Two stars for the good experience in the store but minus three stars for the terrible service regarding ordering difference sizes. I went in citi shoes and ended up ordering a pair of boots that they didn’t have my size at the time. Walked out expecting to hear back in a week. Nothing. I call again and a lady who claims herself to be the purchasing manager said no such order has been made when I clearly had the order receipt in my hands. She said she will call the factory and call me again. Nothing. I made three phone calls in total and after about 2 ½ months later I guess I shouldn’t expect any call from them at all?

Great place to shop for not just fashion but comfort shoes. And above of all is «the best customer service «in town.

This review is for On the Run.(guess it’s the same owners) The shoes here are great quality, my grandma loves coming here. Ive never bought shoes from here but I did come in looking for some suede protector one day. I walk in and was greeted immediately. I go straight to the shoe cleaning supplies and Joe approached me and asked me what I was looking for. I told him I just needed some suede protector and he was very happy to help. They didn’t have any on the display but he assured me they had some in the back. He came back with the spray and explained, thoroughly, how to use it. I didn’t even need to read the directions. The spray was 5.00 $ but he gave me the same service as though I was spending 500.00 $. Joe is the man.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! Fast, friendly service that still takes the time to make sure you get what you need! A business that shakes my hand after a smooth sale is the business I will be buying my chef clogs for a long long time. Thank you Carlos, you’re awesome!

Joe and Carlos are the best! They were super helpful while I was being rather particular about what shoes to get. I’ve had to start getting more substantial and supportive footwear after an injury and these guys (along with their sister store On The Run) have a great selection!

Buyers beware: they will not give you a refund any items. The man at the counter Joe was very unhelpful. However, Eric the manager was able to issue me a refund after I explained how dissatisfied I was

I used to love them when they had their broader selection of women and mens shoes. I know they have recently changed for more business casual look and their shoes are still comfortable wear– leaning towards Clarks, Sofft, Dansko among others. I do still appreciate them having sales and keeping a large variety of boots for our foggy days. Again, because of the brands that they feature, the shoes are expensive, but well worth it.

Good selection of comfortable shoes, a bit more stylish than what On the Run around the corner has — but of course they have great options too. I’m sporting my first ever pair of Danskos and they are cute and super comfy.
The salesperson who helped me out was very patient and kind. So nice to have stores in the Inner Sunset that make it so us locals can really shop local!

I was desperately in need of new clogs for work. I stopped by last night after eyeing-​up the store for months. The staff was SO helpful. Not a huge selection of Dansko/​Sanita clog colors, but they had exactly was I was looking for. I’ll definitely return for my next pair of clogs!

Citi Shoes has a great selection of fine shoes that are not only well made but stylish and made for the utmost in comfort and health. I’ve walked by many times and admired their beautiful boots or pumps, but finally made a purchase recently when they were having an amazing sale.
I ended up with a beautiful pair of leather Mary Janes that are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. They have a bunch of health benefits that I could tell right off the bat were legitimate and I was really excited to see what I deal I got when I checked the price online after I got home.
The only bummer is that they aren’t in a color I could wear everyday and the only other size was way larger than I could get away with. That wouldn’t be such a big deal, except that the saleswoman was incredibly pushy with me and other customers who were casually browsing at the time. For the price and fit they are definitely worth the money, but I was borderline uncomfortable with the pressure I felt coming from this woman on buying a pair of shoes I was unsure how often I’d wear. I’m convinced she would’ve tried to sell me anything regardless of fit or look.
I would come here again, but next time I will come when the store isn’t in clearance sale frenzy (there were boxes and shoes all over the place and none of the sizes were in the right place) and I can buy exactly what I want with no pressure. The shop itself is small and is more of a boutique that sells brands like Dansko and Earth shoes.
Buyer beware that they have a final sale policy on all sale items.

Great and friendly service!
Carlos helped me out and was very friendly and attentive despite the wave of customers that came in. Though I ended up not buying a pair of shoes (my right arch didn’t fit the shoes I really wanted), Carlos showed genuine care and was empathetic that I didn’t find a suitable pair of kicks. I ended up getting a cute hat as my quarterly «me» gift (Moms need these!).
Minus 1 star for the return policy, but a small business needs to have one like this if they are to survive.
An added tip I learned from Carlos: Citi Shoes is revamping itself to have more «year round» merchandise — my guess, to accommodate the city weather (I really might only need strappy sandals on the super rare «Indian Summer» day after all). For a practical gal like me who would rather spend $$($) on a quality pair of shoes that I can wear 2 – 3 seasons at a time, I’m THRILLED :)

The store has a good selection, all good brands of comfortable shoes. The service is good but…
After going on line and shopping other stores they are $ 5-​$ 10 more than other shoe stores. Then the discount you get on line can amount to much more. So the shoes I bought would have been $ 40 cheaper on line. Their take back policy is very limited… you only get a credit and have 14 days to return.

I have bought many shoes here over the years and I will no longer do that. I try to support local shops but frankly the return policy is really bad. I can buy a pair of shoes at Nordstrom and return the shoes at anytime if they don’t wear correctly or for any reason. I bought myself a nice pair of Tsubo shoes for Christmas and when i finally opened my present I was excited to wear them. From the first time I wore them the leather part of the shoe came off and after a couple of wears the shoe was trashed completely by that the time had elapsed for me to be able to return them. Three weeks ago I happened to be in the store and the assistant manager Daniel told me he can let the company know and that they can make things right. I came home emailed him a pic of the said shoes and a week later I called he told me that he should hear anything and he will let me know. I called again and I just get the run around. If he had no intention of doing anything or contacting the company why did he give me hope by emailing the pics? This is very bad customer service next time I will buy my shoes at Macy’s or Nordstrom where I can return a defective shoe.

I bought a pair of boots here and after one week of use, the heel fell apart. It actually split horizontally, revealing that it was constructed of a fiberboard-​like material.

This place has a very nice selection of stylish and comfortable shoes. They almost always have my size available, which is a nice convenience.
Staff are friendly. They also give out bubbles if you bring a kid in.
One star off for a few too many frumpy styles.

I’ve been shopping at Citi Shoes for a year now. They continue to provide the best customer service around. I just bought new boots, and the salesman cleaned and buffed my old boots (purchased elsewhere) for free.
People complaining about getting blisters from shoes purchased here:
1. Leather shoes have to be broken in. They will typically give you blisters at first. Wear 2 pairs of socks to break in your leather shoes. This is not a fault of Citi Shoes, it’s just the way leather works.
2. Make sure you’re buying the right size. We women tend to buy too small! The salesperson won’t be able to tell that your pinky toe rubs or whatever unless you tell them.

My most comfortable heels all came from this place. Boutique store, not large, not cheap, but not overly expensive either. You’ll walk out with a great pair of shoes every time, so you’ll feel good about spending the extra buck.
Also, great, knowledgable and friendly customer service, which is worth its weight in gold. This place is a gem, and they carry an array of sizes.

Wow, just wow. I dropped in, more literally than figuratively.
My trials and tribulations:
A new pair of Cole Haan heels which I thought were comfortable in store destroyed me during my daily commute.
I saw this store as my heels and toes ached and I didn’t even want to go in as I didn’t want to unveil the aftermath of my footwear blunder. But, I did and I couldn’t be happier! I must say Tana and Darryl make an excellent team. They helped me so much in finding a solution to my walking woes. I originally went in to get some comfy flats to trade out the heels for. I wanted something portable – but found some flats there that had arch support and looked fashion forward. I also found the Jeffrey Campbell sale… which considering the madness of my previous shoe peril which was all high heel induced i should have ran for the hills — if running were even an option at that point. It wasn’t so I bought them. Jeffrey Campbell and sale = bad combo. Anyway — those shoes should be painful but they were heavily once Darryl meticulously fit them to me. He spent a long long time helping me with ensuring my feet were seated correctly and comfortable. He pulled out tools that looked like medieval torture devices to stretch the leather to conform to my foot. He listened to my input and didn’t let up til it was just right! He sprayed the shoe with stretching spray and told me to come back in a week for a protecting spray for the suede. What? Who cares this much to help someone so graciously? These people are lovely. Tana was helping the whole way through and as customers came and went I never felt I was being rushed or not tended to. In fact, Darryl even helped me with a much needed bandaging for my sore feet and helped find me inserts for my Cole Haans! He helped fit them too just like the others! Free of charge! He also told me if I had any issues with the shoes I purchased there that I should come in with them and they’ll provide a fix.
Don’t write reviews unless I think its good enough for people to know about. This is! ⁵⁄₅ would recommend to any weary foot. Exceptional service!

Wanted to share an example of excellent customer service. First off, CitiShoes has the best shoes — they really do have a wonderful selection of ladies’ shoes.
I bought a pair of leather Miz Mooz shoes a few months ago, and over the weekend, they got messed up when someone accidentally spilled mango juice on them. Both shoes had very obvious stains on them — the leather changed to a much darker color wherever the juice had touched.
Tona (spelling?) was very nice on the phone and told me to come on by so they could take a look. So the owner, Mark, tried to remove the stains with a special eraser, then buffed them with beeswax. He spent at least 15 minutes scrubbing the stains away at no charge. When he was finished, the shoes looked almost like nothing had happened to them. Needless to say, I was very relieved!
He did not charge me for the eraser or the labor and only recommended I purchase some beeswax and an applicator brush — to protect my shoes and any other leather goods I own.
Tona even gave me a free Miz Mooz metal purse hanger while I was waiting!
I highly recommend shopping at CitiShoes — not only do they have beautiful shoes, but the people here are super-​nice and really want their customers to be satisfied. A rarity these days, for sure.
