I had such a wonderful experience with my first facial at this skin care center. I have my wedding coming up, and let Connie know I wanted to be able to use as little makeup a possible. She suggested several visits leading up to the day, with a regular facial to clean, a mild peel to exfoliate, and then a final mild facial a few days before. She also noticed that my skin was sensitive off the bat, and went with an alternative to steaming (a softening mask?) to open my pores. No one has ever suggested that before, and it worked wonders. The music she plays is relaxing and not too you know, new agey, and the office is very clean and pleasant. I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed during the facial. (considering I rarely can sleep lately says something too) I left with a healthy glow rather than huge red splotches and itchiness all over my face and neck. I can’t wait to go back today and continue my regimen. The value for the amount of care and attention Connie brings is very high, and I am definitely making this place my permanent skin care center. Her prices are extremely reasonable, I was pleasantly surprised by the cost and tipped accordingly!

Shireen is amazing and I trust her with my skin completely. I have been going to her since I hit puberty. Her facials are perfect and I am a very critical person. I am also a nurse and I can attest to how clean she is and hygiene is very important to me. Everytime she touches anything besides your face, like a phone or door handle, she comes back and immediately washes her hands at the sink.
You come in and all her attention is to you. She puts nice music on, puts a roll under your knees, covers you in a blanket and starts on your face. She thorougly cleanses your fash, puts a mask on it, then proceeds with the pre-​extraction treatment of either steam or glycolic acid, performs her extractions, zaps your face with an antibacterial laser, more masks, some massage, moisturizers, and sunscreen and you are off. The process takes about 60 – 90 min. depending on what treatment you are getting. Her extractions are very thorough and she takes her time squeezing every blackhead and whitehead out of your skin. The more painful it is, the more often you should come in because your skin is probably very clogged. Everything is timed and she is consistent everytime. She remembers your skin and can tell you the condition of your skin. She cares only for your face and does what is necessary, no flowery organic stuff that makes you itch afterwords, no foot massage, cause who wants to go from your feet to your face?
She never pushes any products on you or makes needless distracting conversation. She uses high quality products from France that are very effective. I always fall asleep throughout the process and wake up feeling refreshed. It’s definitely a nice time out from your stressful life and you feel more beautiful afterwards. SUPPLE, SOFT, CLEAN SKIN… ahhhh.
I used to commute an hour to go to her and now I fly across the country from NYC to see her. She is THAT amazing. I have tried countless facial places that are MUCH closer to me without success, no one can compare to Shireen.
Oh and a side note, be sure to eat dim sum next door afterwards! They are yummy!

My girlfriend has been coming to CJ Skin Care for over 10 years and raves about it. For my latest birthday she got me a gift certificate for a moisturizing facial treatment. I called in to schedule my appointment with Shireen who was marvelous. The treatment last approximately an hour and twenty minutes from start to finish. I always tell myself that I’m going to stay awake, but it was soo relaxing that a fell asleep midway through my treatment. I did wake up when it was time for the neck massage. After the treatment was over my face felt refreshed, clean and touchably soft. She recommended that I come back in 5 wks for my next facial. It’s coming up on that 5 wk. I’ll be calling for my next appointment right anout NOW!

I admit it. I am a facial junkie.
The reason why I’m so «well preserved» is that I’ve been going to facials since I was in my early 20’s.
I went to Connie Jan Skin Care in a panic because the Shiseido face cream I was using caused a whole mess of clogged pores (braille, anyone?) on my forehead and Connie and Shireen suggested I go once a week for extractions. It took 3 sessions to clean up my face. After that I went for facials every month no matter what. They have a wonderful oxygen facial which uses a facial application air brush which rejuvenates the skin and smells great too!
Service is excellent, the environment is really relaxing and a huge plus for me is that they’re not chatty when they’re doing work on your face like some places.
I haven’t been in a while since I moved away from the city but my friends still go and they love Connie and Shireen.
