It’s a a little far south but Exelsior is a great place to play pick up games. Since it’s a littler further outside the city than most courts it gets way less packed and you can actually play more often instead of sitting out and rotating. The park also has tennis courts and a baseball field.

This is the neighborhood park where I get down on the B-ball courts! Only 2 courts but they are well maintained. They have the kids area where they have swings, slides, monkey bars and sand! There is also a small softball field and tennis courts. My only problem is that the bathrooms are not always clean and the lights on the basketball courts don’t always work. hhhmmmmm… Maybe I should get ahold of the Parks & Recreation Department and complain about this?! But that will be another story! Bring your A-game if you plan to hoop it up!

This Play Ground is a hidden gem. The Club House is staffed by the YMCA and offers free great quality free programs to community members. There programs schedules are posted outside the clubhouse. The park is well maintained and has basket ball court baseball field tennis courts and two playgrounds one for younger kids and one for the older. Be prepared to play in the sand as the play ground has a lot of it the kids love it. Bathrooms are open the majority of the day. The playground is bound to be busy this summer.

I love this park. I come here to watch my boyfriend play basketball. It is clean, well lit, and very safe. I think there is an after school program or something here because I see a lot of little kids here. They have a really cute playground too. I love the pretty mural on the basketball courts. :D

My son loves the toddler swings here. I love the fact that it’s nicely maintained and not too crowded. There’s a tennis court that doesn’t seem like it gets much action. It almost makes me want to take up tennis to lose the last of the baby weight. Nah!

I’m biased since this park is only a ½ block from my house, but it really is a hidden gem. The park has everything a parent would want *Bathrooms *Playground for younger and older kids *Tennis court *Baseball Field *Basketball Court *Club house *Friendly park director on premises most days… *Decent parking for those who need to drive to it… Corner of Russia and Madrid. Come on by and check it out!

This is the best playground in the city. The park is surrounded with a gate so it feels a little hidden in the hill and safe. There are restrooms open Monday through Saturday which is very important when you have small children and the restrooms are actually useable. There is a regular kids playground and a toddler playground, a soccer/baseball field, tennis and basketball courts. The equipment is well maintained and they also have a little clubhouse for kids. The people that go here are friendly too. Great park for kids!
