Go Getters Pizza

I stopped in for a quick slice of cheese pizza because I only had 10 minutes before a hair appointment and this place was right around the corner. I was skeptical– Mexican & Pizza? The slice turned out to be decent. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if I need a quick slice on the way to the salon again I’d probably stop by.

**DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE** First, all my coworkers warned me about their history of food poisoning. But I was starving one day and went and the tacos were decent so I kept coming back. But Now. They charge me more every time I come here for the same damn items!! the last time I was here about 2 weeks ago and ordered 4 tacos they cost me $ 16! Really! And they can never tell me why the price is so high they just say our prices went up!!! Prices for what? Are they adding Filet Mignon? Or maybe I ordered the filet Mignon tacos with edible gold flakes and just didn’t know what I was ordering!!! Wtf! I make good money but I am NOT paying $ 30 for 4 tacos! I’d rather starve than spend my hard earned money here. Not even gourmet/​Fusion tacos cost this much… I walked right back in and got a refund!

I have lived in hayes valley for over 10 yrs and never ev er had a issue with gogetters until now. I live 3 whole blocks from therd they couldnt delivrr my food in 2 hours and still charged my card. They have horriable service and are very rude. I wouldnt order anything from there ever again or suggest it to anyone. I waited for the driver outside for over a hour and when i called they lied and said the driver was there. They argued with me and the food is always delivered close to cold. DONT WASTE TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE ITS NOT WORTH IT

Decent pizza, but if you are delivering to a hotel, you might want to include plates, cutlery and napkins!

Worst pizza place in the world. I just got my pizza delivered an hour late and cold. How is this place still in business?

Looking for something cheap in the area, decided to try this place.
Awful steak burrito. Flavorless, crunchy rice, and extremely greasy. I couldn’t finish half before feeling sick and threw it out.
Worst still, despite being the only customer at the time I stopped by, they messed up my order and used the wrong beans.
Simply awful. Spend your money elsewhere.

I love this pizza and, I am here to complain about the service. I called about 845pm and placed an order with Roberto. My order was simple, 1 large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I asked for it to be delivered to the front of the Asian Museum 200 Larkin st corner of Mcalister. Told Roberto that we were in a tan dodge pickup with searchlights trailer attacged to the back with the lights going. Called back at 955pm asked how much longer I was told 2 to 7 minutes. we get a call at 1925pm from the driver who spoke limited English telling me he was on polk st asking where I was located. I told him and even gave him directions we were 5 blocks from the restaurant. He called 4 more times and after the fourth time found us. So he calls me on the phone and tells me to come to his car a half a block away in the rain to get my pizza I asked him to deliver the pizza to me he became indignant. He choose not to get out of his vehicle and drove off. I called Maria the owner and explained the situation. She really didn’t understand what had happened she wanted to resend this cold soggy pizza back to me told me that she was closing in 20 minutes. I was looking forward to having her pizza as I always do when I am working the city which is about 4 times a month. I feel that Maria being the owner would have sent mea fresh pizza as I have been a 20 year customer. As a principle issue I will no longer have Go Getters as my number 1 Pizza place. I felt that my business was unimportant as if she was giving me a free pizza. I am saddened that there is no value on my past business and friendship. I then declined her to send the same cold soggy pizza out fearing what the driver could have done to it and asked her to reverse the charges back to my credit card. She said that this has never happened before that she will try to return the money and if it doesn’t return to my account to call her in 3 or 4 days. Amechi’s Pizza here I come.

I’ve ordered from this place one time before, and the deliver took over an hour and a half. I thought I would give it another try because the food was pretty good. Ordered some breakfast food 1 hr, 50 mins ago. I called the restaurant 40 mins ago to check on my order and they said it was on the way (and the guy who answered the phone was really rude). Eat24 checked on my order 20 mins after that, and they said it would be here in less than 10. Then the restaurant called to say the driver got the orders mixed up so he had to drive back to the restaurant to pick up my order, but he would be here in less than 10. That was about 20 mins ago. Still waiting…

So nice to have such a great pizza place in Hayes Valley!!! We go here more often than Patxis now. (Though stick to the pizza, the mexican food is nowhere near as good as the pizza.)

Great food, either Italian or Mexican. I’m really happy to see the dining room take on such an international flair. English being spoken at two tables, Spanish being spoken at one, and three Russians conversing at a table near the back. It’s not uncommon to hear French and Arabic being spoken here also, all in my little neighborhood restaurant.. .. if that sort of thing appeals to you.

Waited 1 hour for a pepperoni pizza to be delivered 3 blocks away. Get a call saying their website is messed up and it didn’t say what I wanted. They wait an hour? Then she says it will take another 45 minutes. An hour and 45 minutes for a pizza? Unacceptable. I ask for the managers phone number…“we can’t give that out”. I ask for something extra to make up for the inconvenience…“we can’t do that”. Since GoGetters Pizza moved from their old location this is the second time that they’ve screwed up a delivery order. Time to find a new pizza delivery! They seriously don’t know what they’re doing and obviously do not care about their customers.

My choir rehearses close by, so I popped in early one morning to see if I could grab a slice. There weren’t any ready yet, so I had a burrito, WHICH WAS AWFUL. First, the very inattentive woman at the counter got my order wrong (I asked for no rice); second, everything within was some really unpleasant kind of oily that left me feeling sick after my meal; and third, this was way overprice, particularly for something so unsatisfying. I may try them again for the pizza, but would likely not order anything else.

I wrote this review for the old location, but it still stands true!
Pizetta 211, Delfina, and A16 all have their place in this world… if you like waiting seven million hours and eating pizza with a fork and knife – nothin wrong with that.
BUT if you can appreciate a good, perfectly cheesy and saucy, under-​hot-​lights-​then-​­thrown-​in-​the-​oven, 85 degree angle, three dollar slice served up by a smiling family member who knows you by name because you’ve been going there for three years and you understand that a good by-​the-​slice slice is extremely hard to come by in this town, then GO GETTERS is your spot.
Because when it’s midnight and and I’ve been out on the town, and I’m ready to ditch these platforms and crash on the couch with something greasy and cheesy, I am NOT willing to bother with a fork, knife, or seven million hour wait.

After hearing the wait at a certian place on Hayes St was 1.5 hours, I said screw it and went to this local place and hade a great expirience. Good Place to grab a slice of pizza. HUGE SLICES, good taste. Check them out! Been there a few times and always good.
