David has 40 years experience and his work shows it. He refinished our hardwood floor which was down to the nails and had to be hand sanded. He did a wonderful job sanding and staining; it looks great. He then repaired a few areas which we didn’t think could be done and blended it into the old floor. He is honest and reasonable and takes pride in his work.

David Howell is a true professional. He repaired and refinished our 1920’s oak flooring and it looks beautiful really beautiful. He did the job for much less then every other bid and in less time. All other companies bid on a machine refinish that shaves previous wood off the floor about an 1/​8″. Mr Howell saved the wood by hand sanding Friendly, on time, excellent communication, fastidious clean up a true professional who clearly lives and loves wood. He is a wood genius a true artisan. If you have a wood problem David Howell is the solution

I hired David to power wash and seal our deck and stairs. He did a wonderful job and even cleaned up our wood furniture as a freebie. He’s diligent and honest. As Larry David would say, «He respects wood.»

David did a stunning job refurbishing our wood deck. We’d had our deck cleaned and treated by someone else before, but it was nothing like the thorough job that David did, which made the deck look brand new, not decades old and neglected. He did little extras, such as power washing our stone patio and spraying the window to make my daughter laugh. He was highly recommended to us by Cole Hardware and a friend of ours. I too would highly recommend him.

I hired David Howell in early Spring of 2011. I have an Edwardian home that is located in the Inner Sunset District. The house is 100 years old this year. David worked deligently and meticulously on a lengthy project to remove all the existing paint in my dining room, and restore the original wood (both redwood and douglas fir) to its original condition. The room is a showcase, and I was very pleased with his detailed workmanship. He is certainly an expert when it comes to wood refinishing and the room is lovely. David powerwashed, sanded, and sealed our deck and stairs in San Francisco. He came out and did the job himself, and it looks fantastic. He really paid attention to the details and came back one extra day to touch up some things he coudn’t finish the day before. Fair price and someone you can really trust. He does any wood refinishing, indoor/​outdoor. Recommended («ReColemended») by Cole Hardware.
