I work with Joey frequently as a fellow trade professional. I can attest to his design skills and intense product knowledge. He really stays abreast of all the new design products and is very well educated. His technical skill is unmatched by any of the other interior designers I work with, which is saying a lot, specially considering that I work with designers daily in my line of work. I highly recommend him for your next project. His product knowledge alone will save you many costly errors or poor material selections.

Just finished an update to our living room and Joey was great again at helping us find the right colors, fabrics, styles and furniture that fit both my and my husband’s style… not to mention rugged enough to withstand two teenagers.

Joey Lang from Downs Design Group helped us transform our 1951 San Francisco house into a cozy, comfortable retreat that we wanted all along. Joey helped us pick the furniture, floor and wall surfacing materials, paint, and accessories throughout a three-bedroom, 2000 sq ft house. Joey is really great with details and he has an amazing eye for the design. Working with him was easy, and although it took a while for the entire project to complete(about 9 months), we couldn’t be happier with the result. Joey was also great about incorporating low cost items or our existing furniture, where budget did not allow for higher end items. Early on, in the project, Joey clearly understood the color and the style we were going for, so the items that he was proposing usually were right on spot. If you are looking for a designer, no matter if the project is big or small, I would highly recommend Downs Design Group’s services.

This guy is a joke. Don’t use him for commercial projects. I hired him to redecorate the call office of my dry cleaners and he ripped me off. He ordered the wrong counters and I had to have the old ones recovered and try to sell the one that were ordered wrong. He hired a wallpaper guy in SF to come hang wallpaper in Los Gatos. The guy never came back to fix the spots that were loose and it looks like crap. He hired an unlicensed floor guy to redo the floors and the job didn’t last, it started cracking and peeling within a few weeks. The unlicensed guy flew the coop and I was out of luck. It cost me over $ 30,000 for wallpaper, paint, floors, new counters and lights. All I can say is RIPOFF. Don’t use this guy. He is all talk, doesn’t really have a clue as to what he is doing.
