I was really excited to try out a new place for many pedis and $ 32 wasn’t a bad price at all. I was recommended this place by a coworker so I didn’t think twice. I made an appointment for 12:45pm today(wed) but finished up my errands sooner than I thought so it was understandable when they turned me away at 12pm. When I came back they promptly seated me and the overall ambiance of the place is alright. The place is also a massage parlor so voices need to be kept down, etc. however they didn’t really try conversing with me at all. The pedicure went well, she did an excellent job of cutting my nails and getting rid of my cuticles. However when I was done it was a quick thank you and then she left and no one offered to help me put my sandals back on. As for the manicurist, I really wish I had gotten her name because she wasn’t very gentle. You could tell she was just rushing. She asked me how short I wanted my nails to be cut and then she ended up cutting it before I even agreed. She somewhat painfully removed some of my cuticles, sure she was thorough, but she would just glance at me to see if I winced before carrying on with her work. Not even a mumbled sorry. As for the painted color, it was the worst manicure I have ever received and I have posted my pictures on here as well. She didn’t even bother to try and cover my entire nail with the first coat, did an even worse job on the second coat — leaving me with a sloppy looking manicure. I’m sure I could have done better, which I actually intend on doing because this is awful and needs to be redone. They prefer cash tips, though you can technically tip off your card. Not sure I’ll be returning to this place anytime soon though.

Favorite mani & pedi spot on polk st. Also great massages and super friendly staff. I’m a regular now :)

I had very big expectations for this salon. The place itself is very beautiful and clean. First sign that something is wrong with this place was after I picked the nail polish(wich was displayed on a fake nail) and received the wrong one for three! times. The girl who did the pedi was rude and left a lot of spots of the nail polish on my skin, but comparing to my mani experience, that was pretty decent. I got the gel mani by Vivi. After the work was almost done, she messed up one nail, and started to redo it all over again, and covered it with 2 coats of gel, while other nails had 5 coats. When she was all done, I realized that the color on all nails was unequally. Some were lighter, some were darker. The cuticules were not cut properly and everything looked pretty messy. I told her that I don’t like that, but of course she said she thinks everything is fine. :) I will never come back while there are so many other choices in this neighborhood.

I have been coming here from massage to mani pedi for about two years. They did a wonderful job. Highly recommend Angela for the mani pedi; David and Coco for massage.

I had higher hopes for this place considering it was packed when my friend and I went for pedis. But we both had sub-par experiences — her lady was too rough and then in the end left some nail polish on her skin. I also had a couple toes with nail polish left on the skin… and now 1 week later am noticing that she didn’t get all the way to the edge of the nail bed for the second coat. So it looks like I haven’t gotten my nails done in way longer, now that they’re growing out. Just lazy, sloppy work. Oh well.

Tried Fairyland for the first time since it’s close to where I live and overall, it was a good experience! Their spa is very beautiful and clean and has very nice furniture for pedicures. They also have private tent-like areas if you want a massage. I didn’t have an appointment, but they were able to fit me in right away for a gel manicure. Since the spa is very girly and beautiful, I figured the manicure area would be the same. Unfortunately, it was in an area that felt a little out of place. It was in an awkward back-area of the spa, facing a stairwell, and just felt like I was sitting in a hallway. The ladies that work there are gentle and nice, but they don’t talk much. The entire spa was VERY quiet, in a creepy way. Nobody was talking. Maybe they want it that way since people are getting massages in the tents, but it didn’t give off a friendly feel. They did a great job with my manicure though. So I got what I came there for. It would have just felt more comfortable if they were playing music, or being social, instead of having their customers sit in an awkward silence the whole time.

It doesn’t matter if you make an appointment, they still don’t keep the schedule. I was supposed to be seen for a mani/pedi at the same time. Pedi started 15 minutes late. Mani started 45 minutes late, and they took unscheduled new comers in front of me. I voiced my concern repeatedly and they completely ignored me.

I walked in without an appointment, looking for a mani-pedi. Seeing a couple of manicure photos and a positive rating overall, I thought it would be a good experience. They only had time for a manicure for me, but I took it. I chose regular polish since I only needed a light coat to last the weekend. It was $ 15. The tech who saw me seemed very rushed. For the most part, she was gentle and kind, but very quiet. She buffed my nails(even though I do not have deep ridges at all) with a very rough board and left horizontal lines on them. There were bubbles on my thumb and one on my ring finger after she finished my left hand. I pointed out the one bubble on my ring finger, and she attempted to smooth it with her nail(just made it worse) then painted over it with the polish(meaning that nail received one coat more than my nine other nails). She didn’t use the salon nail dryer(maybe it’s reserved for gel only?), but she set me up with a cheap mini fan to hold my hands in front of… then she walked away without a word and began on her next client. The top coat was not very fast-drying(the fan didn’t help), so even after waiting ages, I ended up ruining a nail as I was paying. I took it all off when I got home. I appreciate that they were accommodating, but I would have rather been turned away than been rushed through with an inexperienced manicurist. I feel like we just wasted each other’s time.

The pedicure I received here was awful. She was digging at my feet so aggressively she made one of my toes bleed. I told her it was hurting and she continued to do it. I also didn’t get any massage, she just briefly put some scrub on my legs then rubbed it off. I’ve definitely had better.

Tried Fairyland for the first time. Loved it! The ladies were friendly and convinced me to try an unusual colour combo. Give them a try, the inside is quite soothing and lovely, no nail salon smell!

Best cheap massages ever! Seriously feel amazing and have private area with laydown clean bed vs. in other salons where it’s just a chair massage. They also do a great job with mani/pedi and gel mani. Hard to get appointment sometimes.

Love this place! Really pretty and nice spa music with no TV. Only criticism is that you can’t really talk because it’s separated from massage rooms with just a thin curtain. Otherwise I loved it.

This is my most favorite place to get a mani/pedi. The longest I’ve ever had to wait was about 5 mins as a walk in. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. Furthermore, everything is clean and well kept. I just had my first reflexology massage tonight. WOW! Within seconds the masseuse found my troublesome spots on my back and feet. I cannot wait to go back!

I have always had a very tight upper back filled with knots. I love massages but often feel that they don’t even graze the surface regarding the level of deep tissue massage that I need. Ming did an excellent job at kneading away and massaging out those muscles in my back. He consistently asked if he was going too hard and would allow for me to give input. My only con is that he massaged with the same intensity over my back muscles as he did my bones(which obviously hurt). I also didn’t say anything so that is partially my fault. I walked out feeling great but I am a little sore today. I will definitely be back for more from Ming!

Very cute spa salon. The space is set up with a pedicure bar and little divisions where you can get a massage. The divisions, separated by pretty curtains, each have a comfy chair. I had the reflexology foot massage(35 minutes for $ 25) and it was fantastic. Everyone needs a darn good foot massage once in a while and this is the place to do it. I also had an herbal foot bath prior to the massage. Great price too — can’t beat $ 25! :)

I’ve been coming to this place for 3 years and I absolutely love it. They give you tea and cookies upon request(or with your massage) and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. You might know this place as Utoepia2 but due to some internal company issues, they’ve since branched off. Doesn’t make a difference to me though and if anything, I feel they’re probably better off on their own brand. I love the owner, she’s so friendly and sweet which is why I’m taking the time to write this review. I love how thorough they are in their manicures/pedicures. I follow a lot of nail trends and sometimes come up with strange requests for gellac but they never mind and sometimes even suggest new trends/combinations for me! I love good, blunt honesty and I can always trust this place to tell me what looks good and what doesn’t. In addition, I’ve previously frequented quite a few of the neighborhood salons in my time living here but I’ve found that my gellac manicures always last the longest here. I’m not sure why but here’s to hoping that doesn’t stop! They do charge a tiny bit more than their competitors but I don’t mind given that I don’t have to worry about my gellac chipping early/peeling. In addition, they also have the new 7-day polish with a couple brands I haven’t seen anywhere else. This place is clean and I always trust that they place doing a good job vs making a quick buck. I’ve gotten massages here as well and they’re good for what you pay although I typically go elsewhere just because I’m particular about that. It’s a great neighborhood joint and one I’d highly recommend if you’re in need of a little pampering!

I hate to give this place 2 stars. I really wanted to like it since it’s close to work, but they did an okay job. I went here on a Friday around 4& didn’t have an appt, but got seated immediately. They had a sink as the soaking tub & the water was warm, but I really do love a tub that has jets in it. The pedicure was nothing special. I mean, they’re very clean… but other than that… it was nothing special. They cleaned my cuticles, cut my nails & painted it. The leg massage was very light & as a massage place, I expected it to be longer & for my legs to feel good after. The hard part about getting a pedicure is then having to get up, go down some stairs to go to the nail drying station. I didn’t feel like I got help getting up & going down the stairs(I know it’s only 2 steps), but the floor was wet. The place is clean, the staff are friendly & the nail polish selection was awesome. I don’t think I’d be coming back though. I didn’t think that the pedicure is something I’d go back to. Oh.I went here when they were still Utoepia 2, but they changed their name a week later.

review for massage only: The Nail area is a whole different animal. Thank goodness for primal instincts. yesterday instead of pedi, decided to get a The after my long physical and mentally exhausting work day. wasn’t sure about a massage here, although I love reflexology, it’s hit or miss. I have had Superb Well Schooled therapists at reflexology spots but then they leave, probably because they don’t get Paid or tipped well enough so they move on… I heard Jason was good here, and I was hoping he was available seeing it doesn’t look buzy. One of my favorite Massage guy is here now… yay holy cows… so go for Jason. Definetly call ahead if you want these. Finally I can give a Tip Most Deserved. After my very long stressful day I could not ask for anything better, except More! I’m so relaxed now 7th Heaven. Always Happy The front lady is most amusing. Took awhile to get me in.

$ 36 for a 70 min massage that starts with a Chinese herbal foot soak. You cant beat this place. After you buy 10, you get 1 free. Clean, easy to get an appt and you can get a mani/pedi too. Mei, Rocky, Charles are all favs. Close to all the cool stuff on Polk. Across from Real Foods, close to Walgreens and Blue Barn.

Down in Cupertino, there are many $ 20 massages, but those massages can be quite lackluster. I went on a 11 mile hike just a few days prior to coming here, and was extremely sore. I desperately wanted a massage. I Unilocaled a place and luckily, this was a block away from where I was. **This review is for massage only. I came in and there were only girls there, not really 100% sure if they offered massages, so I asked. They showed me my options with different time ratios for the massages foot to body. There were 40/20, 30/30, 20⁄40 with the prices increasing more and more. the 40⁄20 is $ 35 and I opted for the 30⁄30 for $ 41. Now it’s not actually 70 minutes of massage, it’s 10 minutes of soaking the feet, and then 60 minutes of massage. The soaking was relaxing and they had some calming music playing. Tea is served with crackers. The foot massage was strong but not too strong. Definitely felt good. The body /back massage was very strong, sometimes too painful, but for me, I really enjoyed it… :X. There is not head massage, and they do a little bit of neck, but more would be appreciated. Other than that, they get the rest of your body, including your butt, and the rest of your legs. I was given a card with what services I received, and I took it to the front to pay. I paid with a VISA and tipped $ 10 in cash. I left feeling refreshed. The extra $ 20 I paid for going here vs the ones in Cupertino was well worth it!
