I was super excited to have pizza whilst waiting for my flight. However, to my disappointment there was no pizza on the menu, which confuses me as I read the Unilocal reviews of other people. Anywho, while the pizza may have been delicious, my meal itself was also tasty. I ordered the calamari and the linguini(or it may have been some other creamy pasta). It was probably the most satisfying meal I have had! The calamari was somewhat weird only because it wasn’t fried, but the linguini was on point. It was filling and delicious. There are only about 5 tables to sit at, and it takes 45 minutes to get your food. On top of that, you can only order hot food at the bar which adds on another 45 minutes. This definately is not a place to order at if your flight is in an hour.

Waited in line for 30 minutes while 3 members of the staff worked on an order with a line behind me longer than any other place in the airport; only because the other places hadn’t opened yet. No one said anything like«thank you for your patience» or «we’ll be right with you.» Finally the 4th member, possibly the only one who knows how, or is trusted, to run the cash register, gets back to the front and says nothing about the wait and simply takes my order. After paying over $ 15 for an overcooked breakfast sandwich and a juice, the food came out somewhat decent… but very much like every other joint that serves breakfast sandwiches. It seems that poor management has led this place to horrible customer service.

For airport pizza this is good. It is a thin crust pizza with a crisp crust out of a pizza oven.

The beer is super expensive and pricing is not listed. All plastic cups too. Pizza seems thinner than ever in terms of volume and the cheese seems runnier and less flavorful than last years. Seems like a poor excuse for a pizza place and if it’s making money it’s only because of location. Not recommended but not horrible in a captive environment.

Can’t complain… pretty decent and fast for an airport stop, typical expectations… which are lowered quite a bit when traveling through the bustle of random people, and the airline you selected sucks… yes, you United Eff’ Your Life Airlines, weather delays, flight crew hours reached, hunger pains, and desperation… this place put a bit of a smile on my face. Of course, with the thin crusted pizza you must have beer. They don’t have many on draft, three I believe, but a bigger selection of bottled beers. I got exactly what I ordered and new what it would look based off of two things…1) fellow Unilocalers photos 2) being nosy and looking at the pizzas others were eating. It is kind of greasy but could be because I specifically requested some bacon, lol. Paired that with beer and all of the sudden my flight delays seemed a little more bearable. Worth checking out if pizza is what your craving… like you have that many options, lol.

In the past couple years, I’ve tried two pies here: margherita was quite boring & unsatisfying; mushroom has a good amount of caramalized onion in the mushroom mixture, marinara was too tangy. The crust stays crisp for 10 – 15 minutes. I made the mistake of saving half my pie for when I got settled on the plane(as I wasn’t hungry enough to finish it before boarding) & the thin crust had become cold, soft, & flimsy. You know, general grossness. In the real world, I’d give these offerings 2 stars; but for the world contained within SFO, you could do worse than Firewood, so 3 stars.

Ehhh for 17 $ for a veggie pizza and a bottle of water I wish I was a lil happier! The pizza was super super greasy… You can’t expect amazing food from the airport but adequate food would have been nice. The artichoke on the pizza was fabulous, everything else was a lil soggy and disappointing! WAAAAAAY too much cheese so it made everything else soggy… Wasn’t terrible but next time I’ll probably just hold off on airport pizza!

I tried ordering the breakfast pizza at 11:50am(all their signage states that breakfast is served until noon). Short story is they refused to serve me breakfast because they put all of the breakfast supplies away early. So, you get one star for refusing to serve me and for false advertising; I especially want to call out the dude named Connor in the kitchen who was too lazy and too much of a piece of s#*t to go get some egg and sausage. At least, I can now better relate to Michael Douglas’s character in Falling Down. Screw you, Firewood Café. I will never be coming back.

First off, the pizza came out FAST! I’m talking no more than 5 minutes, obviously that’s a plus if your trying to catch a flight! I ordered the chicken pesto pizza, a little hesitant at first(I saw the display and it looked nasty) but came to enjoy it. Hot and tasteful, was it the best? No. But I mean we’re at an airport. What do you expect? Would I order it again? Yes I would. I would definitely packed on the parmesan! I gave it a 3 for Great service! Tasteful food that did the job, and quick service. There’s always room for improvement :)

Breakfast was nice, got a ham-cheese-bellpepper scramble. Good portions, came with delicious bacon and potatoes. Food held up well, munched on it throughout my flight and enjoyed it.

Typical airport food. Extremely expensive. $ 13 for an once of cheese on a lot of dough. Mostly tasteless. Mostly worthless.

It was okay airport food. No Michelin Stars here but it served it’s purpose at an inflated cost to go fill our stomachs.

The service model isn’t great but the attitude of our waitress was terrible. The food was good but not good enough to make up for her not-so-sunny disposition.

Just don’t. This is one of the worst pizzas I’ve had to date. I was starving or I wouldn’t have eaten more than one bite. Very disappointed. What a waste of time and a good space that a restaurant with good food could use.

The pizza wasn’t that bad. I mean, if I almost missed my flight because of it the first time I was here… There must have been something that I liked about it if I came back here a week later. Now I wasn’t almost late because the service was slow. I was almost late because I was too busy eating that damn pizza! I’m pretty sure that I burnt the inside of my mouth because I was rushing to finish the pizza. I had the Margarita pizza the first time and I think it took about 10 minutes to make and it was really good. They also have a buzzer tool that will buzz you once you meal is ready for pick up(I don’t know if the other restaurants had the same thing). The second pizza I ate here was the Chicken Pesto pizza which was some much more tastier. I can’t wait to fly back through SF and eat more pizza.

Really a very mediocre pizza. I won’t comment on the price, as everything in the airport is expensive, but the value for money is poor. I ordered an Italian sausage pizza, which I assumed would come with chunks of Italian sausage… instead of was pretty much ground pork, with little flavor and seemingly no Italian spices to speak of. The crust didn’t have much flavor, and the marinara was so-so. Really a very disappointing pizza, and I would avoid.

This is one of my go to places in terminal 3. I have had both breakfast and lunch here, it has always been good. You need to allow them a little time to make and cook your pizza, but it really is not that long. Also the pizza box is convenient for taking on the plane, but it will make your neighbors jealous.

I was looking for some breakfast since I was at SFO in the morning and the United Club doesn’t have any hot food, and the egg scramble here sounded pretty decent. I was informed by a very surly cashier that they didn’t take credit cards(I am assuming he meant the machine was broken at the time); fortunately there were ATM’s for major American banks near the food court. Ordered the veggie egg scramble and although not bad, the it was very overcooked, with all of the cheese pooling into a congealed lump at the bottom. It came with a slice of focaccia bread, bacon, and potatoes, all of which were decent. Perhaps their pizza is better, perhaps their other staff members are friendlier, and perhaps they do take credit cards… but overall I just didn’t really have an enjoyable breakfast here.

What the. I was shocked to see this place has low reviews. Considering all the crap pile food options in all the airports I’ve been in, this is a win. I was lured by the smell of the cooking pizza & open woodfire oven. They have pre-made sandwhiches and salads, but I opted for a margherita pizza as that tends to be my go to. I also got served up a double Vodka Cran and made my way to sit down while I waited. Less than 10 minutes later my pizza was ready! The crust was crunchy and crisp from the oven & the toppings were to perfection. I ate every little piece possible. Good pizza, good drinks, good service and not horrifically pricey for the airport by any means.

Airport food. Need I say more. Well, actually this is pretty good considering what you might find in other airports nationwide. Rather than dining on national chains(Pizza Hut, Panda Express, Burger King, etc.), we are fortunate to have wood burning ovens serving fresh food albeit at a slight premium price wise. My stomach pointed me here after thinking about the various options in Terminal 3(Tomakazu, Lori’s Diner, Boudin, etc.). I ordered a mushroom pizza( ) which was served hot. Don’t expect a Zero Zero or Tony’s quality pizza here. They have a good variety of drink selections and salads are also available for those seeking lighter fare. It’s probably a notch below those gourmet vendors in Terminal 2, but it did the job for me during a recent voyage to SoCal.
