eCleaner

Al has done a lot of fantastic work in the past and shown lots of dedication & trustworthiness in managing my vacation rental house. Last week, after Al was due to arrive, I texted him on his phone to see if he was close to arriving. I immediately got a text back saying that Al had been in a car accident that morning and was at the hospital. The person with his phone sending the text didn’t say who they were after I texted the question. I texted and called several times since then and have yet to hear back. I really hope Al is OK. eCleaners is all about Al, so if something bad happened to him the I guess the company is out of business. Al is a 5-​Star guy, but the business, eCleaners, is a 1 Star: I can’t recommend them since they don’t make scheduled appointments, respond to texts, emails or phone calls to long-​time existing customers. I run a business so the cleanings at the house are not optional. I certainly don’t want to 1-​Star someone who may have encountered a serious tragedy. These are just the facts as I know it. If somebody knows what happened, let me know. If this review is still up, that means the situation never resolved itself and these are still the facts. I had a 5-​Star review up for eCleaners for a long-​time, by the way, and am very concerned.
As of 9/​8, their on-​line calendar is blocked out completely. It states that they don’t provide services on that day of the week. And it says that for all 7 days. So it appears that this company is gone. Wish I knew what happened and wish his family all my best if something terrible did in fact happen,
As of 9/​30, I got a call a few weeks ago from a woman saying that Al had to rush back to Latin America due to his mom’s serious illness and that he gave her his list of customers. She was seeing if she could take over. She was very nice and wasn’t aware of him being in a car accident and hospitalized. I politely declined since I already found a great cleaning service and, obvious by this review, not too fond of anything related to eCleaners. I still get automated appointment confirmations though :)
I’m just reporting the facts as I know them and trying not to make my judgements or conclusions public. You can do your own math :)

I was in San Francisco last week to help my daughter move out of her apartment. My help did not include cleaning. So after the cleaning service recommended by my daughter’s management company didn’t pan out, we searched Unilocal.The owner of eCleaner, Al, scheduled us for the next morning at 9:30AM, and even texted us when he knew he’d be 10 minutes late due to bad traffic. Since it was a «move out» and we needed it really clean to get the deposit back, Al proceeded to clean the apartment himself top to bottom: floors, blinds, windows, refrigerator, inside cabinets — things we wouldn’t have even thought about. He didn’t bat an eye when we asked him to clean the garage floor, which was covered with oil from my daughter’s leaky 1994 Camry. Everything sparkled when he was done. We couldn’t have been more pleased with his professionalism, trustworthiness, and his work, and highly recommend his service!

I have enjoyed Unilocal for a long time, and this is my first review ever, which should say something about this company.
Are you looking for someone that is punctual, keeps appointments, is easy to communicate with, and does an awesome job cleaning? Call eCleaners. Al — the company owner — will take care of you and make sure everything is to your satisfaction.
I hate cleaning tubs, and my gf and I used to get into fights over chores. Thanks to eCleaners, our problems are solved — my bathrooms and kitchens sparkle, dust is gone, and my carpets are cleaned.
Before choosing eCleaner, I interviewed 5 other companies, and eCleaner’s prices are extremely competitive. Al was willing to come in, take a look at the place, point out problem areas, ask what I wanted, and then give me a price quote.
Now I have them come in once a month for cleaning, which works perfect for us.
Also, Al is very responsive on email (just in case you’re like me and on your laptop ²⁴⁄₇).
