Great salads and sandwiches around $ 7. Breakfast burrito is so good and only $ 5.50(get the spicy green sauce). The food is good and the price is right.

Everything is good and very fresh at this place. Salads, sandwiches, breakfast wraps, and soy lattes. I’ve been a fan for over a decade. Oh, and now they take credit/debit cards.

Tasty Sandwiches If you work around Financial District or South Beach areas and feel like a Sandwich for breakfast or lunch, try this place. Get yourself a sandwich, walk towards Embarcadero, find a seat at Rincon Park by the water, bite on your sandwich and enjoy the view! Or if you are a workaholic, take the damned sandwich to your desk and it there! The sandwich will taste fine no matter where you sit, I promise you that. But eating at your desk? Really?! Come on! ;-)

I almost want to give this place one star… just to try to make the lines shorter.(J/K of course, so happy for this family for doing so well.) Seriously, the best breakfast burrito out there. The lunches are phenomenal as well. Everything is great. Lovely place, people, food, and the prices are right. Thanks Cicil’s — I’ll see you tomorrow.

Dear Cicil, I think it may be time we broke it off. You were my favorite breakfast wrap place for so long, but unfortunately you just can’t make the order correctly. How hard is it – eggs, cheese and avocado? But time and time again you shove in overcooked potatoes, or spinach… and for some reason, the price doesn’t change even if you order half the ingredients? That’s just wrong. Why Cicil, why? It could of been so good. Your salsa is so tasty. But none of it matters if you keep getting the order wrong. I hope this message finds you well and that in the future, your outstanding fresh food and personal demeanor aligns with your ability to create the order as the customer requested.

Time: 2:07pm/73° partly sunny Purpose: Doing my rounds in Fi-Di wanted to see if I can perhaps pick up a client or so. It was pretty pack during the lunch crowd, I waited till near closing. Ambiance: A four table seated outside with two umbrellas. Inside two tables set up for party of two anymore you’ll need to contact SFFD to see if it’s a hazard. Wallpapers are peeling off with scotch tape holding the pieces back. A cold fridge, stand for chips and snacks. Stainless steel counter with glass guards. Built in display for pastries/danishes shelf was empty top has basket of fresh fruits along with other perishable goods. For some reason the coffee set up was hidden from view, at the storage area. Staff: Two workers around mid 20’s not much English spoken. The girl talks and understand basic general questions the guy opposite of just that. Let me stand there about 40 seconds before asking if I’m ready. During that time you can tell, she’s thinking take a chance on this guy or simply say we closed to him. The girls seems to be nervous about making sandwiches when people are standing in line looking at her. She won’t even lift her head when she’s done just slides it ovwr to cashier. Order your sammie when there’s not a person inside, this way she’ll be at ease no mistakes. Cleanliness: Pastry counter has a huge fly buzzing around if you can catch or smash it the size will be like a nickle. That’s a lots of dirty microbes on the feet area. The back storage area had pieces of unknown matters looks greasy and disgusting. Eats/Drinks: Freshly squeezed OJ $ 4 and Caesar salad $ 5.75. The salad was below average too much romaine lettuce with the stalk part than leafy greens, some leafs are wilted showing brown edges. Parmesan cheese taste very generic as it can be, worst than Kraft shakers. Croutons is good but you know it’s package type from bulk. I use the dressing sparingly to avoid unwanted calories. The juice was definitely fresh but the questionable part was there was any pulp. Where did it all go? Use a strainer here or what? Again false not truthful. Products/Services: Coffee, freshly squeezed juices, sandwiches, salads, breakfast sandwiches/bagels, plates, veggie wraps/sandwiches, chips, sodas/juices(bottles and cans), combo plate dishes, torani/da vinci syrups. Breakfast ends at 11am sharp. Punch Lines: Fi-Di, inside business building, surrounded by shops/cafes, outside seating, post office, rincon center, inside food court, cable museum, hotel vitale, greyhound stop, ferry building, Sue Bierman park, Hyatt Regency, Epic Roadhouse, Prospect, Yank Sing. Tradeoffs: It’s mainly for the workers within the building that wants quick nearby lunch without crossing the street or seeing a streetlight. Solution? Don’t be lazy use those legs and go somewhere, you’re not that lazy right? Final Thoughts: Great place to sit and have a quick bite without the clanging bells and squealing wheels of muni streetcar. You’ll be definitely hard to spot or find unless someone sticks a GPS tracker on your attire. I’ll use it for another hideout spot when ever I want to be alone for a while. Place is really comparable to that of Lee’s sandwiches minus the Asian eats.

Really good food(have tried the veggie wrap, various sandwiches, salads, orange juice) but two stars off because of recent price increases and they will nickel and dime you on everything. Like on stuff that most other places wouldn’t charge for. Extra tomatoes? Fifty cents extra. Extra lettuce? That’s extra too. That seems penny wise and pound foolish, but I can deal with that. More disappointing is that they’ve had 3 price increases in the past 6 months on the veggie wrap. And it’s cash only as well — but then they charge you tax on some items. Hmm, I don’t get it. They’ve tested my patience as a customer with the constant price increases, but the food is good and the person who makes the food is really nice, so I’ll probably still reluctantly come every now and then.

This is a busy lunch place and they rush so much they make many mistakes. They didn’t listen to my order and made it wrong, and every other customer there was confused about their orders, a sandwich shop should pay attention to details and not just add random ingredients to people’s orders, a few people also asked to have certain ingredients removed and their request wasn’t honored. If you’re in a rush and don’t have a choice go for it, but if you have a specific order for multiple people, expect most to get something different than they wanted, a complete waste of money.

There food is good, but they never have there stuff together. There is always a mix up and there always rude about it. Would have been 5 stats but there customer service is that bad. Phone orders don’t mean anything they say a few min and it’s always longer then showing up.

I’ve come here a few times per month, and service is hit or miss but today drove me over the edge. I wait 10 minutes for my sandwich to be made, only to have it given away. Manager then tells me the ingredients are no longer available to make another. She then proceeds to offer no apology, but is insistent it is not her fault. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

After reading the great reviews of the sandwiches here, I felt like I had to come here for lunch. I ordered the«Vegetarian»(avocado, mozzarella, spinach, tomato, basil on ciabatta) and it was just your average tomato mozzarella sandwich from any other place. Nothing spectacular by any means(the avocado doesn’t really add that extra oomph). I’m not sure why its rated so highly but I would have lower expectations before coming here. Its not bad, just not as great as its made out to be. The price is pretty decent for San Francisco so that is pretty good. Service isn’t friendly but not a big deal since you only interact with them for like a total of a minute(placing your order and picking up).

Breakfast Veggie Wrap for the win! Everyone in my office goes to Cicil’s for breakfast burritos on Fridays, and I tried it for the first time and I now understand. I called in our order for 4 burritos, all slightly different: all veggie burritos but some with egg whites, some with wheat tortillas, some with bacon, etc. I definitely confused the guy, and our call dropped before the conversation ended,(didn’t give him a name or number), but we went 15 minutes later and our burritos were waiting! And only one order was slightly off, made with eggs not egg whites. But in regards to the burrito itself, Amazing! I ordered the veggie burrito with avocado, spinach, potatoes, egg whites, and both salsas in a wheat tortilla. If you’re looking for a fresh, satisfying burrito, you have to try Cicil’s. It’s not your normal burrito that’s dripping oil, over packed, and makes you feel slightly sick after. This is how a burrito should be done. And it was $ 6(normally $ 5.50, I think egg whites is extra). Tips: — Order ahead, especially on a Friday morning — It’s cash only! — Try it! Also, I’ve been here once before for lunch and got the Spring Salad. The amount of avocado already won me over, but the veggies were plentiful and delicious. I will definitely be back to try their other salads, and of course get more breakfast burritos.

I’ve eaten here many times… food is very so-so but, what to be expected for the price I guess. But today compelled me to write a review. I asked if it was possible to order the proscuitto sandwich but with chicken instead… he said«sure.» He then proceeded to charge me $ 1.25 more(they are both the same price, 7.75). When I questioned he said«if you don’t like my price, don’t buy it»…exactly his words with total attitude. I mean, WOW… I did buy it, ate it, and it wasn’t that good. I won’t be going here again. And really… STILL to this day, you only take cash? this is 2013, get with the times.

Hadn’t been in a while. Have to reiterate my rating because the fajita sandwich was awesome still and substituting jalapenos for green chilis improved it for me. Price is up to $ 7.75 still, but is fair for the amount at quality.

Salami & mortadella with avocado & roasted red bell peppers on dutch crunch pressed for under $ 7? Hell yeah! We waited for awhile for our sandwiches though on a rainy day around 12:30 though even though there were only a couple people ahead of us. Other than that, their sandwiches are filling and cheap, just remember to bring cash to this grab & go eatery!

Four Stars If you’re doing the whole healthy thing, this is definitely the place to visit. You can get a huge vegetarian salad(I’ve tried the roasted eggplant & cactus) for ~$ 6. What a steal. Tips An additional buck will get you huge pieces of chicken.

I was drawn here by the cactus salad. I rarely see nopales(that’s cactus, in Spanish) used in Mexican restaurant fare. But it’s a common food. My 93-year old grandpa makes a mean ensalada de nopales(cactus salad) with nopales(that he chops and peels from his backyard), tomato, cilantro, green onion, lemon juice, salt and pepper. So I was expecting something along those lines. What I got was a more Americanized version of cactus salad with VERY little cactus(it was mostly lettuce), but it was still a good salad. Just not what I was expecting. It was basically a bed of romaine lettuce with a few pieces of cactus, avocado, tomato, red onion, black beans, cotija cheese crumbles. I asked them to hold the tortilla chip garnish(stupid low-carb diet). I’m obviously a much harsher judge given my affinity for ensalada de nopales. But Cicil’s is a really yummy, cool and refreshing salad. Perfect for this warm weather we’re having :)
