Fela’s Discount Store

I got a great deal on some oil paintings there.

Really fond memories of this special ‘discount store’ since I was a kid. The original owners were a husband and wife couple who greeted everyone with «honey» and the woman «Fela» had a special brand of super «eclectic always dressed up chic» that she would dress all the customers with! My parents would always stop in to get bargains on literally everything from sponges to sweaters, and support their business. I did too until it looked like last year they went out of business. HOWEVER, I got an ironic opportunity to support them again, as they closed to renovate, and reopened really streamlined, to still have bargains, but this time on really inexpensive MATTRESSES and rugs. I bought a tempurpedic memory foam mattress from them that I honestly couldn’t afford to buy anywhere else. They hooked me up in the tradition of their parents before them. I’m glad this sweet mom and pop business still exists.

Clothing looks like second hand.

I came here when I was a kid since it was conveniently located next to Ocean Restaurant and Good Luck Dim Sum. Thy had tons of clothing and shoes. I bought pj’s here for a bargain. Too bad it’s closed now.
