Gives a nice spin to Indian dishes. Definitely worth trying if you are in the Mission area. My favorites: Deconstructed Samosa, Aloo Tikki Unburger, and the 8 Item Thali Platter.

I have been to this location and the one in San Mateo. I order the sampler platter with a little of each item. I can’t even remember because of the variety of dishes and my lack of familiarity with the various Indian dishes. I Love it, great food at a good value, the portions are just right and I get to wash it down with a beer. I prefer this than ordering a traditional Indian dish and only eating one thing. Its also better than a buffet type.

Stopped in today to see what all the hype is about. Firstly, as a vegetarian I was overwhelmed(in the best possible way), with all the delicious vegetarian options! They paint a giant menu on the restaurant wall, and after salivating/staring for a while I chose the Hella Vegan burrito with samosas. Guys. It’s a burrito, with samosas inside. SOGOOD. My friend got quesadilla with lamb, which he also thoroughly enjoyed.

Been following them since their first truck but it just hasn’t worked out for me to try their food. Monday was my opportunity since we were in the area. I ordered the beef unburger and had a few bitesnof the chicken kathi. Both were excellent with good portions for the price.

I first tried Curry Up Now at an Off the Grid food truck event in Oakland trying their naughty naan(open face sandwich). It’s like a pizza with curry meat on naan bread. And we all know how amazing naan bread is :) Today, I wanted to try something different and went with a quesadilla with lamb. The lamb was tender and soaked with flavor. The naan breading was crisp to perfection. The quesadilla had healthy portions of lamb and cheese in it. Will definitely get the quesadilla again! $ 9.75 for a quesadilla is a bit pricy given a quesadilla(super suiza) at El farolito would be like $ 6.25 but having the curry flavored meat is a nice touch if you enjoy a Mexican quesadilla but with an Indian twist. Staff was courteous, place was clean, accepts credit cards.

I really enjoyed this place an evening after visiting Dolores Park. I had the chicken tacos which were delicious almost like a chile verde cury. Also had the fried ravioli they kinda tasted like cheese sticks very tasty. Definitely would try this place again.

One of the few places open during lunch time on weekdays. Most of the nearby restaurants open only after 5pm. Came here with some of my colleagues. Quiet place, not noisy at all. Great for work related meetings. Peppy Bollywood music in the background creates the perfect ambience. Quik service. Great food choices for both vegetarian /non vegetarian and sweet/spicy tastebuds. My colleagues had a blast trying out various food items and drinks without hurting their wallet too much. Dont miss their sexy fries! In vegetarian options we also ate some Kathi rolls, wada pav, guac sev Puri, naughty naan, Gol gappa, gulab-Jamuns and chai. Ask for additional plates as it may get messy!

Ordered the chicken tiki masala burrito online through grubhub and had it delivered to the apartment. Quick, easy, and painless. This was my first time having an indian burrito and I was pleasantly surprised. It was not too oily or heavy, yet very filling. Our group also ordered the naughty naan and sexy fries, but we ended up not finishing those because we were simply too full.

I was introduced to Curry Up Now by their food truck at a wine festival in Alameda and the rest is history. When I’m in the City I stop by and grab a aloo gobi(vegan) deconstructed samoa bowl to go. It’s packed with favor but lately is a bit spicer than I rememeber it being… not a deal breaker but something I’m now aware of.

Ok the bill was 53 $??? Not exactly street food prices? Ok trendy place and you leave not smelling like an Indian market — plus for me. Food ok. Not really appetizing looking in the tray I had in 3rd grade… the 8 thali platter w/CTM& ‘wok’ golbi. Ok good spice on the CTM but no real piece of chicken. More like oily soup. Golbi ok. The app of mini TM& Naan was the worst rip. 6 $ for hard Naan & the tiniest 3 tbsps of TM oily sauce. Do not order this. For a chain no two locations have the same menu? I will not return…

Fun, chill place, great prices, perfect for a large group and you can bring your own wine :). Went with a group of friends this week and we all loved what we ordered and shared. The open face samosa is like a spicy pizza! The sexy fries were hot and tasty! And I only spent $ 12 for dinner! Score! Will be back with the crew.

Stopped by here with some co-workers mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Not too crowded, enough tables and seats. They had a selection of about 8 beers that included Kingfisher, Dogfish Head, mango hard cider and more. We ordered 2 beers and one of the beers wasn’t pouring properly so the guy gave us a free beer, which was great! We ordered the itsy bitsy naan bits and dip, a deconstructed samosa, the Unburger with samosa and lamb, and a chicken tikka masala burrito. Our food was prepared really quickly, which was nice since we were starving. The itsy bitsy naan bits with dip was good, but there was definitely not enough dip :(they really need to provide more dip… My friend said the deconstructed samosa was spicy(good for anyone who likes a spicy appetizer/small meal). The chicken tikka masala burrito is a solid choice — large, tasty, and filling. It’s wrapped in foil so if you only eat half of it, you can easily re-wrap it and heat it up in your oven at home! This place isn’t really authentic Indian food but it’s good for a quick meal or snack.

I was walking down the street and noticed the cool name, so I went in to see the menu. The lady at the register was very kind and helpful. She recommended the chicken ttikka was freeking delishous and filling. The lady checked up on me 2 times. I highly recommend this place. If you have anything negative about this place, clearly your a arrogant, pompous idiot. Thank you for your delicious food

Basically a chipotle version of Indian food. This place is delicious. Fast serving of indian food and a plentiful amount. Sure, it definitely isn’t your«authentic indian mom» home cooked meal, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t tasty!!! Cant wait to eat here again!

This is the best Indian food you will ever have! I’m a regular here and I always get a burrito and the sexy fries! The staff is amazing and I’ve always had a pleasant experience coming here! Perfect for a large group of friends or a date night! From SFSU, I usually get off muni at church and walk down to 16th and Valencia or catch their food truck near Hensil Hall on campus

Food comes out quickly, but the serving portion is small for the 1 entrée meal. I highly recommend getting the 2 entrée meal for a few extra dollars if you are really hungry! The Lamb curry was tasty, but not amazing. Definitely has a little spicy kick to it, so if you cannot handle spicy, ask for it without the default hot sauce on top. Quick service and tasty food.

I was brought here when I was in the area for yet another dead-end job interview. It was one of the highlights of my evening. Staff were super friendly and quick. I see folks complaining on the price but I found it to be pretty run-of-the-mill for the east coast(coming from Boston/NYC at least). This restaurant is what happens when Dos Toros meets Indian food. I’m a picky vegan nerd so having options/modifications galore is always a positive, as is having a solid beer list. I delved into my deconstructed samosa(which I hadn’t heard of anyone doing previously) and left quite full.

This place. I hope people realize this is nothing like Indian Street food. I can’t even. I wanted to try this place, it is more like a Mexican-Indian hybrid. If you’re not expecting Indian food it’s fine. Décor is fine, casual, plenty of seating, screen to watch games. Pretty average.

3.5 stars Pretty delicious Indian fast food/street fare but with a hefty price tag. I ordered the naked tikka masala burrito(which I think actually gives you less filling than the actual burrito). It was not a very full portion and I felt like it was quite a rip off for what I was charged. I have also had their catering through my husband’s company and their actual chicken & beef burritos were much more filling. Still pricey, but definitely delicious and filling. I did enjoy my spiced sangria, however, and the price($ 6) was acceptable. My husband ordered the deconstructed samosa. Also lite fare for a full meal but flavorful. The mini samosas were a cute addition. The itsy bitsy naan bites were delicious as an appetizer but also skimpy given the price tag. I was shocked at how small the portions were for the 8 item thali platter that my friend ordered. I was given more tikka masala than the two«entrees» combined that she was given. Seeing a pattern? Yummy, spicy, flavorful, unique food at a ridiculous price. I want to love this place so much but I just can’t given the portion size to price ratio.

Curry Up Now is what all street food should aspire to be!!! I love this place from the bottom of my heart. Or maybe it’s my stomach. I get confused. A bit of background: this tasty restaurant is fusion between classic Latin American and Indian dishes which results in such classic as the tikka masala burrito and paneer quesadillix. My personal favorites are definitely the Chicken Sexy Fries(chicken tikka masala + sweet potato waffle fries? Yes, please) and the Chicken Deconstructed Samosa(Ask for rice! It’s an add-on, but it’s awesome). Paired with a selection from their great draft selection, I’m always left feeling happy. Con is that portions can be a bit small given the price. Personally, I am very full after my food but it definitely falls into the San Francisco/Mission/Pricey bucket. Maybe it is not an everyday meal, but every so often, Curry Up Now is the perfect treat!

My friends and I came here to pick up to go before going to Dolores Park. Between the 4 of us, we shared the sexy fries, naughty naan, and deconstructed samosas. The sauce on all the dishes were extremely flavorful and did not overwhelm the dish. The naan was super chewy and did not lose its texture or become dry even after sitting out a little bit. I liked the sweet potato fries in that it wasn’t overly fried and even with the sauce, the sweet potato taste was still very strong. My favorite by far was the deconstructed samosas because it’s taste was super unique; it had savory ingredients but there was also a hint of sweetness towards the end of your bite. We walked to Dolores, so by the time we found a seat at the park, our food wasn’t that hot but it was still very delicious!

I’ve tried the food truck(loved it), and just tried the restaurant for the first time. The food is very similar, and now you get a place to sit! This is a prime spot to come after a day in Dolores Park, since it is just a few blocks down. The cashier was friendly, and our food came out in about 5 minutes from when we placed our orders. Food: Ordered the CHICKENTIKKAMASALABURRITO($ 8.50) and was not disappointed. Could really taste the tikka masala flavor, and the chicken was tender. It went well with their different sauces. There are 3 kinds of sauces, the red is SPICY, the green is mild, and the purple is sweet. All three taste completely different so make sure to try them all! 8ITEMTHALIPLATTER($ 11)-Served on a cafeteria-style metal tray and comes with anything and everything to let you try all different types of Indian flavors. Personally, I didn’t think the flavors were anything special, and tasted a bit like frozen Indian food. Use the sauces! Overall, this place is good for the prices, especially considering the location in the Mission District. Definitely going to try the SEXYFRIES next time, since everyone raves about them. Try all 3 sauces and be cautious when trying the spicy one!

I’ve been here a few times with coworkers. I enjoyed their food each and every time. Except this time, one of my coworkers food came later than usual. And another coworker is ordered gluten free and was so shocked when she saw the naan on top of her rice. I ended up having to move the naan for her. Her face looked mortified since she asked for gluten free. So, gluten free folks, remember to say no naan or naan on the side if you get the thali platter!!! This time I got The Naughty Naan which is an open face naan with your tikki masala and choice of meat, onions, greens, cheese, and all the good mixings. I enjoyed it, it was great! Only minus one for the mishap!

I’ve heard many great things about this place and as an Indian food lover, I really wanted to try it out. The cashier and other workers were extremely friendly and had good recommendations for first-timers. I got their Naughty Naan with chicken and it was delicious! it was basically an Indian pizza with curry instead of tomato sauce. I especially loved how they didn’t bake/cook the greens on top with the naan, so it didn’t get all gross and soggy. One weird thing I noticed, which wasn’t a big deal, was that they said they were«out of forks». Not really sure how that works at a restaurant, but my friend still managed to eat his meal with a spoon, so we all survived with no casualties regardless of the shortage of forks.

The deconstructed samosa is my fave. It’s like a samosa salad, a thing of beauty. I like the kati rolls, no egg. One complaint tho, the yogurt sauce is thin, runny, tastes diluted. Don’t be cheap Curry up. Don’t dilute that s***.

The thing is I don’t want to Curry Up «Now» or ever again. Walked in for lunch and I felt like I was in Alcatraz, given that they serve their food in these metal trays, with small portions at communal tables. The first thing I did was take a sip out of my ginger mint lemonade, and it made me want to gag. Bitter, bitter, bitter, just like my review of this place. The 8 item Thali platter had some saag, parantha, rice, and other things but none of them were all that flavorful or memorable. All in that small metal tray. And for a $ 15 lunch I expected so much more than what I was given. What is this place? The set for Orange Is The New Black? Do they issue prison jumpsuits too?
