I ordered a sandwhich and some coffee. The place was mostly empty, and I felt like the food was solid but nothing to write home about.

Consistently good coffee and baked goods. Service won’t fan your ego, but they get you exactly what you need no problem. If you’re stuck on Valencia wondering if you should buy the $ 6 mocha or settle for the $ 4 coffee, just walk a block over and relish in the fact that you saved money AND fought gentrification in one morning trip.

We located this place from a different app. The juice is fresh and is delicious. The bacon wrap was disappointing. It was not heated throughout. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

super convenient location. Coffee ok, However, in the 3 times I’ve been there in the morning, twice the smoke alarm was set off and stayed on for what seemed to be an eternity. Twice in 3 times and no one budged so I assume this is a regular occurrence… and destroying the ability to have a conversation so I can’t go back for meetings there unfortunately.

Great bagel sandwiches and smoothies! Low key more«local» place with none of the pretentious hipster crap you see in so much of the neighborhood! All my life I’ve wanted to go in and order a great bagel sandwich and sit outside. Patio is pleasant with plants. Try em out!

I popped into Silverstone looking to grab coffee before meeting friends for brunch. Basically Friday night was a big one and I really needed to find somewhere to get my caffeine hit on in the morning or I’d be no good chatting to anyone… The Mission(or at least the streets I was wandering) really seemed to be lacking in coffee joints so I spotted McDonalds and thought that at least that would sell coffee. Thankfully just before I was due to go in, I noticed Silverstone across the road so went in there(always looking to support the local biz!) Not a bad little café — food and drink are both solid. Free wifi and a great little beer garden out the back so make sure you check it out.

I usually don’t post bad reviews but today I tried the most expensive and simple bagel I ever tried. Usually I pay $ 2.75 bagel with cream cheese but here is $ 3.25 .When they gave me the bagel, they gave me a wrong one. I didn’t notice, after I get off from bart. I’ll never comeback. Not worth it.

Bad, bad, bad customer service! After a horrible first visit I decided to give it a second chance, but service was even worse. Staff needs some serious training on customer service, not welcoming at all, and rude. I’m sorry but without customers you wouldn’t have a business so I’d suggest treating them a bit nicer. Definitely not going back.

Place is way overpriced and food isn’t very good. It’s kind of a trap because it’s right outside the station. Also, the two women behind the counter when I have been in there have made it seem like they couldn’t care less about serving me. Go elsewhere.

Great sandwich and great drink! Staff was actually pretty attentive and quick with our order. Got a turkey sandwich with avocado on sourdough and an energy drink. The drink was out of this world! Conveniently located and great variety. I also loved the paintings on the walls

Ideal spot for coffee or fresh juices. A great local spot. Plus they show football. Definitely try the jugo vampiro!!! Freshest juices around.

Had a nice fresh juice from this place a few days ago. It gave me the little energy lift I needed after work. So I decided to go back today and try a different fruit/veggie combination. The girl behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me so I asked if I could order a juice. She kind of nodded without looking at me so I asked for a carrot, Apple, spinach juice. Though she didn’t reply she was moving around so I assume she was getting the ingredients but then I saw her with some lettuce. Since I had only five minutes until my Bart train I asked if it would be a few minutes. Finally she looked at me and stated«I’m MAKing a SANDwich». OK… Fine. I’m the only customer in the place and you can’t even acknowledge me? That’s my last stop here. Too bad, because it’s a convenient location.

Nope, nope, nope… Pros: Cool back patio area, semi-friendly staff. Cons: Not greeted for a while after entering, an actual tea latte(as in a tea bag with steamed milk) took several attempts to get right, not all electrical plugs work, and I’m pretty sure my iced mocha was Nesquick and milk with an espresso shot… lol, come on. Good enough to sit and do some homework, but I won’t be back.

Time: 4:01pm/79°F mostly sunny Purpose: Rounding off my mission/soma area and didn’t want to go any further. Sweating inside car with AC blasting no help. Ambiance: Average size café with the usual fares. Place seems out of place though. A book shelve with books for sale in back a cabinet selling pottery/trinket pieces. The dining area has about 8 – 9 tables along with flat screen tune to Univision channel. Very quiet in here when you walk in there is no one in sight. All the people in back screen door area was socializing among themselves. Staff: Young Hispanic girl won’t greet you and might be avoiding to be seen. She won’t say hi till you say hi to her first. Okay you’re cute and all but I’m all business that may not be a match, I’m sorry. On a weekend day maybe! Cleanliness: Grade C-, needs work on windows and calking. Display cases needs a good wipe down in/out. Eats/Drinks: A detox smoothie $ 4 consist of apple, carrots and celery. IMHO I could’ve use that $ 4 and made me a 48oz detox drink that last me at least 3 – 4 days. The driver know was about 75% apple juice the rest what ever you want to say, meh. Products/Services: Sandwiches, soup, salad, cold/hot drinks, yougurt, chips, combos, pastries, breakfast, lunch, snacks, pasta salads, hot/cold sandwiches, cake slices, tarts, fresh fruits, cereal/oatmeal bowls(Kelloggs&Post) brand. Punch Lines: Mission district, muni/Bart, less than caring attitude, most items are store bought but plastic wrap themselves, weird vibes, not appealing, cake slices(red velvet) from Costco, answer you with yes/no and maybe. Tradeoffs: Good place for meeting someone on Craigslist for purchasing/selling. They won’t care what you do and don’t give a shit. Final Thoughts: Business must be so good here that your $ 4 detox drink is a drop in bucket for them. Must be a front for something unbeknownst to the public.

A quiet little coffee shop next to the Mission-24 Bart station. Given it’s location, it really should have a LOT more customers, but it’s actually close to empty everytime I walk in. There’s not a whole lot they offer in terms of menu items – just plain coffee, some fruit juices, and some pretty plain coffee cakes. Most of the counter spaces are empty, and the few customers in there are usually middle age dudes watching the TV. The decoration is also quite plain, with a bookshelf that sells random books that no one reads(huh?). There is also an outdoor garden in the back, with a small home-backyard-type BBQ grill, and a makeshift cardboard menu that offers to sell you BBQ meat presumably cooked from that grill. The«chef» is basically just a dude sitting next to the grill. Overall the place doesn’t look too professional, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t have a lot of customers.

Horrible service, just like the other recent reviews point out. Girl behind the counter was very rude, checking her phone and forgetting part of my order in the process. To bad because their pastries are actually pretty good.

Horrible, rude service from the lady behind the counter. Lady, if you hate your job so much, find another one. This place is always dead despite the prime location. I wonder if crappy coffee and lousy service has anything to do with it.

Here was a bit of a head-scratcher. Right outside the 24th Street BART station is a café that really doesn’t look like your run-of-the-mill Muddy Waters/Nervous Dog/Philz hangout. This looks like it was once a thriving taqueria that for reasons known to the owner, switched gears and became a coffeehouse. It’s quite unexpected on this stretch of 24th and very welcome if you ask me because it’s nice to be able to get a casual cup of joe amid the chaos in this neighborhood. I’ve decided I’m not a cool enough hipster to hang out at the likes of Haus where the barista there gives you plenty of ‘tude. Not here. There looks to be only one woman who acts as barista here, but she is quite versatile. She makes all the standard coffee drinks as well as bagels and sandwiches. I simply ordered a medium $ 3 Latte(see photo) and sat at one of the large tables in the middle of the space. There isn’t much of a warmth factor in the décor, though I was charmed by the Mexican folk art that was evident in random spots(see photo). You can probably tell that I’m running out of things to say about this place since I’m starting to babble. But just give it a try if you’re over there because the latte was quite nice. COFFEE — 4 stars… a nice big latte to nurse in front of the TV screen here AMBIANCE — 3.5 stars… spacious but not very warm or comforting yet SERVICE — 3.5 stars… she works hard behind the counter TOTAL — 4 stars… an unexpected caffeine pit-stop before diving into BART
