There is a Starbucks inside the Courtyard Marriott, or just cross the street and walk half a block and get really good coffee. It’s well worth it. Review is for coffee drinks only, I did not try the food or smoothies. The space was spacious and comfortable. The cappucino had a proper espresso/milk/foam ratio. They have cold brew coffee available. Service managed to stay reasonably quick, while still giving each drink the attention needed to get it right.

Delish chai and great coffee art, laid back atmosphere, magazines and some succulents around too.

Went to fearless for a quick bite while I was in SF. Well all I can say is it is not spectacular. The service was incredibly slow, but friendly. The sandwich we ordered was still frozen in the middle and the hot chocolate was muddy and tasteless. AND it was expensive for a coffee shop! Not worth the money or the wait. Next time I am in SF I will try someplace else.

We came here with the intention of working for a few hours over a cup of coffee. The fridges were empty and everything was sold out. We ordered two drip coffees and a breakfast sandwich that was served on baguette because they were out of breakfast muffins. The barista told us the food would take about 20 minutes, it didn’t, it took less than five. I get the feeling that maybe he didn’t want to have to make it, he was the only person there. We settled in to work, picking a nice spot by the window but the WiFi didn’t work. So now we are stuck there with a coffee food and so tethered to our phones to keep busy until we were ready to find the next spot. The music was super loud too, not at all good for working. I wouldn’t come back here. Nothing about it impressed me or would warrant a second chance which is a shame because it is super close to our place.

Pathetic customer service. Left me waiting for a full 15 minutes before I was told that my order was«not communicated». The Kale mushroom sandwich was very average too.

I love Fearless! The staff is great, the food selection is always fresh, and they have great grab-and-go lunches(e.g., salads, sandwiches). Huge fan of their smoothies.

One of the best coffee shops around! — great coffee — great atmosphere — great food selection for breakfast or lunch — great service(which comes with great hair and great tattoos) Between eating here, taking it to go, and ordering delivery, I probably eat this way too much but it’s truly addicting. Notable mention is their Spicy Quinoa Bowl(vegetarian with egg whites, cherry tomatoes, basil leaves and SECRETSPICYSAUSSSS).

(Review on venue and coffee.) I’ve been coming her for the past month on vacation in San Francisco. I’ve been checking out local coffee shops in SoMa to study. Fearless is the one I’ve visited most frequently out of all of them. DRINKS: I’ve tried the Macchiato, Cappucino, Latte and Mocha. Prices range from $ 2.50 to $ 4.75 for these drinks, which is standard. I haven’t been disappointed with any of the drinks so far. SERVICE: All the workers are very nice and quick to serve you! VENUE: The venue is kept immaculately clean and is very spacious. There’s plenty of open space and places to sit. There are 26 available seats. The variety of seating includes 2 sets of bar tables, two cocktail tables, a large 12-seater picnic table and 2 seats in the back. The café is located in the 303 Second Street business plaza, with plenty of views for people watching next to the statues, grassy area and seated waterfall areas outdoors. They really have one of the best views of a café I’ve been to so far. SUGGESTIONSFORIMPROVEMENT: What would make this place PERFECT is if they added power outlets to all their table areas. There are currently none, except the one outlet used by the makeshift fireplace. I enjoy studying here and drinking coffee all the time, so it would be a huge plus if they made this addition, since a person can comfortably stay here through a whole work day since they serve breakfast and lunch. I will definitely come back here to enjoy a hot drink and study at the bar seating overlooking the plaza again! Hopefully they will have more power outlets next time.

I tried Feerless for the first time. I found the coffee to have a much higher acidity level than I like. The service was questionable too.

Great coffee, great food, delicious baked goods and great service. I frequently eat at Fearless and have not yet been disappointed. For those that don’t appreciate the quality products that they serve here, there are plenty of low quality options nearby. For me, Fearless rarely, if ever, disappoints.

I got one of the cold sandwiches — herb roasted turkey — and it exceeded my expectations. The roll was soft, and the inside had lots of nice touches. Arugula as a sandwich green: A+. Also, whatever soft cheese they used on the top half of the roll was tangy and complemented some kind of sweet paste on the bottom half of the roll. The turkey itself was almost the least notable part, but it was good. I was a little thrown off that they had a limited supply of cold sandwiches available when it was just barely 1pm. I was hoping to get the tuna salad sandwich when I first looked at the menu, but they didn’t have it. I also didn’t realize I needed to pick out my sandwich from the rack first, so I waited in line, tried to order, and then was told to go pick out my sandwich. Then I had to wait in line again to pay. Now that I know the drill and that at least one sandwich was delicious, though, I’ll be back.

Their coffee is the best in a few-block radius. Iced coffee is even better. Something about their espresso makes Fearless my go-to for morning oomph. Spicy quinoa for breakfast rounds it all out. Service is friendly and welcoming, one of the key reasons why I keep coming back.

Excellent coffee. Superior service. Open 7 days. The breakfast bacon, egg and cheese with frittata on a homemade English muffin is astonishingly tasty. I love this coffee shop because not only is the coffee excellent, the breakfast tasty. It’s the only coffee shop in my neighborhood that’s open on Sunday morning! Friendly people too.

They advertise breakfast, but there is nothing but coffee. They have pre-packaged lunch items, which may or may not be good. I am rating this purely on the fact that they said they had breakfast items(I expected cafeteria style) and there was nothing. Nothing on the menu or even in the refrigerated kiosks.

The name and logo really attracted my attention. I was craving for a pastry with a cup of coffee. Without hesitation, I came in for a Chocolate Brownie and a Latte. The brownie is delicious, chocolate is not super sweet making it a perfect anytime snack. They do have very good lattes which I liked. I ordered a warm latte, filled with the appropriate amount and latte art. Nice staff members, clean spacious facility and inventory items are neatly placed on shelves. Overall, layout of the entire shop is very well thought out and a positive first experience here, I’ll definitely be back. EDITFROM4÷20÷2015: Fearless is now my go to spot for coffee at Marathon Plaza. Iced Vanilla Latte and a Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf Sandwich — delicious combo for a quick grub. Small Vanilla Latte(Iced) is tasty and now my new favorite beverage here. Bacon Wrapped Meatball Sandwich with Provolone Cheese and Spicy BBQ Sauce is delicious. The Spicy BBQ Sauce adds a deliciously sweet and spicy flavoring, Bacon Wrapped Meatball with Provolone Cheese adds a meaty and cheesy taste to this sandwich. I like how they place these sandwiches on a stand to keep them warm and fresh. I will so come back for the Vanilla Latte and Bacon Wrapped Meatball Sandwich.

Their vanilla lattes are incredibly, like, sickeningly sweet. I get that vanilla lattes are supposed to be sweet, but this was like just drinking condensed milk with vanilla syrup in it. Really good customer service though! Very friendly & nice

This is a cute and conveniently located café. It has a good, colorful vibe — perfect place to grab coffee or a snack. The interior is very spacious with a decent amount of seating. I like that it’s not too cramped together. Service is average for a café, and beverages are cheaper than many other coffee shops in San Francisco. They have a bunch of breakfast and lunch items that I haven’t tried, but everything about this place is just so appealing!

This has quickly become my favorite café in the SOMA.(Sorry Café Centro) First, I’d like to say that good ol’ traditional marketing is still alive and well. Since they set up shop in the 3032nd Street Plaza, I have crossed paths with their sidewalk sign every morning on my way to work. Curiosity got the best of me and one lunch-less day, I(fearlessly) made the trek.(Sorry, I couldn’t help myself…) They have an interesting set-up inside. Wide open space in the center with seating along the windows and outside. It’s refreshing to see all that empty space but it also feels like under-utilized space. But this isn’t a review about interior design, it’s about their dranks and grub. They have pre-packed food, both hot and cold, which is convenient if you want to grab-and-go. Their quinoa tabbouleh is bomb… it inspired me to make a huge batch of my own. They also have little sides you can add to your bigger meal like chicken salad, although it’s pretty pricey for such a small portion($ 3). Overall, Fearless is on the pricier side but the quality of their drinks, fresh baked goods, conveniently packed foods and friendly service is impressive. Yes, I’m a fan!

3.5STARS for offering interesting breakfast and lunch food options that differ from the usual SOMA options. It’s all pre-packed. I’ve come here for a breakfast sandwich once and coffee twice in the past month. Their java costs a bit more than the average cup of coffee but it’s definitely a notch above regular mass produced stuff. The breakfast sandwich actually was very filling and my morning sandwich actually kept me full through and after lunch. That’s definitely something that I would reorder again. The inside doesn’t have much seating but if I had a choice, I’d sit right by the fountains and just bask under the sky and unwind. Although Lee’s is an inexpensive cheaper option nearby, it’s nice to know that I have more options when coming to this plaza for food/drinks.

Time: 12:07pm/69°F intermittent clouds Purpose: Just finish up visiting a client nearby wanted a quick bite where ever I can find a place not too pack. Walking down 2nd street looking for a truck, shop or pop up what ever I see first. Ambiance: Very very bright place with so much space not being use. 6 seater counter style facing the fountain and surrounding area, great for people watching. Back 2 tables with white neon green chairs, weird. One cold case fridge for drinks and perishables, a 3ft hot case, another cold case for premade goods. Middle of floor sits makeshift display shelf for gourmet goods. Counter area was huge sits a LaMarzocco 4 shot extractor rest of the space sat sandwiches on platters and tea boxes. Staff: Some are friendly some not so. With 4 – 5 workers at peak lunch hours and only 2 customers makes you wonder. All were hehe-haha talking about their coming weekends didn’t even acknowledge you standing there. Either they think they’re all mighty or just don’t like people who looks more professional and successful. Cleanliness: Grade A+, immaculate very new place nothing can be seen at this time. Will give it some time before locking in the sanitary part. Eats/Drinks: Herb roasted turkey on baguette $ 9, bag of chips $ 1.50. Tasted like any other turkey sandwiches very basic with your cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, turkey, mayo and mustard. Totally not worth the $ 9 here. As far as a drink to wash it down with I didn’t like the selections, again basic even drinks. Products/Services: Salads, side salads, pastries, danishes, muffins, rolls, fruit and yogurt, parfait, fresh fruit bowls/cups, toast, baguette sandwiches, cold/hot sandwiches, desserts, shortbread cookies, pudding, shortbread, gourmet chips/popcorn. Ingredients are sourced from local organic farms. Open on weekends(check time). Catering available, starts from 8 – 10 people menu. More than 10+ better ask for pricing. Punch Lines: Well lit places, clean, local sourced ingredients, spacious, overstaffed, no greetings, cares more among themselves, no pour overs(mention it’s not worth their time), average eats, lived music band(check with building schedule), water fountain, share business building with office spaces above, 24 Hour Fitness, Marriott Courtyard, freeway entrance, parking lot/garage, CNET, pubs/bars. Tradeoffs: Items price higher to show sustainable practice but something has to give to make a profit. Finding the reason why it’s price like that is a no brainer. Overhead and rent for a place in this part of town is at premium so opening on weekends is a mandatory must. Final Throughts: For a business name Fearless one would think going beyond the call of customers request just to make them happy regardless of loosing a profit or not. Here the opposite is happening with prices that surpass that of Whole Foods for a premade sandwich wrap in plastic. I rather use that $ 9 and walk 2 blocks to WFM get a deli counter person to make it fresh on the spot at least I get to say what I what in it. For the convience and staying within the block it’ll work out for some but after a while they’ll start to look elsewhere.

This place is the closest I’ve found so far in SF to Pret a Manger in the UK(also New York Chicago &DC) which I totally think we need here. Everything(except the bread) is made in house — and they tell me they’ll start making that in house too. We had fantastic sandwiches and a cup of coffee — and all is pre-made, grab and go, no waiting for the hipster in front of you to ponder whether he wants yellow mustard or Dijon while the whole line backs up. We ate with our dog Bob out on their patio — and we will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a high quality takeout sandwich this is your place.

I usually go to honey, sweety baby’s across the street but I thought i’d try something different this morning. I saw their menu online and liked what I read. However, my pet peeve is not being acknowledged and standing at the counter twiddling my thumbs. The barista was right there and a simple«the cashier will be back in just a minute» would suffice. Instead I felt like a dolt just standing there holding my(organic) nuts! One star off… I’m not a coffee drinker but I’m into pastries and parfait cups. So I bought one of each. The parfait was small and about $ 4. But it’s supposed to be organic and made fresh. It contained yogurt(obviously), granola and roasted strawberries. I’m not a connoisseur on organics but the yogurt was a bit runny. But had a good taste. I may get it again but the bang for the buck is still across the street for(non organic, tasty) parfait cups with fresh cut fruit. As for the muffin, it was some sweet strawberry concoction. I always fear them to be dry and bland. But this one was sweet(not overly), moist and tasty. The strawberries inside had lots of flavor. Score! There was another coconut one but maybe I’ll try that next time. Oh, and it’s self-serve on the muffins. And the breakfast sandwiches next to them looked pretty good. Just not $ 6.50 good this morning. Maybe next time as well. Other than leaving me hanging for a couple minutes with no acknowledgement the place was rather large and had an empty feeling to it. They could be better with more tables and chairs or some comfy couches and chairs for patrons to relax and chat in. Maybe some soft music in the background too. But overall, the food was pretty good. It looks like I’ll have to try the lunch sandwiches next time since lots of folks are raving about them. 4 stars, I’ll be back.

I stopped by to give the place a try again, but this time with food! I was told that what I thought were coffee grounds in my latte were actually tiny pieces of vanilla bean used for their vanilla flavoring. This, along with their caramel and chocolate flavoring, are all made from scratch. The coffee this time wasn’t too sweet, and still had a pleasant vanilla taste. For food, I got to try their bacon-wrapped meatloaf sandwich and potato salad with snap peas. I must say… the sandwich was really filling and I struggled to eat more than half(ended up eating the rest as a second meal). It also had a bit of a surprising kick to it, but nothing overwhelming. The potato salad was also pretty tasty and the snap peas was really to my liking. Overall, I’m glad I gave the place a second try and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Ouch! I think it is somewhat unfair to give a restaurant a one star rating based on one off experience. The place is still undergoing a «soft opening» and working out the kinks. I give them 5 stars for the delicious food, great selection of breakfast and lunch items, reasonably priced coffee, super friendly service, and the fact that they are open on Saturdays. I live nearby and nothing seems to be open on the weekend around this area. Super excited that they are now open!

Fearless is your place in the neighborhood for grab-and-go traditional lunch staples, made with an artisanal twist, but doesn’t become a Portlandia punchline. If you’re in a hurry, you could wait in the many lines around the area and scoff your food down in the 10 minutes before your next meeting, or head over here for fresh-made ready-to-go food. Trust me, this isn’t a 7 – 11 type, made in a factory far away somewhere, been on the display for days, kind of lunch. The kitchen in the back pushes out fresh breakfast, sammies, salads, and sweet pastries every morning and through the day. Lots of choices but my bet is on the bacon meatloaf sandwich. I had it reheated at home much later and it was still so good! If you a love meaty sandwich, this is it. The meatloaf is incredibly moist and savory and the bacon just takes it over the top. The Acme roll soaks in all that wonderful meat jus and not to mention the spicy BBQ sauce and melted mozzarella. Yum all around with every bite. I also love the fresh and bright flavors of the side salads so much so that I can easily make a meal out of them. The quinoa salad with with asparagus and radicchio was light and flavorful without tasting too earthy as quinoa often can. The flavor of the beet and farro salad with the feta cheese was well balanced. The humble potato salad gets a fresh take here with a light yoghurt dressing and crisp snap peas to brighten things up. Other items I’ve had here included the roast beef sandwich. It’s a classic combination of roast beef with horseradish, blue cheese, caramelized onions served on afore mentioned Acme bun. Also had a sample of the cheese toastie and I liked how the rich cheeses were counterpointed with sharp pickled onions. Fans of Il Cane Rosso in the neighborhood rejoice. Fearless brings what you’ve come to expect from them to SOMA(yes including that egg salad sandwich albeit with a slight twist) sans the walk to the Ferry Building. For having been open less than a week, it’s a pretty impressive start and I can’t wait to see how the menu and space evolves.

Live across the street from this place and have been watching it build up for a long time. finally opened today. Went in and got the farmer’s salad and looks very tasty. Also got the brownie for the fiancé as well and a strawberry lemon muffin. Coffee is reasonably priced actually in comparison to all the other coffee shops in the area AND they have almond milk. The employees are super nice and very excited about the new location. Also while the food is in containers or wrapped, they are actually made fresh daily and on the spot so its very fresh. Looking forward to trying the coffee.
