The burgers are great of course. But it was the mexicorn and house salad that really surprised me. Awesome place. And the staff was courteous and efficient. Coming back to try the tacos.

I wish I saw Serena W’s comment that it was closed before I came here. Had never been and was excited to have a much needed drink and watch sports while I did some work. The receptionist of the building confirmed the closure:-(

Holding at 2 stars. Every time I’ve been craving that delicious gooey melt with bacon, they’ve been closed. Grill problems or something. There are restaurants that has their stuff together, then there is Feed. But, I’m addicted to their melt, so I will keep going.

Giving this place 4 stars even though they were having some serious technical difficulties with the Warriors game audio when I went. They could do a better job of making it not look under construction. Despite all this, I enjoyed it – I’m sure it helped that the Warriors showed up huge that night. There are lots of TVs to catch a game on, and the food is awesome. I had the garlic fries(4⁄5) and the wings(4.5÷5), both dishes were excellent, and Feed serves some seriously large portions. I tried my friend’s chicken nachos, which she got on fries instead of chips(3.5÷5), and it was enough food to serve 3 people for dinner. Finally, the staff here is super friendly, cool and helpful. Goes a long way!

I had no idea this place existed even though it’s just a few blocks from my house. We came with our newborn son and used their elevator to get to the top floor but as I was ascending I got yelled at that I wasn’t supposed to use it. She didn’t realize I had a child with me but didn’t apologize right away either. And then she spent all of her time trying to figure out how to get the NCAA basketball games on the TV screens versus serving us. So why not a worse rating then? Well the burger and fries were pretty good. I had the Off Beale burger and it was cooked perfectly and had a good flavor.

This place is weird. I met a classmate here, to work on our project and grab a drink. 5pm on a Wednesday and I am the only customer here. The TVs are way too loud, blasting commercials 90% of the time when there is not even a game on. My wine pour was stingy and the server/bartender lady was not such a happy camper. This will be a great place to watch a game and get sloppy, I’m sure.

Sometimes a four-letter word that starts with an ‘F’ doesn’t quite capture the feeling you want to convey. I don’t mean the other ‘F’ word. That one DOES capture the feeling you want to convey at any given moment. This ‘F’ word reminds me of Audrey II, the man-eating plant in «Little Shop of Horrors»…“Feed me, Seymour!” Or maybe it evokes a feed bag like horses got back in the day except Mister Ed, a horse of course, who got peanut butter rubbed on his teeth to make him look like he’s talking. Yes, TV producers back in the 1960’s were not members of PETA. But I lost my train of thought. What was I saying? This Feed is a burger-and-bar-bites place near where I used to work which is probably one reason why I don’t frequent it much. The other reason is that for the two times I’ve been, I haven’t been overly blown away by either the service or the food. But not enough for me to utter the other ‘F’ word. I came here late one Wednesday evening when the only other customers were a table of little kids accompanied by two very harried-looking women. They held court at the big polished stump of a table in front(photo: ). I sat in the main dining area up the little staircase where the staff was just hanging out behind the counter. After a quick review of the menu, I decided on the $ 14 Lamb Burger, medium rare and with a slice of provolone cheese for an extra $ 1.50. Instead of the obligatory FEED fries, I asked them to switch it up by going for the Garlic Mash(photo: ). They were willing to accommodate my request, and in fact, they were motivated to serve me quickly. The irony was that the burger came out overcooked, not a good fate for an innocent lamb. The mash I liked, nice and creamy with a slight kick from the garlic. But the raucous kids needed attention, so I better go before I say the other ‘F’ word in front of them. FOOD — 3 stars… lamb burger a bit dry, a later mushroom burger a bit wet… precarious, ain’t it AMBIANCE — 3 stars… feels more like a bar more than a café SERVICE — 2.5 stars… rushed and not too welcoming TOTAL — 3 stars… Feed is a 4-letter word

Food was okay. Service was terrible. The waitress messed up 3 out 5 orders, plus she was super slow. At the end she also messed up the check. I will not be returning to this place.

For the second time I’ve looked for a spot to happy hour and the reviews of this place got me going. I decided to walk down here to catch the game and let some of the people crowd Bart after work. The place was completely empty(as it was the first time I came) and I asked the girl if they were open. I love the space, TVs everywhere. They had the game on and I felt like I could watch in peace, which was great. I always felt like a drink but when I order/ask, the bartender is never ready or on the clock yet. The food is BOMB. The wings are solid but I think they should come with ranch/blue cheese instead of fancy sauces like«creamy herb» IMO I ordered the blue cheese burger and I was completely bomb. The fries were good too! I definitely enjoyed the meal for sure! Now for the hard bottom line: if you want to go somewhere and not worry about leaving a tip, this is your spot! Service is damn near non existent but cool when you can catch them. Maybe they helped me space my meal out some when waiting for water. Not knocking the joint by any means. I’ll for sure be back the food and scenery is awesome! I’m hoping more people come so it’s live during happy hour!

Came here awhile back with a friend for a quick bite… Ordered the fries, wings and special crab dip that day… Wings-buffalo sauce was too watery, saturated in butter, too acidic/wings by themselves were decent(crisp, juicy, adequately seasoned) Crab dip-ration of crab to cheese was 1 to 3, all we tasted was cheese Fries were standard, the aioli was a good addition but nothing out of the ordinary Overall Thoughts Still just A-OK, if the prices were raised I would question if the value was there

The best part of Feed is the owners and their energy. The food is ok but the owners and the service is truly outstanding. A really great place to enjoy a decent meal and watch sports.

I don’t know about you, but whenever 11⁄12 o’clock rolls around, and I begin to think about heading out to lunch, I start to break out in a cold sweat. I’m a dyed-in-the-wool introvert with perhaps a touch of agoraphobia, and jostling around a bunch of hangry strangers in a cramped, unfamiliar setting is just not very pleasant. All of this is why I prefer to go to lunch with friends… because misery loves company, no? Haha! Totally just kidding… kind of. Anywho, I met up with a friend from my church home group for lunch on a Wednesday. Feed is located on Fremont and Howard, and while the Unilocal map makes it appear like it’s located more on Fremont, in reality, it’s on Howard so just keep heading down the block. When I stepped inside, I noticed a really cool looking table(see uploaded photos) and some other tables for two to my right. All of that is on the lower level, and then there are some steps that take you to another level where there are some raised tables and bar stool like seating, and other tables for larger parties. The place was pretty empty. I know that’s usually not a good sign, but it felt nice to have been able to have lunch in a spacious, relaxed setting. They’ve got some large flat screen TVs set-up(one downstairs and three on the upper level). We decided on a raised table on the upper level, and from where we sat, three were dedicated to football games and one had financial news playing. Gotta cater to your audience, right? My friend was already waiting there when I arrived. The menus were already on the table when I got there, but a waiter still stopped by to ask me if I wanted anything to drink. Knowing that I was going to tuck into something fried and heavy, I opted for water(which they infuse with oranges and watermelon). Here’s what we ordered: me: portobello burger — 10.50 — fresh grilled portobello marinated in balsamic and herbs topped with lettuce, tomato, and grilled jalapeño onions my friend: philly cheesesteak(from the list of daily specials on the wall) — 12 + fusion mojito(blueberry, watermelon, etc.) — 10 Our friend thought his philly cheesesteak was alright, but that his mojito was not that great. As for me, I really liked my portobello burger. Feed buns are baked fresh daily by Rolling Out Bakers, and it really makes a difference. As for the portobello mushroom, it was a pretty thick piece well marinated all over. Yes, it’s balsamic with herbs, but I never got the sense that it was too overwhelmingly sour. That plus the fries made for a really filling lunch. I had a great time at Feed and would probably add it to my lunchtime rotation within the sub-category of places to go when I don’t feel like fending off the masses.

I came here for lunch with my company and was pleasantly impressed with the food that they served here. I ordered a steak romaine salad with an added egg and avocado. The steak was very juicy, on the rare side(just what I like! Borderline bloody), and the charred romaine was very flavorful. What really added to the salad was the sesame honey dressing that came with the salad on the side — I had never tasted such delicious dressing before! We also shared some truffle fries for the table. It came in a big cone, and were very tasty. My only lament was how slow the food took to come out despite the fact that the restaurant was not at full capacity. It took almost 45 minutes for our party of 7 to receive all our food. This place is not cheap though, due to its location in the financial district. My salad would have been over $ 20 if not expensed by my company! I recommend coming for lunch on your company’s dime. :)

Food is top notch! Great selections and good presentation. Restaurant is clean and staff is nice. Prices on the high side, since there are cheaper options nearby, but you pay for the upscale dishes and ambiance. Noon time is crazy busy so if you want a seat, go early or dine later. They honor your requests and will go overboard when booking a private event. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and it’s all DELICIOUS!

Great Happy Hour spot in SOMA. If you don’t look carefully you’ll miss it since there aren’t big signs that say FEED. Love that they have lots of TV’s to watch sports. Felt like a cozy local sports bar. Pretty decent crowd but wasn’t packed(which I personally like). I can imagine this place has ebb and flow of crowds. I’m guessing people just don’t know about it(or just go to Prospect/Palomino’s nearby). Food was pretty good — had the wings and the truffle fries. Also we got them at Happy Hour Prices +++. Got the Orangesicle and Berrytini — both were great if you like sweet«Fruity» drinks. They don’t have a full bar but it has enough beer, cocktails to choose from. They were in the midst of changing their HH Menu. Can’t wait to go back and try their burgers and other items on their menu.

First time, last time. I’ve been itching to go to this place since it opened fairly closely near my work recently. Prices are reasonable, looks not half bad on the inside, serves beer and drinks and has good looking burgers. Ticks all the boxes of local, near work hang out. Unfortunately these thoughts fizzled very quickly after our visit. I came here with a couple of people from work for a lunch. We got here about 11-ish so the place was pretty empty. We were attended to fairly quickly since we were one of the only tables of people there. There were 3 of us, the girls ordered salads each, and I ordered a burger. The interior is very sports bar. First thing someone said with sarcasm was«Gosh, I don’t think they have enough TVs». And they have maybe 10TV’s littered around the place, and the place is small. But I guess they are going for the Sports bar thing, a little too distracting for us. However you really can’t give them just a 1 star for achieving what they set out to be, what did it for me was the food. The salads… very heavy on the lettuce, very little on everything else. On top of that the salad dressings they came with was super sweet. So sweet that if you mixed it with vodka or a tequila it would of been a cocktail. The burger, was dry and greasy and the patty was tasteless and not seasoned correctly. I had to add more salt. It did come with chips,(but no pickles! Not a huge deal, but would of helped with the tasteless patty). The chips weren’t very good and greasy, they tasted like they were refried. By 12 it got super busy, all the tables were filled and there were still people coming in through the door. There was only 2 wait staff on hand so service did slow down a lot. Can’t fault them for being busy or for creating the sports bar that they set out to achieve. Though I came here for the food, and it really wasn’t great and I can’t say it would bring me back. However if you are looking for a drink after a Giants game or just a drink to watch some football or something, this place is for you.

Was starving and in the area so either a huge slice of pizza or a juicy burger would suffice. Decided to come here since it was new and wanted to give it a shot. At first glance, it seemed like a pretty chill vibe. And it was, the server we had was very attentive, I don’t know maybe because we sat at the bar? But I didn’t experience any negative service like the other Unilocalers. I went with a simple burger, I believe it was called the«Off Beale Burger» and added some spice to it with spicy mayo and fresh jalapenos! Yum yum. The burger was mediocre in my opinion. My biggest dislike of the burger was the fact that the buns were burnt a little too much. I think they’re trying to brand the buns like how they do at Umami but it was a little overdone. I don’t really like my food burnt. The food was pretty good, but like I said mediocre at best. Since they’re new I’m sure there’s still a lot of room for improvements. They do have a lot of potential! I really want to come back for that Wall Street burger though. Mmm bacon…

FEEDME!!! (3.6 stars) — FOOD, decent — PRICES, decent — SERVICE, good — AMBIANCE, cute and small Like I’ve said, many of these FiDi lunch time adventures are boring to read. They’re basically long tips rolled up in a review. Lunchtime it gets packed, service is about 10 – 12 minute wait from the time you order to the time you get your food. If you ordered to go it is little faster. HEFERSTATS. CHICKENTACO($ 2.50/each) — it looked plain with chopped green herbs bedazzled all over it. Surprisingly it was tasty. Chicken was good, had some flavor. The green sauce it comes with on the side provided a little extra moist to each bite. TRUFFLEFRIESWITHCHIVES($ 7) — I only work 1 block away and was scared by the time I get to eat my fries will be soggy. Actually, no they were still crispy. you definitely can taste the truffle… Maybe a little too much. They were good UNTIL the bottom of the batch, they were literally swimming in truffle oil. I love truffle oil… BUT not that much where I’m drinking them off the French fries. WILL I BEBACK? Yes. Another go try at lunch and mosdef for HH. Until the next review…

Feed… me, but this place doesn’t strike me It’s a solid burger, thick and juicy But there’s a certain thing it’s missing And I’m not just randomly dissing Got the regular Beale Burger with an egg added. It was good… The beef patty was cooked great, the egg was good, lacked a little salt but added it myself… but it felt like it was missing something… Their fries were amazing, tasty and crispy. The décor is really strange and doesn’t seem to hold a single theme. It was freezing because the door was open, but at the same time smoky enough to make me smell like I was in a burger joint. Friend got the bacon burger(that’s pure bacon) and he loves bacon. But said that he probably wouldn’t get it again because it was too much bacon. To be fair, another friend said he loved it. Service was actually great, very friendly and on top of things.
