Today at Precita Park, I had the opportunity to try the famous Brooklyn-​style egg cream drink from a new vendor on a bike, the Egg Cream Cart.
Amelia, who calls herself Madame Bubbles in her twitter account, is super friendly and sweet.
Her bike setup is very cool!
The egg cream drinks (chocolate syrup, milk, and seltzer) are $ 2, and I got a rugelach pastry for a dollar more.
— she might feature other egg cream versions in the future: NY-​style (vanilla syrup), SF-​style (chocolate & hazelnut syrup), vegan, eggnog.
I wish she had a handheld frother to mix the drinks, because bottled seltzer really cannot match the effect of an industrial high pressure seltzer from a soda fountain.
The rugelach (rolled-​up pastry filled with raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, etc.) — made by one of her friends — was delicious!
