they do take credit cards. I’d come back if I needed to get some work done. For that, it definitely serves it’s purpose in this area.
