An A-OK monument along a very busy street, there’s not much to see of it here. But it’s an important memorial to an important businessman who was co-founder of the San Franscisco and San Jose Railroad. He built the first railroad to go to Santa Rosa. His efforts were also an early predecessor of PG&E. For now though, it’s a spot to stop and each your lunch. But when you do that, please keep in mind this great man and what he did for the area.

I know it’s a historical landmark and all, but it’s not like it’s been featured in any movies or postcards or anything. It’s just a statue for me … with benches around for bums and Downtown workers to hang out.
